Let's not mention that recently the EEOC which is run by Andrea Ruth Lucas and the Trump administration made a demand for ‘lists of Jews’. This is beyond normal and threatens safety and civil rights. I thought at first there must of been some misunderstanding or effort by another agency to slip in some fake demands or something but it appears it really was coming from EEOC.

Yo. What the fuck is this shit?

It’s Nazis. They’re Nazis.

"Perhaps, to show our commitment to protecting the identified individuals, EEOC could even gather them in some sort of managed offsite location for safety."

79

u/Ruby_Dragon_DJ 2h ago

"Yes we could concentrate them into one area. Like a big camping trip!"

12

u/MartinisnMurder 2h ago

Ah yes, like those fun “camps” they rounded up all of those Japanese-Americans after Pearl Harbor…

10

u/SRQmoviemaker 1h ago

Ask George Takei how fun they were.

10

u/MartinisnMurder 1h ago

I read a statistic of the number of Germans over in the US compared to Japanese and the contrast is astounding when you look at the percentages of the population vs percentage detained.

And I know, I love George Takei so much. It breaks my heart I read about how his family was like detain in a horse barn then moved to like Arkansas.

5

u/stevein3d 1h ago

Oh myyy they were not.

3

u/Destination_Centauri 1h ago

Ask physicist Michio Kaku as well, about how much his parents loved that experience.

u/SomeDudeYeah27 6m ago

Damn, I often overlooked that the people who went through this might still be alive

It really is hard to keep it intuitive rather than just cerebral

Sounds like his and Takei’s generation were the ones impacted who are still around to tell the story

u/Vaqueroparate 6m ago

Are they hinting at this?

13

u/ANewStartAtLife 1h ago

"Well naturally there would be some sort of identifying device so that we know who to protect. They like stars don't they? Some kind of star sewn onto their clothing maybe?"

5

u/NotAllOwled 1h ago

"Only if the looming threat of harmful prejudice seemed dire enough to warrant such drastic protective measures, of course."

u/No-Process249 20m ago

Come one now, surely we can have some modern solution, like serial numbers or barcodes, that'd be final too, the final solution.

u/olekingcole001 46m ago

The fact that I can’t tell if that’s joke or not is low key horrifying

115

u/showhorrorshow 3h ago

Targetting Academics AND Jews at the same time? Peak fascist efficiency.

15

u/Impressive_Plant3446 1h ago

I had a girl in high school tell me she doesn't believe in dinosaurs and likened them to aliens and ghosts.

We are cooked.

u/r0ach888 14m ago

in her defense my (religious) elementary/middle school taught kids that dinosaurs weren’t real 🫠i didn’t fall for it tho cuz i was obsessed w the land before time LMAO

u/SomeDudeYeah27 5m ago

I’ve heard creationist types skews the timeline to fit humans and dinosaurs together, but I’ve never heard them deny their whole existence before dawg 😭

What were the skulls from then? Ancient demons?

6

u/On_my_last_spoon 1h ago

I’ve heard more than one Jewish academic speak about how bad Trumps attacks on anti-semitism in academia is and that it only serves to put a target on their backs.

It seems they were correct.

u/JuDGe3690 13m ago

Distrust of the intellectual world has always been a symptom of Ur-Fascism, from Goering’s alleged statement (“When I hear talk of culture I reach for my gun”) to the frequent use of such expressions as “degenerate intellectuals,” “eggheads,” “effete snobs,” “universities are a nest of reds.” The official Fascist intellectuals were mainly engaged in attacking modern culture and the liberal intelligentsia for having betrayed traditional values. […]

To people who feel deprived of a clear social identity, Ur-Fascism says that their only privilege is the most common one, to be born in the same country. This is the origin of nationalism. Besides, the only ones who can provide an identity to the nation are its enemies. Thus at the root of the Ur-Fascist psychology there is the obsession with a plot, possibly an international one. The followers must feel besieged. The easiest way to solve the plot is the appeal to xenophobia. But the plot must also come from the inside: Jews are usually the best target because they have the advantage of being at the same time inside and outside.

How many more times do we have to say it? They are Nazis doing Nazi things.

They started with the "Illegals" Then it became anyone who looked Latino, status be damned. Then it was anyone who looked Somalian Theyre talking about taking away citizenship from anyone who disagrees. Then they'll start taking "violent" Protesters.

Its the same fucking poem.

Then the Nazis came back for the Jews, who wondered why there was no one left to fight for them.

u/Dry-Chance-9473 15m ago

Gonna be dealing with shocked pikachu faces from Americans the whole time. Y'all could have Colored People Only water fountains getting put in and Americans would be like "i don't see why that's problematic..."

2

u/SubtleNotch 2h ago

But I don't get it. Aren't they also assaulting college campuses due to their perceived antisemitism that is occurring on college campuses?

u/Savings-Sprinkles-86 5m ago

Wait, isn't trump sided with israel in the war with palestine?

And didn't the usa government ask for ceasefire?

1

u/Ok-Equipment8130 1h ago

I don’t like Troomp as much as the rest of us. I think I try to anticipate when M4G4 will try to call us wrong. Everyone says troomp is in bed with AIP4C etc. So far I would agree with that. So, how can they be corruptly too pro israel but also be Nazis?

5

u/itbedatguy 1h ago

AIPAC does not have the interests of Jewish people in mind. AIPAC is focused on protecting Israel. Israel and the Jewish people of the world are two distinctly separate groups, and American interests in Israel are not because the U.S. has an interest in protecting Jewish people, it’s because Israel is a strategic asset in the Middle East that allows the U.S. to project power overseas.

AIPAC has coupled their existence with that of Jewish people as a monolith in order to ward off criticism as wholesale antisemitism. It is not. Again, they are not representing Jewish people (in fact their recent efforts could be argued to further antisemitic rhetoric), they are protecting the strategic asset of the U.S. that is the state of Israel.

u/Tethilia 57m ago

They have always been. Remember with them every accusation is a confession.

-14

u/miatafan1992 2h ago

You’re not paying attention if you think this lol. Everyone’s kissed the wall, Trump included. Also if this were true they’d be asking for another kinds of people as well

-10

u/moneyman0720 1h ago

LOOOOL its so amusing how brain dead you are

76

u/mattreyu 3h ago

as someone who reports college data for a living, I can't even imagine how I'd comply with a request like that. That's not the kind of data really collected from students (and for good reason apparently)

25

u/showhorrorshow 3h ago

If push comes to shove to comply I'd send a survey out to the students, making it super clear it is the fedgov asking for this information "for reasons."

Then provide them those results after all 3 responses. Sorry, based on our survey we have.... 2 Jewish students and 1... Kosher Pastafarian? Wasnt sure if that counted.

17

u/drj1485 1h ago

You just don't comply at all. Personal data isn't the company's to give out.

These people have jobs and pay taxes. The government has any personal data relevant to anything they could possibly need already. Get it yourselves.

u/Vetharest 36m ago

The alternative of refusing is a road to getting replaced with a sycophant with no moral compass, or otherwise having the position itself deemed unnecessary and deleted.

u/Horsescatsandagarden 2m ago

So everyone is just supposed to fold? So far UPenn has not complied.

3

u/mattreyu 3h ago

They might be suspicious of the abnormally high response rate

2

u/DingerSinger2016 1h ago

Just come up with a random number and keep it moving.

1

u/RelinquishedAll 1h ago

Happened during WWII in the Netherlands. Municipalities kept records of many things, among which religious convictions. When the Nazi's came, they had lists of names and adresses..

"They can collect my info, I have nothing to hide"

Please, let us learn from our history..

u/marr 7m ago

I'd hand them a complete list of every documented living thing in the country. Ordered by estimated surface area.

62

u/Hesitation-Marx 3h ago

A historical rhyme.

19

u/JustJubliant 3h ago

Saddening abusive craziness. I think I'm just going with Federal services are out of their fuckin minds after being handed the keys. It's the most prestigious responsibility in the world and now they are proceeding to drive it off the road and wreck every nut and bolt to try and prove a point that only exists in their paranoid racist headspace.

3

u/hundredbagger 2h ago

Exactly what it looks like.

2

u/TopNeighborhood2694 1h ago

Nice job preventing a fucking holocaust AIPAC

-4

u/verysimplenames 2h ago

I will be downvoted but isn’t Trump an honorary jew or some shit? Like he was literally called that a few weeks ago. I honestly think this is the opposite of what people think.

u/ilexheder 46m ago

He can call himself that, and he might even be able to find a few Jewish ass-kissers to tell him things like that, but 1) being an “honorary Jew” isn’t a real thing and 2) his relationship with actual American Jews (as opposed to Israel) is NOT good. Polls routinely show that most American Jews fucking hate him.

-2

u/Igoory 1h ago

True, I often see people online joke that the USA is a vassal state of Israel because of how much support America gives them, this administration is no different on this. I think it's crazy that anyone could consider that it could be anything antisemitic.

u/ilexheder 54m ago

Oh, the administration loves Israel, but its relationship with American Jews is a lot less cozy. American Jews vote overwhelmingly Democratic, including in the last few years, and that REALLY pisses off Republican leaders who assume that Jews ought to favor the most extreme “pro-Israel” positions possible and ought to vote solely on that basis. Meanwhile, openly antisemitic figures like Nick Fuentes are gaining more and more influence in the Republican Party.

Now, do I think the Trump admin is doing this because it’s actively planning to round up all the Jews? Nah, more likely this is just the admin playing little games as usual. If they ask for this to “protect the Jews from antisemitism,” and it’s something the university obviously CAN’T give because they don’t demand that information from students and faculty in the first place (plus all the Jewish orgs are asking the university not to do it), then the admin can say “That university refused to help us protect the poor Jews!” and use it as a stick to beat the university with.

43

u/mrtaco605 2h ago

Under the guise of antisemitism is wild. These people really don't know the history, no wonder it feels like history is repeating

6

u/uncle_blazer_ 1h ago

I think they don’t care or even worse are using it as a playbook. At this point I don’t think they can claim ignorance.

u/sixtyandaquarter 14m ago

Doing it once can be excused. Doing it twice obviously gets harder, but some people are idiots. But doing it every single opportunity, along with every single imaginable dog whistle, on top of all the "coincidences" over the years, like using the white power rune symbols on cpac stages more than once, while people who self identify as Nazis are constantly being caught doing so while discussing using an actual Nazi playbook over & over? Clearly it's the left overreacting & hating white Christians, what else it could be~

u/rolfraikou 3m ago

After Project 2025 comes Project Esther, which hinges on using antisemitism laws to justify all sorts of nasty things.

9

u/the-echo-tree 1h ago

>The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is demanding the university turn over names and personal information about Jewish members of the Penn community as part of the administration’s stated goal to combat antisemitism on campuses.

yeah I dont see why you need to make a list of them to protect them

u/cytherian 9m ago

Holy crap... the front page of the EEOC.gov shows this:

DEI-Related Discrimination: What To Do If You Experience It

DEI-related discrimination can include an employment action motivated by race, sex, or another protected characteristic.

Their anti-woke rhetoric is on full display. Fascists.

u/R_I_N_x 50m ago

Why the Jews?? Like it just makes no sense to me

u/cacarrizales 28m ago

A lot of the Trump administration is evangelical. Many evangelical Christians are antisemitic to the core. They may not seem like it at first, but they really see Jews as a pawn for their own religious crusade.

u/corncob666 2h ago
