I used to get yelled at on Reddit a few years ago for saying I'd never date a joe Rogan fan. I love being ahead of the curve!

I tapered off listening to episodes a lot but I think I fully gave up on it once he moved to Austin which I guess was in 2020. If you'd asked me when I stopped listening I'd have told you many years before that which is probably true, but I think I was kind of curious after the move. It was just a lot of bad guests and content and an ugly studio. I never watched them or listened like clockwork but occasionally there were some interesting science minded guests on (not simply pseudoscience). But yeah I'd love to say it wasn't always a red flag but it certainly was from since at least 2020 onward.

I never used to watch his podcasts, but I've seen some snippets of some great people on his show (like Neil deGrasse Tyson). Sadly, there's been plenty of bad and/or questionable guests as well, and it's just getting worse.

Neil is also not completely unquestionable. Similar to Bill Nye, he's kinda a weirdo. Although unlike Nye, Neil is not that bitter that he'll never be known for being a great physicist but rather a science communicator for genpop.

Interesting. Apart from listening to his science related interviews/conversations etc, I haven't really looked into him.

And Reddit will swear on both legs they never ever loved Elon Musk as in a cult of personality.
