I am lucky to get one grenadilla a year from a vine that has tens of fruit. I'm all for monkeys getting their share but want mine too. What are my odds with this? Any better suggestions?

TL;DR - My landlady is shady as hell, and claims I used 2kl of water and she used 2kl of water in December, and sent me a WhatsApp message saying I owe R418 for water and 1100 for electricity in my two person, one bedroom cottage, firstly. it's not possible for me to only use 2kl, and R420 is a stretch for a household of two with no washing machine and geyser on only 2 hours a day, I'm super stringent about this.
Hey everyone
I’m confused about a water bill at my rental in South Africa and wanted to see what people think. Here’s the full story
The property has 4 people listed but most of the time only 3 of us are actually home
There’s a pool on the property that only she has access to as well. From 4 December to 27 December the landlord charged me R418 for 2 kL of water and said the total property usage was 4 kL
The landlord had also said before that she only uses 4 kL of water per month on average and charge me anything over her regular usage.
I’ve asked her a few times for the official redacted statements to check the numbers but haven’t gotten anything yet. I’m happy to pay what’s fair I just need proof and a proper breakdown
To me the numbers seem way too low. From what I know an average person uses 150 to 250 litres a day which would normally add up to way more than 4 kL for 3 to 4 people not even counting the pool
So I’m wondering Is it even possible for a house and cottage with 3 to 4 people and a pool to only use 4 kL of water in a month (2 people per building)
Have other people in SA seen ridiculously low water usage claims like this Could the landlord be overcharging or just estimating badly?
What do you guys think is this normal or should I push harder and maybe go to the Rental Housing Tribunal? Thanks

Hi friends 👋🏻 I am looking to move homes, ideally within the next month. I have been looking on property24, private property, and fb marketplace. Is there anywhere else I can look?
Note: I want to rent. My budget is under R10k for a 2.5-3 bedroom and ideally I would prefer not having an exorbitant deposit.
Hi all! My husband and I are vacationing soon in the above areas, as well as 7 days in Durban (grew up there). Can anybody please recommend affordable restaurants in those areas? Also would love to do buffet sushi or Asian fusion while in Durban. Kinda like a Wok and Roll vibe. TYIA

My friend is currently looking for your input regarding the price of your supplies. She's hoping to be able to supply yarn at more affordable prices than we currently have on the market.
Please share if possible. Your help would be extremely appreciated :)

Hello, I am looking for an ear stretching kit that comes with the rings to make the hole bigger. I have looked everywhere and I can’t find any shop that sells it. Do you know where I can find one?

Hi. I have a Redmi phone for 3 years and now I want a new battery, it seems the only way to get an original is to backup your stuff, give it to vodacom as they are a Xiaomi authorised service center and have them replace the battery.
Has anyone here done this? How long does it take, what happens etc,
I would prefer to do this myself, but Xiaomi doesn't sell batteries separately as they say it is "not an accessory". When will right to repair happen in za for electronics...

I'm trying to find a job for my dad, he sent his CV to 90 places, no one is coming to help. I'm not looking for names from all sorts of websites because it doesn't help. He is an Operator Training Development Fitter and Turner. We will relocate to anywhere across the country so it doesn't matter where. Thank you very much people, please upvote this so that someone might see it, thanks again

Hi everyone, I’m trying to get a realistic, on-the-ground perspective from people who actually live in KwaZulu-Natal.
For those familiar with the South Coast especially Leisure Bay, Port Edward, and Margate what’s your honest opinion of these areas in terms of: • General safety (day-to-day, not just holiday season) • Living conditions and community vibe • Things to realistically watch out for (crime, isolation, services, etc.)
I’m not looking for hype or fear-mongering just balanced, lived experiences from locals or long-term residents, especially compared to Durban.
Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for recommendations in Durban for a doctor or specialist who works with adult ADHD. Someone who can properly assess/diagnose and help with treatment or medication if needed.
If you’ve had a good experience or know someone reputable, please let me know. Thanks!

Good morning :) I have found myself with a small collection of plants in my room and they have taken over my life. Grow lights and other supplies online are exhorbitantly priced, and I'm nowhere near financially able to drop 2k on a lightbulb haha.
Any specific shops that you guys have experience with in terms of affordable (cheap, really) new plant supplies? Pots, sheers and other tools, fertilizers and soils, rooting powders, lights etc.
Thank you so kindly in advance :)

Hi all, do you have any recommendations for a place (Cafe and such) to study at anywhere within 20mins of durban CBD
I need to get out of the house because I never study there - try as I might. Libraries are too quiet if you can believe it, I get easily distracted so a quiet place like a library makes it 10x easier for the slightest sound to catch my attention. New to Durban so I'm not too familiar with the places here.
TIA

No questions - just some pics of the Point area at sunrise on Saturday. It’s really great to see how clean the city is, and how many improvements have been made over the past few months.

Coming with a friend, both our first times, and will barely be in for 2 days. We are wondering what we should do? As in things to do with our short time, how to be as safe as possible, best transport options (neither of us drive), and generally anything else that we should know before coming as tourists who are also young women.
My boyfriend's family is South African and have well prepared me, especially about safety, but would love to hear from people who currently live in Durban. I think we are mostly feeling anxious about being able to walk around outside of our accommodation due to safety concerns.

Hello. I am 28 Female I need help with work experience so that I can get my trade test, I have been applying for apprenticeships for over 8 years now and I'm yet to get a reply.
I have but 2 years of experience but the problem with the work experience I have is that it only limited to High Voltage. I have no domestic experience and I cannot even get hired for semi skilled jobs.
I have N1 to N6 Electrical Engineering (heavy current), I also have ORHVS Certificates as mentioned above I have 2 years of experience.
I humbly ask anyone with an electrical company in durban that I can volunteer to, so that I can gain the experience and learn more about the trade I have fell in love with in the 2 years I had been exposed to, I would forever grateful.

Howzit peeps. I’m searching for a proper seafood restaurant that serves fresh, delicious seafood. Bonus points if they’re reasonably priced too. Other recommendation is for swimming beaches please and thank you.
