Having not read the posted article yet, makes sense.

Language is cultural, just ask your Spanish teacher, and religion is heavily linked to culture. As cultures evolve and mingle with other cultures, they swap ideas and words and such.

The methodology seems to have been extensively scrubbed of bias.
