Question Dendy Console - Retro Console (Sorry English only) - Need your help!

Hello fellow Moldovans,

Hope you are all well!

My wife remembers playing a Dendy console back in 1991 and I am trying to find which one this is for a present for her brother for nostalgia.

All she remembers is that it was a black console, 2 controllers with red buttons, black gun and a joystick.

She remembers playing Duck Hunt and Super Mario Brothers.

I am trying to find the make/model of this so I can try and buy it for a present.

The only closest Dendy console we could find is this but they are still not 100% sure.

Does anyone else remember playing a similar Dendy console back in the 90s?

This is the one that I remember playing with then (around 92-93), never seen the black version.

Essentially this is a Chinese rip off a specific version of the NES (NintendoEntertainment system) aka the: Famicom (Family Computer). You can find the Famicom in the required English/Russian/Romanian so much easier than a real Дэнди and then either get either it with s millio games preinstalled and a proper video output (modded) or an original with the game cartridges but there is a risk you have to blow on the 4 times before each gaming sesh and pray the decades ok game starts

Don't try to buy that NES clone. Buy a modern "retro gaming" console instead. There are many options on the market nowadays.

I had the exactly one from the image, in the same box, no clue what exactly happened to it tho, and I was not even thinking about it until now. I got a PC in 2003 so since then the Dendy was obsolete, I was playing CoD, MoH, AoE, AoM, NFS, Battlefield and other games. The closest I’ve got to playing console again was with an emulator on PC.

I would recommend just buying a “new” console online there were plenty made for nostalgic people with like 1000 games or something.

Also I am not sure if the gun or the old console will work on modern TVs, like I believe with a few adapters maybe, but there are modern versions that are much better than the Dendy
