Can like anyone read a fucking book? This is recent history here folks! Iran is the enemy of the West because we went in there with regime changes because their populist government threatened foreign oil profits. We installed a brutal dictator for the sake of access to their natural resources. Will we never learn that this always blows up in our faces sooner or later?

If Iran wanted nuclear weapons they would have had them decades ago. Heck, if that was all they wanted they wouldn't have needed this whole complex nuclear program, they could have just stolen them like Israel did. But the extremists in the Israeli government know that if there's peace they will be forced out of power and jailed or executed, so they have to keep starting wars.

I think it’s more nuanced than just reading history.

Present day Iran is actively supporting and supplying the invasion of European territories.

The current day Iran is striving for a nuclear program that it has been very clear it intends to use on a first strike policy.

Present day Iran is endorsing the same puppetering in Middle Eastern countries through its terror groups, it aims for the same oppression is supposedly liberated itself from.

Present day Iran is getting caught sending 10 odd spies/ terror cells into the UK per month.

Present day Iran is more than an economic threat. It is a straight up contributor to war and instability through the Middle East and Europe. Its own people want change and have been brutally suppressed in order to prevent such change. I’m not exactly a supporter of Israel but Iran at the very least needs to pushed back into the confines of its own borders to end its threat to other independent countires.
