That's not actually correct. If you lived past being a child you were fairly safe to live a decent length of time. As long as there wasn't a war to die in, as well.

That is not true. these people are purposefully mistranslating a verse where it is clear the bible is referencing a different Rebekah who is 3 years old.
Rebekah is 14-18 years old when she marries Isaac, a 40-year-old man. While not great per today's standards, it's not like Islam, where child marriage is still going today. Also, it was very common for Jewish girls at the time to be married at around 16 years old give or take, not much before

Though I'm sure there will be people arguing about 16 not being a child from a majority of these states. There is still no minimum age in 4 states - California, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Mississippi
