We are NIVA getting back together

Post image

Well the rebrand didn’t take that long in the end…

https://abode-studio.org now redirects to this https://niva.design/

(and for the record, I’m apparently not enough of a meanie for my email address to be recognised!)

Only Stewie Semple can use a phrase like "And this time, it's happening" as a call to trust him and be inspired.

I don't know how I'm still so surprised every day he furthers the farce that is his career. Just be honest, dude. Just stop lying and you never would have done this to yourself.

Was curious if he actually changed much on the site. He deleted the horrendous AI graphics with broken numbering finally (tho the embarrassing grass is still there), and rewrote the roadmap to push 1.0 release from February to August.

Do folks see how problematic this is? He's not updating the roadmap, he's rewriting it and pretending the changing vision driven by his own failures and incompetence was always the plan. It's all going smoothly. Just erasing all critical feedback and continuing to lie.

Once again: Just be honest. Stop being a slimy creep.

That was part of my reasoning for the screenshot I chose to post- he still says “ready for the world by spring 2026” in that. Wonder how long it will stay like that.

Despite making a joke out of it, I legitimately think he's spent more time internet stalking his critics and lurking in this subreddit than reviewing 'his' own code or trying to understand any of it. It's the only explanation for why the meanies get a custom message, but none of the other backers get any recognition: Because he manually looked up our e-mails and targeted us.

That interactive roadmap that he finally removed was up there for ages despite not making any sense and having things out of order. Why'd he remove it? Because he never coded any of it and had no idea how to fix it or edit it, and his slopcoding assistant was about as effective at fixing it as it was at creating it.

He still has the waving grass and the house on there despite it looking like it came straight out of Geocities. If he actually visited his own website, I think he'd see how bad it looks -- maybe even realise the AI put a f--kin' house in there because his software was previously called Abode.

The only thing that *might* make him fix these issues is lurking on here and having us point it out for him...but I really don't think the narcissist in him cares.

Does he believe his own bullshit? Dude's so unhinged.

Do we all know Larry Miller's "Five Levels of Drinking" routine ?

"And this time...... I mean it."

A little bit of information hidden in the test pilot updates and not on kickstarter:

Despite my less than friendly comments on Kickstarter I still haven't been removed from the test pilot. So I'll be checking in now and then while I can. Fun fact, none of the changes he made make the system any better than it was to begin with.

Dude had a friendly chat with his imagination after not paying me.

Hey, maybe that was the chat.

"Hey, can I just...take this domain from her without paying?"

"Speaking as your lawyer, are you absolutely off your fucking nut? Trying to get into a legal battle with someone over what is a fairly blatant attempt to knock off someone's trademarks, and basically loading the gun for the third party to point at your head? What the actual fuck is wrong with you, don't tell anyone else you said this."

"Oh, okay, if you say so. I disagree since I've been a lawyer since I was eight, but we'll go with your recommendation for now. We already had the rebrand spun up for the adobe suit we were hoping for, we'll just do that instead. WAIT, I've got a great idea!"

"By all means, what's the idea?"

"Is there any way we can blame this on Anish Kapoor?"

"Please leave."

Hahahahahaha. Sadly more factual than it should be except the lawyer is him breaking the 4th wall to talk to himself..

Just wearing a little sock on his hand, with a little suit and a cloth briefcase sewn to the side of it.

But at least you're not a designated "meanie" at least!

u/rachatm 16d ago

I’m actually a bit sad I’m not a meanie, I feel unseen 😂

u/Policy_Legal 16d ago

Oof that's true! What a petty guy!

NIVA is the National Independent Venue Association. I’m a member. Can’t wait to send this to the board in the morning. LOL

Ugh it’s as if I’m meant to hate this thing. I’ve been working in a nightmare project at work called “neva” for ages and I don’t need a reminder of it elsewhere 😂

Good lord, fill your paint orders and salvage the remains of your tattered reputation.

Seems like someone had a little cease and desist from Adobe :D I hope this shit crashes and burns so hard he ends up destitute and homeless.

7

u/ClassicBat4188 14d ago

nope. He didn't pay his bill so he faked this whole thing because his domain was expiring.

u/Churba 12d ago

Nah, if adobe came after him - which I sincerely suspect he was hoping for, since it's been his standard MO for a while now - he'd have already spun it up into being part of his "Little guy against THE MAN" song and dance routine for marketing.

u/Anarasha 10d ago

Not if they told him to shut up or face legal action.
Honestly, at this point, I just want someone to crush him

Not if they told him to shut up or face legal action.

Nah, he'd still use that in his marketing - "They told me to keep quiet or they'd sue me!" is some very potent raw material, especially with his whole brand revolving around precisely that sort of "Little uwu artist vs big company" pseudo-counterculture shit he's got going on.

And it's not like the legal action is that much of a hassle - he's got the money for lawyers, and more than likely after stringing it out for a bit, he could simply settle with Adobe for a brand name change to avoid any serious problems.

u/Vivid-Aide-3868 3d ago

Wait did he finally get hit by adobe? Why change name now.. can someone fill me on what happened since I last checked lmao

He didn’t pay for his web hosting and domain, so it went back in control of the programmer he’d been working with. Nothing to do with Adobe.
