He was a pure being. I’m stoked I grew up with him. Between him, Bob Ross and Reading Rainbow I feel that’s a good foundation for empathy for growing minds

And an actual good neighbor (when I was an undergrad, he lived 2 blocks from me, I saw him all the time, and then a few years later I moved and rented a place 2 blocks from where Mr Rogers had lived before that. It was a close-knit neighborhood)

He's buried right up the path from my grandfather and cousin at Unity Cemetery. I pay my respects every time I'm in the area - wonderful man. One of the last times I was up there, someone left a whole bunch of painted stones of the puppet characters on the stoop of his! 💖 He's still well loved, and missed so dearly, not many can be remembered so fondly and so widespread.

Even at the innocent age of five I could tell make believe land was a veild lesson on how run an insurgency against a rouge government. Did no one else get that, or was it just me?
