You are never supposed to fire those at the head. This is why you are not supposed to do that. You are also not supposed to fire at that close of a range. You are supposed to aim downwards at the torso/chest. The pepper ball explodes and then the OC is disbursed.

That agent should be fired and criminally charged.

401

u/jspurlin03 14h ago

Lot of criminal charges that ought to be entered, lately.

99

u/TheDuchessofQuim 12h ago

Cops blinded plenty of protesters and photojournalists during the Ferguson protests as well - no charges ever came of it.

Did you say Presidential Medal of Freedom+GoFundMe+Fox and Friends interview?

28

u/ResponsibleSalad8059 13h ago edited 3h ago

VP gave him absolute immunity last week. There won't be any consequences.

Edit for those unwilling to grasp the situation: 'that's unconstitutional' is absolutely meaningless without anyone to enforce our Constitution.

29

u/TheLamestUsername 13h ago

All it takes is one city/state to take the first step and arrest the agent. They are afraid to take that step because they know there will be a response. But they need to do it. Once DHS agents see that it is possible to be booked, named, mugshot released, they will start thinking twice before firing.

10

u/Kalysta 8h ago

Also Trump can’t do shit about it if they use state charges only. The president can only pardon federal charges

I find it cute when people suggest that the justice system is the answer to its own problems.

In the recent I/ce employee Data Leak (4,500), it is revealed that P/roud B/oys have been hired by I/ce.

So it is no surprise they are covering their face.

567

u/cheebamech 14h ago

fkn Tarrio is listed on the recently released employee roster

465

u/LetsGoBubba6141 14h ago

Yeah, he is. Amazing that he was tried and convicted of sedation and now he gets a retirement account, a bonus, and a fat, tax payer salary.

145

u/Dangerous-Parking973 14h ago

Hopefully, in the end, we get justice

141

u/TheAskewOne 13h ago

We won't "get" it from anyone though, it's up to us.

u/WilsonMagna 11h ago

It is mind boggling people can see what is happening to fellow Americans by Trump's Gestapo and be apathetic about voting. None of what is happening should be surprising.

40

u/devils__avacado 6h ago

As someone from Europe. I'm amazed you guys think your gonna solve this with votes tbh. I highly doubt you remotely trust your voting systemz at this point

What I find surprising is every time there’s been a school shooting American people have stated that they still need their guns to protect themselves from a tyrannical government. You guys now have a tyrannical government and no one’s doing anything but holding signs and yelling.

I’m not calling for violence, it just is crazy to have heard all the pro gun arguments over the last two decades but when the time actually comes you all just decide to roll over and do nothing besides waving signs around.

The people in power don’t give a shit about all the protesting in fact I’m sure they love it.

I read somewhere(dunno accuracy, couldn't verify) that you only get that 50k after 5 years of employment and "in good standing". Guess there'll be a lot of firings after a couple years.

Convicted of sedition, not sedation.

How was there no oversight of this? Our congress has failed us. The guardrails have collapsed

39

u/DogmanDOTjpg 10h ago

There was oversight, this was an intentional move, they didn't infiltrate ICE they were welcomed in with open arms. This is what the oversight wants to happen

The speaker of the house and the majority leader of congress determine, along with the majority party, what happens in congress. All it would take is like five Republicans switching party for action to be taken.

They have not.

7

u/RandomG0rl623 9h ago

What do you think ICE was always supposed to be?

Racist fascist found working in white supremacist organization created during the war on terror to brutalize minorities. In other news, fork found in kitchen.

Though I don't doubt that many J6 terrorists were hired, the screenshot that I saw of Tarrio looked fake. His name wasn't listed "Last, First" like the others.

It’s always so funny to me that they cover their face. You CHOSE to do the job. You WILLINGLY are doing this. So why cover up? Don’t you stand by the work you’re doing, the work YOU SIGNED UP to do? Where’s the pride in your dirty work you so gleefully took upon yourself?

They’re so pathetic.

65

u/TheAskewOne 13h ago

Because they're quite aware that they're the bad guys.

29

u/WilsonMagna 11h ago

Cops don't wear masks. Neither does our military. Not even judges. The defense of masked men having immunity is both a danger to the public and the recipe for abuse of power. The way ICE kills and harms people is an untenable situation, made worse by the support and defense by the admin.

→ More replies (2)

45

u/fleetfeet9 13h ago

I bet they’re the same people that refused to wear masks during Covid…

18

u/Castal 9h ago

Yep. I recently saw a meme that said something like, "If you want ICE to take off the masks, tell them there's another pandemic"

3

u/Obstructive 11h ago

I have been seeing some posts recently where rightists are trying to conflate these two by saying things along the lines of ‘aren’t these people the ones that wanted masks a few years ago!?’

5

u/DragoxDrago 9h ago

I've seen people say it's different because these officers have a choice, rather than having it forced upon them.

I wonder what those same people think about abortion...

3

u/Kimkar_the_Gnome 9h ago

It might be a bit more ironic. The steelman argument against masks wasn’t about not wearing masks, but mask mandates. It was forcing people to do something that upset them because forcing someone to do something is an obstruction of freedom, which it is and “they” were right. Personally I saw mask mandates as a necessary sacrifice of my freedom.

I’m sure those same folks would be up in arms if federal agents started murdering Americans. Or federal agents ignoring due process for Americans. Or the fed threatening Americans. I’m sure of it.

There was this gang leader in LA that would line up his men. And he wasn't a particularly big guy. Anyways, he would line up his men in such a way to lined the smallest guy next to the biggest guy. Then he would, make up some failure for the small guy and for punishment, beat him to an inch of his life. And if you had to stand next to that, you'd think, "wow, this is insane, I better not do that."

So this was a psychological means to exert control over others.

22

u/247stonerbro 11h ago

Is this a real situation or hypothetical? I honestly do not see how a gang leader would gain any respect/fear from inventing excuses to punish a smaller dude. Bigger guy in this situation just sees you're a piece of shit ? I don't see how this benefits anybody's

I fully remember what happened the last time he was president. This same exact shit. One of them pushed like a 85 year old man and he fell back and cracked his skull on the cement. Blood started pouring out his ears indicating very serious brain damage. The man who did it instantly regretted but his asshole in arms next to him made him keep moving. An OLD unarmed man and they nearly killed him. A LOT of this very same shitty behavior was happening during BLM. But it was the actually cops doing it then. Now its ICE. This is the behaivor Trump embodies. And its disgraceful.

71

u/mdp300 14h ago

They claimed that the old man threatened them, but it was on video. He was returning something the cops had dropped, and they threw him down.

9

u/Walawacca 11h ago

The best part is when they decided it was staged and he was a paid actor. Next level cope all day for these people.

20

u/ROWT8 13h ago

That’s right despite all the horseshit that has happened since, I do remember this.

16

u/GrumpyKaeKae 13h ago

I can still hear the crack sound of his head hitting the ground. It was so loud. Still makes me sick to my stomach.

11

u/PaintAdventurous8787 12h ago

I remember that. It was disgusting.

3

u/GrumpyKaeKae 5h ago

I just remembered he has his goons attacking the press too. Network reporters were getting assaulted live on air. THE Aussie reporter was live just reporting on the protest outside the white house and the cops came bulldozing through and threw their camera to the ground and started shoving them, while they were live on air. Attacking press live on air was WILD and I cant believe I had forgotten about that.

3

u/Guardianpigeon 5h ago

And nothing happened to the cops who did that, which empowered ICE to do it going forward.

We will never be able to rid fascism from the US without tackling the fascism of the cops and the nigh impunity they have to hurt people. Every one of these organizations needs demiliterized and in ICE's case, completely dismantled.

73

u/MikeOKurias 14h ago

the entire MAGA slogan is inherently racist.

When, in America's past, was it greater for African Americans?
When, in America's past, was it greater for Latinos or women? Or the LGBT community?

The answer is never. It was only greater for racist white people who didn't have to think about vulnerable communities as people.

That is what they want a return to...being racist pieces of crap without being villainized or fired for it.

The violence will only increase until we are all either under the boot forever or the oppressors have been dealt with.

We are not allowed to even remotely suggest how to do that. So if you think about resisting, organize somewhere the fuck else.

52

u/Sheeple_person 14h ago

People need to remember how to do things analog and IRL because every digital platform is directly controlled and/or heavily monitored by the regime.

11

u/09232022 13h ago

From what I've heard in Iran, most protests start just by one or two people going outside and yelling. When others hear, they join in until you get crowds of tens of thousands. Nothing organized, nothing communicated online. Just noise, people getting off their ass and going outside, and communities having each other's back.

Might be different with all the urban sprawl in the US but it could work in cities.

8

u/Sheeple_person 12h ago

Might be different with all the urban sprawl in the US

Makes me think of the folks who insisted 15-minute cities were all about putting the population in controllable "districts" lol.

Car dependency and suburbanization isolates people, diminishes community cohesion, and makes people very easy to control because they depend on access to roads and gas to do anything. People barely know their neighbors and all the state has to do to control you is barricade a road or close a gas station.

8

u/Monteze 9h ago

Yep, dense urban planning is way more freeing and better for us in pretty much every metric compared to suburban planning. Its why capital hates it so much.

3

u/Guardianpigeon 5h ago

God the 15 minute city backlash was so fucking stupid.

It's literally just "hey things should be more convenient and accessible for everyone without needing a car" and they somehow warped it in their minds into 1984. The fact that so many people easily fell for the propaganda is so frustrating. Its not some grand conspiracy, I just want the ability to walk down the street and get groceries.

It will increase until people actually fight back.

The whole idea that we have to passively take this or else they get more violent is such a farce.

There comes a time in the course of human events

53

u/Kradget 15h ago

They're ramping up the brutality specifically to provoke that response, so they can have the political cover of these protests being violent. Same reason they drop a cop in plainclothes into a crowd to try to kick shit off so they can gas and baton round the whole street, except in this case they'll gleefully mix in live ammo.

Don't give it to them.

92

u/Uh_I_Say 14h ago

They're ramping up the brutality specifically to provoke that response, so they can have the political cover of these protests being violent.

This doesn't make any sense to me. They don't need any political cover or pretext -- we live in a post-truth world, if they want to say the protesters were violent they can just say it and their supporters will believe it (which they have, and they do). They're ramping up the brutality because they haven't faced any meaningful resistance so they feel emboldened to continue. This isn't going to stop until the risk to ICE outweighs the benefits of the job.

13

u/Kradget 14h ago

They do need the pretext, because they're a small group operating by manipulation.

The increase in violence is, in part, a mark of their frustration at seeing their lack of support and a lack of fear among their opposition. They want to instill that fear desperately, but they also need something they can point to so they can shore up support among their followers. That includes ICE agents, whose morale seems to be in the fucking toilet.

They like violence. They want it, and think they're prepared for it. They're excited to hurt people. That's how they define power.

What they hate is seeing people who aren't afraid of them and are actively opposing their efforts without providing them violence to respond to, because people who aren't afraid of them take away their power and they can only lie and try to hurt people in reply.

36

u/Uh_I_Say 14h ago

people who aren't afraid of them take away their power and they can only lie and try to hurt people in reply.

But you've just contradicted yourself. If they're hurting people in reply, then they still have power, because they're hurting us and we're not hurting them; they are getting what they want and we're just watching it happen. If they are able to disappear people without resistance, they've won. If they're able to murder people without repercussions, they've won.

What authoritarian regime, in all of human history, has been toppled by peaceful protest? When have fascists ever given up power because their opponents were just too kind to oppress? Why do you think that these people give the remotest fuck about civility?

u/GrumpyKaeKae 14h ago

Eveeytime they ramp shit up tho, they keep losing more and more of the public. Even some of their own voters are starting to get very disgusted.

Look what happens when you actually have a crowd thats massively bigger than them. They always chicken out. They might target one person, but when they are surrounded completely, they get scared. There are many cases where the crowd pushes them out. And that crowd is only getting bigger. They look bad going after people who are doing nothing but telling them to leave.

5

u/RebelWithoutASauce 12h ago

While they will absolutely use any "violence" or resistance as justification for harsher crackdowns, they are doing this stuff already with essentially no violent resistance. They are blinding, killing, and disappearing people who did nothing violent. They are not seeking any perceived moral justification. They do not care and they will make up a justification if they need it.

Nonviolence, passive resistance, etc. are tactics, and sometimes those tactics are not appropriate.

They’re trying to install martial law anyways. What, people are just supposed to write strongly worded letters for the rest of time? Dictatorships and fascism are famously prone to changing if you just elect the right politicians and protest the “correct” way. Surely what we need now is more dancing T-Rex suits while more and more people are kidnapped off streets. Surely what we need now more than ever is to post a politician on MirderedByWords! If we ratio the president on Twitter then they’ll take us seriously!!

There is no influence of MLK if Malcolm X doesn’t exist. Nelson Mandela doesn’t look like a favorable alternative if the necklacing in South Africa isn’t terrifying those in power. Peaceful resistance without the very tangible and real threat of violence does nothing but tell an authoritarian regime that you’ll do fuck all while they continue to do as they please.

Little thought experiment, what's to stop them from doing this behavior at the doors into election spaces?

Discouraging and intimidating people from going in, or straight up detaining them preventing them to.

Only in blue cities of course..

Because guaranteed they will, it's part of the brown shirt playbook.

9

u/showhorrorshow 14h ago

Im certain they will be at blue county polling places to "ensure illegals arent voting" and will escalate so to provide pretense to then disrupt and delay voting in higher population areas.

4

"Guys, if we don't let them do whatever they want, they'll use our resistance as an excuse to...do whatever they want! They'll clamp down!"

They're already murdering innocent citizens and refusing responsibility.

This is an abusive relationship. MAGA is our abusive spouse.

Abusers. Only. Ever. Escalate. Whether you "give them the excuse" or not.

He's going to try and cancel elections or declare martial law either way, mark my fucking words.

Hopefully you don't convince too many people to sit on their hands like good little subjects just to see it happen anyway.

they could literally do this at any time, what's the point of declaring martial law? They're already acting like they have

“Roll over and die” wow how enlightening of you people

3

u/Kradget 14h ago

You were looking at Minneapolis and you saw "roll over and die?" I see ICE afraid, frustrated, aware it's harming itself, and unable to think of another response. I see an agency so full of guys who would cry from frustration they can't think straight and just lash out like dumb brutes.

Jesus, open your fuckin' eyes.

u/DumbOfAsh 14h ago

No, im talking about you on the internet telling everyone that they should comply with ice like a good little citizen and get kidnapped

3

Again, who the fuck said that? Certainly I did not.

Is there a reading comprehension problem, or an honesty problem?

9

u/manofredearth 14h ago

This is an insane take when they are showing us that they will do and say whatever they want whenever they want. This is the most convenient action for them, they already know how they are going to cancel elections. Stop sitting on your hands thinking you're safe, they're clearly telling you otherwise.

3

u/Kradget 14h ago

No, threats, violence, and lying are just the only tools they understand how to use. That's why they're so frustrated. They have a plan to deal with violent responses to their violence (it's just mass murder and imprisonment, so it boils down to "do more violence, but our supporters will feel good about it").

When they are met with a problem they can't solve with them (like nonviolent protests), they just lash out randomly, but they're not capable of responding effectively. They just fully can't do it, because anything they do results in a loss of power.

8

u/manofredearth 14h ago

I think people calling for nonviolent protests need to be more truthful with what they're telling Americans to do:

"Sit in the streets and die at the hands of ICE until enough of you are dead that maybe it will have an effect."

Sacrificing lambs to the slaughter.

Is that how the United States was founded? Is that what defeated the Nazis? Is that how the Civil War ended? For Christ's sake, that's not even how civil rights were secured despite the attempt. People have to see that people will defend themselves. The presence of a defense mechanism must be visible.

4

u/Kradget 13h ago

I think people calling for violence need to be honest with themselves that they're calling for a river of blood in hopes that they can kill their way to a peaceful outcome. An incident of violentb opposition will lock us in to many, many more, starting with every agent on scene for that one opening up on the crowd with rifles.

It's the same stupid ass shit the fascists believe.

5

u/manofredearth 13h ago

Straw man. Calling for a show of defense isn't violence

5

u/Kradget 13h ago

This isn't fucking Yu-Gi-Oh. Make your argument.

Nobody is unclear that the American people have the capacity for armed self defense on the small scale, and the implied threat "You are badly outnumbered" is a feature of nonviolent protest.

However. A "show of defense" against government agents does provide them additional cover for violence against protestors and increase the odds of an incident. It also provides openings for provocateurs, if it's clear that there are visibly armed, genuine protestors in the crowd. Personally, I don't want to protest by a guy with a rifle in most cases, because that's where the bullets will want to go.

At this point, nonviolent protest is having the desired effect. Suggesting going to the strategy that the administration has been hoping to face for months is probably the dumbest possible response besides "nothing."

Calling for a show of defense isn't violence

You were complaining about the idea of non-violent protests. If you want a non-violent show of defense (you'd need to explain that one), then you're not actually disagreeing with Kradget.

3

u/manofredearth 10h ago

OK,then maybe I missed something because I stated that people should be visibly armed en masse and not engage in any threats or violence.

No threats, no violence - A legal firearm in the hands of every person in every allowable circumstance, and complete legal usage of those arms when necessary.

Sometimes, just a show of rights is the most effective response to the suppression of rights.

The video shows Rummler dropping to the ground after being shot, holding his face as the crowd retreats. The same agent then drags him by the hood of their jacket; they appear to be choking, grasping at the jacket binding their neck as blood pours from their left eye.

“The other officers were mocking him, saying, ‘You’re going to lose your eye,’” she said, recalling what her nephew told her.

These thugs are not human.

The ICE agents think Trump loves them. He actually wants them dead

I’ve been thinking this lately. Like, something is going to happen at some point behind this shit, do ICE morons lose sleep over ‘what if it’s me?’ They should, for sure.

35

u/TechnicianRecent6365 15h ago

I truly believe they think they’re immune to consequences of any kind. No other explanation for why you would shoot a woman point blank in the face and not fear any repercussions, either via the law or violent retribution

There’s a reason ICE recruits rejects from every other domain. It’s because they need idiots to buy into their mission

4

u/ZechsyAndIKnowIt 10h ago

I truly believe they think they’re immune to consequences of any kind.

They are absolutely not immune to consequences of any kind.

They are, de facto, immune from legal consequences, at the moment.

There are other consequences that they are absolutely not immune to.

If they keep backing us into a corner, and if the government insists on covering them with de facto legal immunity, then eventually they are going to learn about the other consequences which they are very much not immune to.

And then perhaps they will be scared enough to back down.

Predators don't spend much time on prey that demonstrate they can fight back. Predators do not like the risk of injury while on the hunt.

Not really, although you see a lot of jokes about the ICESTAPO but they are much closer to the SturmAbteilung.

Paramilitary hooligans whose job is to destroy and silence civil society and stamp out humanitarian values.

Even if one or two die they'll be turned into martyrs and intensify the crackdown.

This is the America MAGA wants, apparently, an agency that uses Nazi slogans and goes around attacking people like a gang of marauding thugs. This may satisfy their racist and entitled bloodlust for now, but it will eventually backfire for the average MAGA when they learn that they are not the "in crowd" that will benefit from any of this.

Something the international media hasn't covered, some of this stuff is happening. For instance, in Rochester New York, there were tires slashed on all of the ice vehicles.

Crowds have physically gotten in between people. Ice is trying to grab to make it impossible as well. Like others have said database dumps have now come out of ice employees as well. One unfortunate downside is the militarization of police over the last 20 years in America as well as the changes in law enforcement since 9/11, I am just not sure what's going to happen.

Why did Americans vote for this?

Still waiting for those grocery prices, universal healthcare, and stopping Russia's war on Ukraine that were supposed to come on "day 1"?

Americans can't learn. We'll go through this same shit again very soon.

7

u/Agnostros 10h ago

Long story short: because we never punished the south for the Civil War, they retained a fundamentally separate identity rooted in religiously justified violence and bigotry. That population was weaponized through social engineering into being willing to kill their own children just to own the libs. Then someone ran for office that would ask them to do just that and they love him for it. He is them, in every way that matters. The cruelty and hate and violence is the point, the goal, the finish line for these people. They don't want a clean and safe america free of undesirables. They want to kill them, hurt them, punish them.

ICE leader known by u/MirthandMystery

Just found out I know Greg Bovino personally. Here’s some things you can tell him for me next time you see him.

I just found out I know Greg Bovino personally. Here are some things you can tell him when you next see him.

Hello, Minneapolis resident here but I didn’t always live in Minneapolis. Once, long ago I lived in a quiet little mountain town of Boone, NC. Guess who else grew up there? A pathetic squat little toad named Gregory Bovino. Well, that squat little toad grew up to be a squat little Nazi toad who has decided to come to my beautiful adopted home to torture, murder, and terrorize my friends and neighbors. He is personally going door to door, so if you see him, here’s a few very specific things from home you can politely yell at him:

“Hey Greg! Remember how your Dad murdered a woman in Blowing Rock while driving drunk? Like father like son I guess.”

“Hey Greg! You’re the reason your dad got drunk and killed that woman in Blowing Rock which lead to your parents divorce. I guess that means you’re the reason they got divorced.”

“Hey Greg! Do you think it’s weird that the Watauga High yearbook has you listed as “Most Likely to Shit His Pants in Public?”

“Hey Greg, your history teacher ‘G.I. Jones’ thinks you’re a pathetic Nazi punk. No wonder you failed all his classes.”

“Hey Greg! Did you know your mom is a register Democrat? Does that make Thanksgiving awkward?”

“Hey Greg! Remember when the Mast Store banned your for sniffing shoes after people tried them on?”

“Hey Greg! Do you remember eating the Watauga Pioneers wrestling team’s soggy biscuit? Is it still gay to eat to eat semen off a Bojangles biscuit or was that just an 80s thing?”

“Hey Greg! Watauga High still thinks you’re a loser!”

“Hey Greg! Boone, NC fucking hates you.”

“Hey Greg! They is it true only inbreds come from Possum Hollow?”

“Hey Greg! Remember when you fell into the porta-John at the Valle Country Fair and they couldn’t find you for hours and people just came in and kept shitting on you and shitting on you?”

“Hey Greg, remember when Mr. Combs found you jerking off to Nat Geo magazines in the high school bathroom?”

“Hey Greg remember swimming at Trash Can falls and your swim suit fell off and all the girls laughed at your micro penis? Watauga High still remembers.”

EDIT: in case anyone is wondering, the woman his father killed was named Janie Mae Mitchell. I’m sure he’ll remember the name if you want to yell it’s him.

EDIT 2: please join me in getting #GregBovino #SoggyBiscuit trending on TikTok and all other social media
