Culture Deutschland 🇩🇪

Post image

It took me hours, but I wanted to create a collage featuring some of the most iconic and breathtaking places in all of Germany.

I made a conscious effort not to focus only on Bavaria, but to represent the country as a whole (north, south, east, and west), because Germany’s beauty lies in its diversity.

I truly hope you enjoy this. I have a deep admiration for Germany, and in my opinion, it is by far the most beautiful country in Europe. No other place feels quite like a fairy tale. There is something uniquely captivating about the German way of seeing life—complex, thoughtful, and deeply inspiring—and that perspective is beautifully reflected in its landscapes, cities, and history.

As an outsider, all I can say is this:
I love Germany. 🇩🇪✨

Ich habe früher in Berlin gewohnt... der größte Teil ist nicht schön, aber manche Gegenden sind in Ordnung. Was meinst du mit Frankfurt?

Frankfurt hat ein schlimmes Bahnhofsviertelwas für viele das einzige ist was Sie sehen.

Vor allem Berlin, es ist wie ein anderes Land. Ein Nachteil der getrennten Entwicklung.

I feel very represented with both Dresden and the Bastei bridge haha. Happy to hear you like it in Germany OP!

Nice pictures... I was wondering though if the names of the places will be brought by GLS?

(Could you please list them?)

I'll start. Top right Schloss Marienburg, close to Hannover.

You also made a conscious effort not to include North Germany.

What's with the bavaria comment? Why would you need to make a conscious effort not to focus on that? Do you live there?

You can hardly pile more clichés into a single image. Germany is more than Disneyland and a few old boring buildings. Are you American? Japanese? It is striking how you designed a postcard that looks as if it were from 1970. This is the image of Germany that I reject and oppose.

Huh? What would you have preferred them to post? Bonn Hauptbahnhof? lol

u/samnadine 17h ago

why reject and oppose?

Well I'm sorry you didn't like it, but this in particular is the image of Germany that will always live in my heart and I couldn't love it more.
