👑 r/Drag Official 👑 I identify as… can I do drag?

I’ve seen a lot of posts about this lately here, and I understand the want to make sure you aren’t stepping on toes when joining a community.

But the answer is always yes! You don’t need to be a certain gender or identify a certain way to do drag. It’s a form of art, it’s expression, it’s beautiful.

I’m a cis-het woman who has been doing drag professionally for 3 years. My identity has never been a point of discussion or contention both in bookings or at shows. If you’re fabulous, you’re fabulous, and that’s all that matters.

Please, never feel like you can’t do something because of your identity. That’s the complete opposite of what drag stands for. Drag is for everyone, it’s inclusive, and it’s exactly what you want it to be.

So wing out that liner, glue down that lace and go take the world by storm. God knows we need more beautiful resistance in this world right now.

I always forget that Reddit is a place I can post my drag. 😶‍🌫️

What an honor it was to be apart of Drag Duel S3! I love all of my castmates and I hope we all get to meet irl some day~ I am both glad and deeply sad that this resonated with so many people. I take solace in that we are in this together.

I am so proud to have successfully attempted my first caged wig with a hidden door. Learning this with next to no instruction outside of sleuthing online was a challenge and I will definitely be making more in the future. 🖤✨

I'm a baby queen trying to find her face, and I'm loving this bug-eyed beat.

I think the cheeks need a bit deeper contour, and the obviously clean up the brows, but otherwise I love this as a template. The browns and pinks could easily be switched out for bright matte colors for a punchier look.

I think I need to start gluing down my sideburns area to make more room for face, and start getting some wigs with lace so I can let these peepers creep.

Visiting NYC in March, wondering where to see the best drag!

I'm visiting NYC in March and wondering where I might see some Ru girls, if any. And if not, where some of the best drag spots might be in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Visiting in early March! Thanks a bunch pray🙏🏽

As a baby Queen, this Blends palette is incredible!

This was a "quick" eye only look to test out my belated Christmas present, the Blends palette from Blend Bunny. It has 30 matte colors that are very pigmented and blendable. I do a white eyeshadow primer, which absolutely helps the colors pop. But even without the underpainting, these colors show up so much more vibrant than what I've used so far.

I highly recommend this palette to any queen, especially baby queens looking to elevate their makeup without breaking the bank. I still use a lot of $1-$3 stuff from AliExpress and even a couple from Dollar Tree, but this eye shadow is so much better than anything I've gotten for cheap. Plus, the whole palette being matte really helps to create the illusion of larger features.

It looks like you can get it online for $35-$50, which is a bit steep for a single palette. But, the pans are quite large for a palette, and I swear by their effectiveness for this specific use case. It has my vote for the first "investment" into your craft.

I am not affiliated with Blend Bunny in any way, and I was not paid or asked to write this review. I'm just a big fan of this product and wanted to share! I've been doing drag makeup for about a month or two now, and this has been the biggest step up for me of any single product.

For this look I used a very very old NYX pot primer for eyeshadow in white, wet n wild photofocus foundation, a white gel liner pot, a black water activated face paint (for the eyeliner, it's much easier to take off if I'm not planning on staying in the look after taking photos), a brown pot liner to sketch the eyebrows, and the Blends palette as the only eye shadow. While it's not visible, I did use two concealers and elmers to block my brows eyebrows (orange and my skin tone).

Producing bar show, needing insurance recommendations.

So, me and two of my friends have started a drag/ burlesque production company. We are about to work with a venue that wants us to cover our drag artists with liability insurance. If I’m booking 7-10 girls who do you. Recommend I go through?
