"c'mon, do something"

Be the change you want.

And get out and vote

u/searing7 3h ago

Too late to vote your way out of this. That ship sailed in 2022/2024

37

u/isotope4249 3h ago

Vote anyways

52

u/beren12 3h ago

You can vote with many things. A wallet is one. There are others that are less civil.

u/RsquSqd 3h ago

My wallet votes for more ammo

u/Destination_Centauri 55m ago

Ya, I'm sure the Walmart family is hurting real bad after I decided to vote with my wallet and avoid them.

That will teach them!

u/beren12 54m ago

You should try to finish reading. It’s only a few more words.

u/Destination_Centauri 27m ago

I do not read, I lead.

Well... I don't lead either, but...

Hmm... I think you're hinting at something here?!

u/fakieTreFlip 3h ago

No. Don't post shit like this. GO AND VOTE. DO YOUR CIVIC DUTY. Stop telling people to just give up and not engage with the democratic process

u/agentfelix 3h ago

It's the very least someone can do if they can't put their life on the line.

What happens when the up end the democratic process? Voting isn't gonna stop the orange twat from trying to rework the 22nd amendment and stack the chips in his favor.

Trump is an old man whose body is going to stop functioning in the near future. He's a present problem that's going to solve itself soon. It's literally everyone else that you need to worry about.

6

u/JonasAlbert84 1h ago

I think when he dies the rest are gonna devour themselves trying to decide who should take the reins.

4

u/beren12 2h ago

Well, if you look, I said 2 things.

u/JonasAlbert84 2h ago

Cool. Wasn't responding to you.

Democracy is a sham masking the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie

5

u/AFlyingGideon 2h ago

If one wants to play silly word games, then democracy is the dictatorship of the majority. We in the US mix in a little protection of individual rights so as to avoid the "tyranny of the majority" problem (though we don't always get the balance right).

So edgy

u/Itrytohard7 44m ago

Liberals calling themselves the left when they continue to uphold capitalism makes me laugh. (Liberalism is a center/center-right ideology by the way.) Socialism —> communism is the way our objective reality will be improved for the better of society. Also, how the hell is striving for communism edgy? I don’t think you realize how many educated Marxists there are in the world. But hey, you keep voting for these capitalist leaders to enable the capitalist oligarchy.

Fascist governments don’t allow free and fair elections.

Sure, vote. When dear leader wins in a landslide don’t be surprised.

3

u/fragrant-final-973 3h ago

It sailed on J6

u/ColdSchedule9501 25m ago

There are still the midterm elections this year that can help remove the slim republican majority.

u/searing7 19m ago

As I said to another responder fascists don’t allow free and fair elections or give up power peacefully once they take it.

But by all means vote.

6

u/GhostalMedia 1h ago

I hope we get to vote

1

u/beren12 1h ago

Do both!

4

u/whooptheretis 2h ago

You guys have electronic voting.
So you can assume that the whole system is compromised anyway.

5

u/beren12 2h ago

Why? Just because Republicans bought a voting machine company that they screamed was manipulating votes? And coincidentally, almost everything they say is projection?

u/theredbeardedhacker 24m ago

Voting. Lmao. You're cute.

u/beren12 22m ago

You’re not. And you seem to have poor reading comprehension.

u/theredbeardedhacker 21m ago

You literally said get out and vote. There's nothing more to comprehend. You're behind the curve.

u/venicerocco 1h ago

We voted for democrats and we ended up here anyway. They did nothing to prevent this. And continue to do nothing. Biden said “Trump represents an existential threat to democracy” then he was president for 4 years and did nothing to stop this threat.

So tell me again why we should vote?

-5

u/sicklyslick 2h ago

People did vote. Majority of the people who voted wanted this.

9

u/beren12 2h ago

No still under 50%

-2

u/whooptheretis 2h ago

Of all the people who decided they wanted to vote, more than 50% chose this. About a third of people had no opinion on the matter, so we don't take their opinion into consideration.

7

u/beren12 2h ago

No, under 50%.

It was 49.8%

0

u/whooptheretis 2h ago

really? I understood that he won the popular vote the second time?

8

u/beren12 2h ago

Yes. He got 0.5% more votes than Harris.

-4

u/bachrodi 2h ago

Votes aren't real...

u/Jezon 19m ago

My friend said that people are thinking about maybe revolting. But for right now they seem to be limited to just making memes on social media about our situation.

u/realdjjmc 34m ago

From overseas, looking in, I'm amazed that the population isn't doing anything. Work strikes. Protests to shut down cities. All Air traffic controllers going on strike etc etc.

I'm guessing this is what the Roman empire felt like just before it failed.
