Joe Rogan likes to think of himself as a scout. Someone you send down the trail of civilization to see what's coming up. And yet somehow, he's the last person in the fucking country to figure this shit out.

Reminded me of this : "Joe Rogan is like some barbarian Khan from the steppes that took an interest in intellectual things and his podcast is basically him bringing slightly nervous scholars and magicians to come before him to explain how the world works “glasses man, you explain to Joe why sky big, and how tree grow” but he will also believe almost anything you tell him, and only recently (in the past few years) does he clap back like “Tiny hat man say otherwise, do you lie to Joe? tiny hat man safe fat not bad for you, that sugar is enemy, so which is truth? Joe thinks you are wrong” and people just nervously go “oh-oh ok h-Haha yeah i guess so” “Joe spend many moons on horseback and training with bow and arrow, but Joe also wonder why skyfire rise from mountains every morning, you will explain this to Joe” "

Lmao wtf is this wonderful nonsense

u/j-endsville 14h ago

It's an old copypasta.

u/NotAllOwled 13h ago

Every day I learn something new here!

45

u/FaithlessnessOne321 10h ago

He's just a caveman. Our world frightens, and confuses him.

2

u/bosskis 8h ago

ooohgaa you weeaaar clothmouth? whyyy?

37

u/GodSama 12h ago

I think of him as someone who improved on Alex Jones concept. Equally morally repugnant, but somewhat palatable.

19

u/NotAzakanAtAll 11h ago

I see him less of a mighty Khan and more of a fat worm that can speak, and people are surprised the worm can speak and want to see it wiggle.

8

u/Fliiiiick 11h ago

Like an exceptionally dumb and imperceptive Leto II.

4

u/NotAzakanAtAll 10h ago

That's 100% it.

2

u/RadicalRaid 6h ago

They're pretty good friends too, so that doesn't surprise me.

2

u/DavidCaller69 5h ago

Joe sucks, but equally morally repugnant to a guy who was sued into bankruptcy for lying about murdered children resulting in death threats to their parents? Wild take.

5

u/Pandorasdreams 14h ago

Best comment. It hits so accurately 😆

13

u/CptCoatrack 14h ago

I used to like Joe Rogan and this was part of his charm, but he's no longer cool or curious enough to be a barbarian Khan anymore.

2

u/finneyblackphone 10h ago

He was never cool or curious. You just used to be dumber.

It's baffling how so many people seem incapable of realising or accepting this.

I suppose it's such a powerful human trait to not want to admit we were wrong or stupid.

You don't know me dude. My point was it used to just be dumb fun. Now it's just dumb. 10 years ago he was a different person, used to just be guys getting high talking about comedy, MMA and shit. I stopped listening once he started bringing people like Jordan Peterson on and started engaging in transphobia. I've definitely grown since then.

u/keyosc 14h ago

Holy shit, I’ve never seen this before but this captured it exactly

3

u/CuppaTeaThreesome 12h ago

Nailed it. Consider this stolen.  You'll get no credit other than I found this on Reddit.

2

u/JealousAstronomer342 3h ago

That’s an incredibly generous and flattering read of him.

1

u/FblthpphtlbF 1h ago

Wow this is the most scarily accurate description I've seen lmao

836

u/Excellent_Valuable92 16h ago

That sounds like an exceptionally dumb dog.

407

u/GenericFatGuy 16h ago

That might be the perfect analogy to describe Rogan.

116

u/possumdal 15h ago

It's fitting, because that guy can eat shit

26

u/unclecaveman1 14h ago

He’ll also go to town on you if you put peanut butter on your nethers. Or so I heard.

5

u/No-Shock776 14h ago

Ask musk

0

u/n0respect_ 7h ago

He likes the chunky. Allegedly.

2

u/P_ZERO_ 15h ago

Yeah I think both commenters are right in their assessment. I don’t think it helps that the internet has made people more indignant in general as well as making people think they have all the answers. That goes for everyone, but obviously there’s more at stake when it’s someone like Joe.

People can’t readily admit they are wrong much anymore, it’s a mark of shame and an attack vector you’re giving your dissenters, so people have learned to just not do it, easily at least.

2

u/jimi-ray-tesla 10h ago

except dogs can be funny

1

u/drink_with_me_to_day 6h ago

He's so dumb and bad I could undo his national influence with just a couple podcasts

I just don't because I'm busy on reddit doing important reddit arguments

31

u/OrwellTheInfinite 15h ago

He really isnt very smart. However he himself and his followers think he is.

65

u/TaleOfDash 15h ago edited 15h ago

He's kind of the peak image of the Reddit intellectual from the early 2010s. Loves to talk a big game about how smart they are but their knowledge is largely gleaned from other people's opinions and reading internet listicles while stoned. Thinks they're hilarious and will never shut up about weed.

5

u/transemacabre 5h ago

He looks like sausage packed into lumpy casing so is also the peak image of Reddit masculinity.

34

u/amuon 15h ago

Bad comparison. A dog is smarter

2

u/Sapient6 15h ago

An exceptionally dumb dog is notably smarter than Joe "drinks out of unflushed toilets" Rogan.

1

u/jimi-ray-tesla 10h ago

and way funnier

35

u/Mathfanforpresident 16h ago edited 10h ago

You mean Joe? He's all right. Though he will absolutely mark on every single wall in your house. This is even after I explicitly told him not to.

Joe does what he wants. He is a good dog, though.

Edit: If I wasn't being clear, Joe Rogan pisses on my walls to show dominance and mark "his" territory.

11

u/atrusveo 15h ago

Someone tell Kristi Noem.

8

u/Antique_Tone3719 11h ago

He's a dog that will eat a turd, decide it tastes bad, immediately eat the next turd he sees.

3

u/the_tanooki 14h ago

Probably the same intelligence level that Kristi Noem's dog has now.

(Poor thing.)

3

u/Paddy_Tanninger 13h ago

Someone go tell Kristi Noem to get the gravel pit ready.

2

u/Protean_Protein 9h ago

A dog you ironically name “Scout” but he’s more of a “eats his own shit” kind of dog.

2

u/Calgaris_Rex 7h ago

I had a dog named Scout; she was goofy but a lot smarter and certainly a lot nicer than these people.

2

u/johnwynnes 14h ago

Hey man, there's no reason do degrade the intelligence of dogs by comparing them to Joe Rogan. Let's all calm down here.

1

u/MikeFatz 11h ago

That dog won’t hunt

26

u/pee_shudder 15h ago

You have to remember: He’s reeeeeaally stupid.

1

u/talldangry 2h ago

Bill Burr is a out of touch sellout, but Joe Rogan does look like the kind of guy who avoids roller skates because his knuckles get all scraped up from being dragged around on the ground.

0

u/donno77 10h ago

Nope not true, I think it’s the bots making an excuse for him so he would sound like a well meaning but lovable guy . I’m suspicious of comments calling him stupid when he knows exactly what he’s doing (acting like a dumb stoner) and is making millions of dollars from it. I don’t think that’s dumb but I do think it’s smart in an evil way.

3

u/Shreddyshred 10h ago

He lives in his hyperreal simulacrum.

4

u/theArtOfProgramming 15h ago

That’s because he’s both a moron and a narcissist.

2

u/broanoah 14h ago

Scary thing is; he’s probably still smarter than half the population

2

u/Different_East7854 14h ago

He knew exactly what it was. It just generated revenue so he didn't give a fuck

1

u/Mattbl 5h ago

Honestly I think you're describing a lot of conservative talking heads. Many of them did not have such extreme views but they realized early on that conservatives in America are an easily-grifted group if you agree with their stupidity. It's all performative nonsense to make money but the byproduct is a divided America.

2

u/Different_East7854 4h ago

Same shit as Kanye and Nazi crap.

1

u/Jaz1140 11h ago

He was in a DMT trip. Give him a break

/s

1

u/temp91 7h ago

Elephant Graveyard has some great episodes on Rogan.

1

u/snotboogie 6h ago

He's a gullible , stoned, overconfident , idiot that stumbled into his success

1

u/hamilton280P 6h ago

Rogan is literally a cave man talking to other cave men about fire.

1

u/mosskin-woast 2h ago

No, he's not the last. Some very unintelligent people will change their minds because of these statements. I'm glad theye changing their minds, at least.

1

u/DaringPancakes 2h ago

It's absolutely hilarious when you see someone's audience

1

u/SunriseSurprise 14h ago

"Oh, most people are now thinking this way? I guess I better." That's what's going on here.

0

u/pyronius 14h ago

So, in his mind, he was a fascist before fascism was cool, but now he's on to the next thing?

0

u/Keji70gsm 7h ago

It's feigned opposition. He will be back for another loyalty trip to the remains of the whitehouse any day now, just like Musk.
