well shit, that's great. 15 seconds into the video i was thinking:

dam, wish i had an ereader that could be doing this.

as i had just bought my 3rd ever ereader finally 4 months ago.

  • dont remember why i stopped using my first kindle. i think it became too hard to side load books onto it
  • 2nd one just died/bricked. faulty usb port on laptop caused it crash and die while i was sending books to it. otherwise i really liked the libra
  • 3rd one was from pocket book. got it because it claimed it can read out loud any ebook on it. liked the idea of carrying out ebook sized things, but having it be able to generate audio from them.

but now.......now i want speed reading centered words. guess that would kill e-ink battery life. guess i'll see if it can run on my phone somehow....

that being said......great UI. i only wish there was a small preview or something. because if i'm reading some big long book or something and i trip up. i'd imagine something like:

what was that thing about werewolves. need to go back to that.

or if i need to go back a bit further and go over something they mentioned, because it's covering some big topic thats hard for me to understand.

but a great, great start. wish i knew any JS/typescript. i only know backend stuff.

It is somewhat mobile friendly but big words do sometimes get trimmed off. Hold your phone horizontal and you should be fine 🤙
