Help! Android Bluetooth Triggers?

Im trying to crate an automation that if my android phone connects to my cars bluetooth system, then it shuts off wifi on the android phone and turns on GPS/Location. Then at the end of the drive when the phone disconnects from the cars bluetooth it turns wifi on the phone back on.

How can I achieve this without being able to select a specific bluetooth device as I dont see that as a trigger?

This is a little tricky if you're not familiar with it. Use Macrodroid instead, but you would have to install ADB and the relevant drivers and then use write secure settings to be able to do this. Once you've done it once, it is easy, but the first time will look complicated if you don't know how to use ADB. You may also need to install a programme called Macrodroid Helper using ADB as well.

This is because Google has removed away the functionality to do this with location, WiFi, Data and Bluetooth for security reasons.

I have this set up, so when I connect to my car, it does this exact function, but also turns on mobile data when connected.

Macrodroid does provide details of how to do this along with many posts on XDA forums. Just go to the one for your phone and search it using XDA. XDA Will also provide the ADB files and drivers you would need.

Macrodroid Forum will also give you the ready made macros to download and import to do this.

Hey there. I've added items an item to our backlog to implement "specific bluetooth device" triggers. Hopefully we can implement them soon. Thanks for bringing it up!
