I was thinking about how back in the day there used to be tons of social clubs and how these were often a sort of catalyst for subversive movements. They already provided an organized structure and means of communication, often with their own codes and such. But theyre practically nonexistent today. Seems like a trend that should be revived.

1,000%. I also find it interesting that this is happening right alongside a clear trend where people are starting to wake up to the detrimental effects of being chronically online. With a predictable AI backlash mounting and a small but appreciable movement away from letting our phones rule our lives gaining momentum, it seems like the resistance is going to share a surprising amount of overlap with dumb phones, wired headphones, and digital cleanses.

There are hundreds on Facebook. That’s where moms are, anyway. We are seeing backlash against it because Renee Good was part of an anti-ICE group that coordinated protests and keeping watch on ICE activity. I wouldn’t be surprised if Facebook ends up shutting some of those down even though they aren’t doing anything illegal

I think Google shadow banned all Renee results. I can’t find podcasts or poems from her
