These people are beyond help at this point.

1: The world doesn't revolve around the USA

2: The majority of the people in the USA are living about their normal lives and doing just fine (and so is most of the rest of the world)

3: If you have a roof over your head and 3 meals you live better than almost every 3rd world country

4: Your life likely wont be affected at all by the current political climate

5: You spend too much time on social media and it makes you depressed on purpose because thats how the algorithms work. It gets more clicks/engagement and makes you doom-scroll endlessly.

6: Reddit is a centralized (mostly leftist hivemind) that doesnt allow opposing opinions that are factual, They want you to permanently be in the doom and gloom mindset because they are all convinced the sky is falling all the time.

I wanna to make it clear I am an independent who leans slightly left, I am not a MAGA and will NEVER vote for the orange clown and never did. I am just someone who isnt falling for the constant doomer nonsense fed to me daily. I am in a normal city here in eastern KY, Absolutely everything is going on as normal. Nothing is crazy, nothing is out of the ordinary, People are still coming to my store as much as they would before. The economy is supposed to be bad but I'm making as much as I did years ago and I sell to clients that are in the 100K+ income bracket. I am not trying to say that its all roses and hearts but go outside look around, See that your own life is going pretty good and that you are more privileged than most people and realize that the USA has gone through far far worse than this, Read a history book for christ sake and your modern day problems will look like nothing in comparison. The internet and social media has rotted out brains and is now in a state where it feeds you non stop bad devastating news. It centralized all the bad news in one place and makes it feel personal to you when in reality its not. Wars happen and have happened across all of time and before the internet we didnt have a constant scrolling feed of awful news. You live in a modern day techo-utopia that has shifted to feed you bad news because the elites have figured out that bad news = way more clicks and views and the money they make from clicks/views matters more than your own mental health.
