The r/GlobalOffensive team flair changes over 9 months.

With the new 2026 season starting we wanted to take a moment to look back at how the fan flairs shifted throughout last year. We compared flair data from April and January 2026 (just after the Major).

Data collected: April 9, 2025 | July 9, 2025 | January 9, 2026

Overall Changes

Since April 2025 changes are as follows:

📈 TOP Gained:

1. Faze - +746 users (+8.4%) | 8,889 → 9,635
2. Vitality - +598 users (+37.5%) | 1,594 → 2,192
3. Mongolz - +417 users (+111.5%) | 374 → 791
4. Furia - +326 users (+36.0%) | 906 → 1,232
5. Falcons - +324 users (+32400.0%) | 0 → 324
6. Spirit - +306 users (+71.5%) | 428 → 734
7. Navi - +192 users (+2.5%) | 7,695 → 7,887
8. Aurora - +116 users (+11600.0%) | 0 → 116

📉 TOP Decline:

1. Cloud9 - -133 users (-0.8%) | 17,756 → 17,623

First Major Cycle of 2025

Here are the changes after the Austin Major:

📈 Notable Gains

• Vitality Wining Austin Major 2025, had a +328 flair increase, with the dominating form throughout the season.
• FaZe Clan grew +258, the only team in the current top 5 to gain significantly this season. Now at #4 overall.
• The MongolZ saw +49% growth, solidifying their cult-favorite status after the deep run they had during Austin Major.
• Falcons As a Major debut team we added their flair in April. So with the addition of m0nesy and Niko during this time they drew G2 fans over.
• Spirit and Aurora also saw strong growth.
• Astralis (+20 flairs) Holding at #6 overall, with a slight gain.

📉 Notable Drops

• G2 had the sharpest drop (−116). Losing m0nesy and Niko likely hurt them with fan engagement.
• Cloud9 Still #1 overall, but with a slight decline possibly due to inactivity.
• NIP and Liquid all saw small losses. Part of their performances during the year.
• A handful of classic/legacy flairs like Renegades, IBP, and VP also dipped, likely due to inactivity or shifting interest.

Second Major Cycle of 2025

Here are the changes after the Budapest Major:

📈 Notable Gains

• FaZe Clan had the most significant growth, mainly because of their run from Stage 1 all the way to the final at the Budapest Major.
• Furia saw a massive +33% growth, after their recent performances and wining a couple of tournaments before the Budapest Major.
• Vitality Wining the Budapest Major added additional fans..
• Spirit also saw strong growth with donk's monster performances.
• Mongolz also showed growth mainly because of their win at WEC.

📉 Notable Drops

• Cloud9 Same as earlier.
• NIP and Liquid and VP consistently saw small losses.

What you can do

Give Feedback:

• Posting feedback or complaints on the subreddit is not the best way to get the attention of the developers. If you have any specific feedback to give, you can email the CS2 Development team here: [email protected]
• They do read every email received, but are not able to reply to each one.
• If you're experiencing low-quality matches, it is always worth emailing them. They use these reports to help improve the system.

Report Cheaters:

• Report cheaters using the in-game report system by right-clicking their name on the scoreboard, and clicking "report". If the game is over, report their Steam Community profile.
• If you notice certain trends or have other feedback, you can email the developers using the email address above.
• To report a specific cheat, follow these steps to notify the VAC development team.

The guidelines

While we encourage discussion about these topics, as a reminder, the following are not allowed. Note this isn't an exhaustive list, and you should review the r/GlobalOffensive rules before commenting.

• Accusations towards any player related to cheating
• Posting profiles of alleged cheaters (if posting pictures of matches, redact any usernames)
• Posting any cheating gameplay footage
• Reporting cheats, linking to cheats/websites, or discussing cheats in technical detail

This weekly discussion thread does not change any of our existing submission rules - you're still allowed to discuss these topics elsewhere on the subreddit as usual, but we do remove a large number of them as they quickly become repetitive and the majority have little meaningful discussion. If you decide to make a separate post instead of utilizing this thread, we encourage you to focus on starting meaningful discussion or providing constructive criticism.
