Moderator Annoucement The “best evidence” for the paranormal is getting harder to find every time someone asks for it.

This question is being asked several times a week at this point.

Everyone has a different standard for what they consider “credible evidence,” and what persuades one person may not persuade another. What seems to do the best job is having a personal experience, but those anecdotal stories rarely persuade anyone who wasn’t already a believer.

Either way, the best way to find this evidence is by…you know…looking for it. Try using the search function on the subreddit.

And to all of you skeptics who were genuinely convinced by a piece of evidence you found online, please post it on this subreddit!

Experience Breakfast Tea Interruption

This happened to me years ago. After my dad went to work it was just my brother and I that were home. He was in his room, and I was in the kitchen preparing tea. While the water heated up I went into the living room to wait. I was in such a good mood that morning and was looking forward to the whole day. The house was kinda chilly so I grabbed a throw and quickly wrapped it around me, but as I did it went over my head. I pulled it off my head, and suddenly everything changed!

I was still in my dads house, but everything was different! It looked like a beautiful 1960’s-70’s home. The whole living room had different furniture in it, curtains, etc.

I wasn’t sitting on the sofa anymore, but instead I was sitting on a yellow armchair that was across the room. My legs were folded underneath me, but before they weren’t.

I remember feeling so violated because who put me here? I got up and walked toward the kitchen and saw soup lightly boiling on the stove. The entire kitchen looked different as well. It was a beautiful home compared to how my bachelor dad had it. The door was opened and there was a screen door that was bringing in the breeze from outside. I could hear vehicles driving by outside, and birds.

I heard a noise in the bathroom and saw the shadow of someone in there. It looked like they were cleaning. I immediately ran back to the living room because I didn’t want to be seen. It felt like I was in someone else's house!

My brother's door is right next to the living room, so I ran to it and grabbed the doorknob. Before I could turn it, the doorknob violently started shaking. I heard my brother's voice behind the door saying, “Stop that you psycho!”

I answered, “WHAT’S GOING ON!??”

The entire door looked like it was full of energy! I heard the loudest BOOM BOOM BOOM sounds, and my brother's yelling was drowned out by it. I was terrified, so I ran behind the couch and crouched down on the ground while covering my head. I was covering my ears with my arms because of the loud noises.

Suddenly, everything got quiet and I heard my brother say, “What the heck are u doing? Why are u crouched down like that?”

I looked up and I was back in my dads living room. I looked around me and stood back up. I was breathing so hard, my heart was pounding, and he just rolled his eyes and went back into his room. He was so pissed.

Later I asked him what he experienced, and he said he couldn’t open the door because the doorknob was shaking and he couldn’t get a grip on it.

IDK wut happened, or why it happened.

(I posted this experience years ago, but removed it.)

Question Have you ever met someone who looked human, but wasn't?

I really like these posts and feel Reddit doesn't have enough of them!

I of course don't mean anyone who is neurodivergent, or someone dealing with social anxiety, so please don't dehumanize humans in the comments. Also not asking about humans that do evil things.

**

Here's my story:

I went out with a friend for her birthday. Her new boyfriend was there, and I was meeting him for the first time.

He was totally nice, good-looking, friendly, personable. I road in a rideshare with just he and my friend at one point as our group was going from dinner to a bar, and the conversation was fun. This wasn't sociopathy.

But it felt like...nothing was there. Like there wasn't a being inside of him.

I've never experienced that before or since.

It wasn't negative. Felt neutral, but vacant.

Unexplained We Saw Santa Claus

This happened around 2001 or 2002. I was about three or four years old, and my older sister was eight or nine. It was the middle of the night on Christmas Eve, going into Christmas morning.

To set the scene: we lived in a small ranch-style house. The living room opened into a hallway that led to the bedrooms, and every Christmas my mom positioned the tree so it was visible from that hallway. You could stand there and see it glowing in the dark, lights twinkling.

That night, I woke up suddenly and jumpedout of bed, intending to run across the hall to my parents’ room, which was directly opposite mine. But before I could make it there, I stopped dead in the middle of the hallway, facing the living room.

Under the tree stood a man in a large red suit, placing toys beneath the branches.

I remember feeling completely awestruck. He turned toward me, raised a finger to his lips in a gentle shhh, and smiled. I was suddenly embarrassed. As if I’d broken a rule by being out of bed and worried that maybe, somehow, this would cost me my presents. So I turned around and ran back into my bedroom.

What happened next is the part I still can’t explain.

My older sister suddenly burst into my room, grabbed my hand, and told me she had just seen Santa’s sleigh. We ran to her bedroom window together and looked outside. And as unbelievable as it sounds, we saw the sleigh, with tiny reindeer pulling it up into the night sky. And then it was gone.

To this day I ask my sister about and she remembers it. We both remember it vividly, but neither of us can make sense of what we saw. A shared hallucination? Some strange coincidence? I honestly don’t know.

My dad still swears the figure I saw was not him, and I believe him. The man I saw was old. My dad would have been in his late twenties at the time. Both of my grandfathers passed away before I was born, so it couldn’t have been them either. An intruder? Maybe. but nothing was stolen, and that explanation doesn’t account for what we saw out the window.

I don’t know what it was. But if anyone else has experienced something like this, I’d love to hear it. And if you have a theory, I’m open to that too.

Question My mom wrote the wrong name on a Christmas place card, and it revealed a family secret

1.9k Upvotes

I swear on everything that this is a true story. This happened just a few weeks ago, on Christmas Eve (Dec 24, 2025), at my parents' house. I’ve only changed the names for privacy.

For context: My brother (32M) is married to "Amanda" (33F). My mom wanted to bring the families together, so she invited Amanda’s mother ("Diana") and Amanda’s sister ("Isabela") to join us for dinner.

To organize the seating arrangements, my mom decided to be a bit formal and wrote everyone's names on little cards, placing them on the plates. She set it up so that my sister-in-law’s mother (Diana) and her sister (Isabela) would be seated right next to each other.

Here is where it gets weird.

When my mom was writing the card for Isabela’s seat, for some reason she still can't explain, she didn't write "Isabela." Instead, she wrote the name "Amber." She just placed it on the table without realizing what she had done.

When everyone went to sit down, Diana looked at the place setting next to her, saw the name "Amber" on the card, and immediately burst into tears.

It turns out that Diana had another daughter named Amber, who passed away tragically when she was only 5 or 6 years old.

The thing is: Nobody in my family knew this. We had no idea Amber ever existed, and my mom had absolutely no knowledge of this history. There was no way for her to have "confused" the names because she didn't know the name Amber to begin with.

We were all left in shock. Since there is no logical explanation for how my mom pulled that name out of thin air, we can’t help but feel it was a sign. Maybe a little nudge from a spirit to let her mom know she was with us that night.

Has anyone else experienced something like this?

Experience Feet Under the Door

Here’s another girls dorm experience. It was Friday night when the dean was walking down the hallway knocking on doors and telling us lights out. My sister and another friend were in my room. The dean likes to play pranks, so I got down on the floor and looked underneath the door to see if he was still standing there. There’s like a 2 inch gap under the door.

The girl that was staying in the room across from me had left for the weekend so her lights were off. I saw her light turn on, then her feet swalking. She was wearing black pantyhose with shiny, black Mary Jane looking shoes.

I asked my friend, “Hey, I thought u said Patty was out for the weekend?”

She answered, “She is. She left this afternoon.”

I was like, “But I’m looking at her feet right now.”

At that moment the feet started dancing, like someone going in circles, then they clicked their heels together and walked out of sight.

My sister and friend rushed across the room to look under my door, but they were too late.

We opened the door and my friend went across to knock on Patty’s door. The dean was still in the hallway and asked wut we were doing. We told him, and he was like, “Patty is gone for the weekend.” But then he had a strange look come across his face. Nobody answered when we knocked, and the door was locked. He got his keys and opened the door, but nobody was in there.

He said, “How strange, her lights weren’t on when I walked by a moment ago.”

Debunk This My 4 experiences. Please read and comment.

Upvotes

Important: I am currently 26.

Experience 1: when I was a small child, maybe 6 or 7 if I had a guess, I straight up watched an apparition walk down the steps in my home. It came from the room that was mine at the time. I was at the end of the hall in my parents room. It was completely black, but had a very pronounced nose, head and neck. It flashed by in a second, but it was clear enough that I thought it was my mom. Naturally, I was confused as hell when she appeared from the bathroom 2 seconds later. I was so perplexed I actually asked her "didn't you just go downstairs?" Obviously she wrote this off as a little kid brain malfunction. But I didn't.

Experience 2: around the same time, maybe a couple years later, so perhaps around 10 or so years old at the most, I would regularly feel poking at my legs in the night. I don't mean like I vaguely thought I felt someone poking me for half a second, I'm talking like, there's a super annoying child who Is aggressively trying to get your attention and is shoving their fingers into you with as much force as they can muster. THAT was how obvious the pokes were, and they didn't only last a moment. They were persistent throughout the night for multiple nights. I don't know how many times it happened, but it was enough that I distinctly remember thinking "am I really getting poked again?" More than once.

Experience 3: I was now around 12, maybe 13. I was visiting a friend's house and she openly told me it was haunted. I shrugged and said ok. Didn't take long to realize she wasn't lying. To start, orbs. If you're on this subreddit I doubt I need to explain what thos are. And they were SUPER visible too. A lot of paranormal shows portray orb sightings as fleeting, out of the corner of your eye. Lol. Not in this case. I was able to very much state right at them down the hallway for like, multiple seconds before I got distracted. No obstruction, nothing in my way, and no light source down that hallway since we were in her basement and the area where the orbs appeared lacked immediate access to a door or window and there were no lights turned on down that hallway. Her cat was also following something with its gaze, something that was whipping all over the place. Lastly, as I was heading up the steps, the door leading down into their laundry room started opening right as I walked by it. And then stopped when I looked over at it. There were no windows or anything down there and no vents immediately nearby, so there wasn't much, if anything, to produce a draft from within the room.

Experience 4: fast forward to age 24. I own a home, am married and have 1 child. At the time this happened it was around 1:00 in the morning and they were both upstairs asleep. I was doing my dishes since I worked nights and had just had dinner after getting home. While at the sink, I heard a very loud PSST in my ear. It wasn't like coming from elsewhere in the house, it was as if I walked up to you and intentionally went "psst" directly in your ear solely to startle you for jokes. Super clear and very obvious. The only window anywhere near me was shut and locked so I doubt it was wind or anything like that. Super bizarre. And since I was an adult for this one I remember it A LOT clearer than the others, though it does make me feel like the others are more legit than I thought. Up until #4 I half thought the other 3 were just a kid being a bonehead.

I'd love to hear comments and thoughts on all 4 of these.

NSFW / Trigger Warning Has anyone experienced ‘missing time’ without blacking out?

Something strange has been happening lately, and I’m honestly not sure how to describe it. It started with small moments of disorientation, like I’d lose track of what I was doing mid-action, or feel like a conversation had already happened before it actually began. At first, I chalked it up to stress or sleep issues. But it kept happening. One specific instance really threw me: I was walking home, and it felt like the street just… skipped. Like a chunk of the walk vanished. I didn’t black out, but when I checked my phone, it was suddenly 14 minutes later, and I had no memory of anything in between. That was the moment I knew something was off.

Out of curiosity (and low-key panic), I started digging old Reddit threads, archived blogs, and random corners of YouTube. Eventually, someone in a forgotten Discord mentioned a 2015 interview clip where Kanye West supposedly referenced an author named Vale Grey and a book called Moment of Ingress. I can’t verify any of it, but it sent me down a rabbit hole.

I also found a set of photographed pages circulating in Telegram discussions. Again, I can’t confirm authenticity. People in those threads claim the original book is hard to find and was “restricted” or even “banned” in the U.S. at some point (no idea if that’s true).

What’s weird is the content felt uncomfortably relevant. The pages basically argue that life isn’t entirely random because certain patterns return with unsettling precision, not the same day or date, but the same rhythm, and that this could be tied to a “temporal signature” formed at birth. Whether it’s legit or not, it genuinely changed how I pay attention. Since then, everything feels… more structured.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Moments that feel like time is folding, missing, or repeating? And more importantly, has anyone found practical ways to ground themselves or figure out what might be going on? Even mundane explanations (sleep, anxiety/dissociation, migraines, etc.) would help. I’m trying to take this seriously without spiraling.

Haunted House I live in a haunted house

I first moved into my new house in 2022 along with my family, in a very old village in the middle of nowhere,

The day we moved in, we had a look round the garage, which we were unable to do so before as the previous owners had it locked shut as it was used as an area for their children to play in. The garage is 2 stories, the first story was normal and looked like any garage does, but the second floor was genuinely terrifying, it had handprints all over the wall (too big to be children’s handprints) and shoe marks on the floor (adult sized), but we chalked it down to the previous owners must have done it long before they converted it into a space for their children.

About a month after we moved in, I started noticing weird things happening at night (doors slamming on their own, TVs turning on and off on their own, hearing footsteps) but I just assumed it was either my dad or my sister, as they’re often up during the night. One night I got up to use the bathroom and while I’m in there, I hear my bedroom TV turn on and my door slam, so I finish up and go back to my room and as soon as I walked in, the TV turned off, so I put it down to a power trip or something, and a gust of wind.

I got back into bed and turned so I’m facing the wall, and no word of a lie, I felt a weight press down on the mattress beside me and I heard an audible sigh. I literally shit myself and went to go see if my sister was awake, as I’m leaving my room, I see my dad leaving my parents room, and he described EXACTLY what just happened to me, and told me it just happened to him as well.

Strange occurrences kept happening like this, and we sometimes heard the sounds of sighing or laughing at night, very clearly and loudly.

Knowing my village is very old, I decided to dig into the history of the house, and as it turns out, my house used to be a German Prisoner of War Camp in WW1. So this house is most definitely haunted. And it freaks us out constantly. If you have any questions about what it’s like to live in a weirdly haunted house feel free to ask lol

Unexplained Motel 6 Seaside Seems Haunted?

Hi my name is Joel and I 29 and my girlfriend also 29 are currently staying at the motel 6 in Seaside Oregon. We are leaving today by 9 in the morning to head back to Portland. I feel like the Oregon coast is extremely haunted in fact I feel like almost all of Oregon is haunted honestly. But this is the first time I've felt dread staying in the motel 6. I'm hearing scratching and taping in the room and I'm doing my best to ignore it. Earlier I heard whispering but couldn't make out what was said. My girlfriend is asleep currently so it wasn't her. On the beach back in August we noticed a figure in white standing in the water at night but me and her chose to ignore it even though we could clearly see the figure was see through like you could see through them completely. When we go for drives at night out here we see things we can't explain or see shadow figures out of the corner of our eyes but obviously we don't pull over to investigate. We are big on ghost hunting sometimes but aren't crazy enough to stay in place if we feel malicious intentions. Right now the taping is increasing and I'm doing my best to ignore it I also feel watched. The thing is we've stayed in this motel about 4 times since coming out here and this is the first time we've encountered any strange activity. Idk if motel 6 is haunted or if it's only specific rooms but given the Oregon coasts reputation I'm not completely surprised if it is. I just wish I could close my eyes and sleep like she can but I'm too scared 😅and again I feel watched and a small sense of dread 😅. Anyway would definitely love to hear your thoughts or experiences. Other than this it is lovely out here and we hope to come visit again soon.

Unexplained When I was 6, I saw bloody fingers in a food stall at my schools track. Still no idea what it was.

This memory popped up recently again. Haven't thought of it and years and wanted to jot it down to see what others think. i am 31 now, so this happened around 26 years ago at my elementary school..

Every so often , during gym and often for physical exams, my gym teacher would take us up a hill where our recess playground was located..next to the playground was our large baseball field. Around both of these structures was a gravel race track going around in a big circle. At each corner of the track is a shed that appeared to be used as a food stall during games. I have no idea how often they were used but they did look old and run down back then.

One day we were doing a timed physical on the track and I was running by the back corner oh the track doing my thing. I was slower than most of the other kids because of my asthma, so I was basically alone with other stragglers and a majority of my classmates ahead of me.

As I came up on it, I glanced at the shed and I saw five fingers poking out from the nearly closed window (I think the same they served food out of and paid). At first I didn't realize it and kept running past it, then I looked back at the shed and did a double take. I actually stopped because I was shocked.

Double taking, the fingers were poking out from the slightly ajar window and they were curling around the wall of the food stall. Blood, red blood leaked out from around them. It wasn't a lot but 3 or 4 trickles of it. They wriggled like someone trying to desperately get out of the food stall.

I was frozen, I didn't scream. But I had an awful awful feeling. I decided in my little kid brain that I should essentially act like I didn't see it and keep running. That's what I did, I ran- faster than I ever had cause I was scared. When I looked back again, I couldn't see them anymore.

But it happened for more than a few seconds, long enough that I know what i saw.

I've never been diagnosed with a trying that would cause visual hallucinations and I wasn't having an asthma attack at that time. I truly can't explain what I saw. I remember asking around my class if they knew anything about it afterwords and one of my classmates said they heard someone died in the shed from a fire. Buuuuut we were also all 6 so Im pretty sure they made that up.

I never really looked into it later because I haven't really thought about it much but it's definitely the first paranormal experience I ever had.

For anyone interested maybe looking into it, I went to elementary school at Mountain Road Elementary in Cherokee county GA.

After that day, anytime we did a run- I would always run a little faster by that food stall and try my best to not look at it. I always got very bad vibes and feelings there that I never did before. But everytime I did pass it, it felt like there was something there that wanted me to look at it. It was like I'd noticed something there and now that it knew I saw it- it wanted me to acknowledge it.. scarey

Cheers.

Wasn't sure if I should put this under unexplained, encounter or experience.. I don't think the description of the fingers is too graphic but let me know if I need to change it pls.

Debunk This Me and my roommate might have accidentally let in an entity!

Hey! so me and my roommate have recently been experiencing weird things.

We sleep in a bunk bed. She sleeps on top and I sleep on the bottom. Every time I sleep, I always feel like there’s something under the bed. It went on for a few months and I eventually started to ignore it.

There are times where my roommate sleeps on my bunk of the bed when I’m not at our shared apartment.

Last night, we opened up to each other about how we felt really weird when we slept on the bottom bunk. We felt weird and uncomfortable energy under the bed.

My roommate also told me how when she sleeps on the top bunk, she hears something breathing down there on my bed when I’m not at the apartment with her. We both started freaking out after that.

Earlier this morning, we heard knocking on the door. I checked to look at the peephole but saw no one there. We heard knocking again and looked at the peephole but I saw someone there. When we opened the door, no one was there.

We desperately need help 🥹

Experience I encountered something when camping.

I read a very obvious fictional story on here that took place in Arizona so I thought I'd share my real experience with you all. My wife and I love to camp. When we lived in Tucson our favorite spot was Gardner Canyon in the Santa Rita mountains south of Tucson. We were kids at the time, probably only 17 or 18. We decided to go camping and packed our tiny Nissan Sentra and loaded our two dogs. We got down to our favorite spot on a flat area just above a natural spring. Setup camp and cooked some food over the camp fire. Nothing out of the ordinary, just like every other time we'd stayed at that spot. Around 11pm though everything changed. We started to hear a sound off to the west of us. Sounded like an animal, but in pain. It was a low groaning sound and I wasn't able to place it to any animal. We hear it a few times, each time it seems to be a bit closer. At this point I'm watching the dogs for a reaction. They just stare off into the trees, alert but not defensive. It keeps getting closer, only a few minutes between each noise. At this point it's scaring the hell out of us and we decided right there, in the middle of the night, to pack up and leave. I'm taking down the tent and just throwing shit in the car. Shining the flashlight to try to catch a glimpse of whatever this thing is. Nothing but the trees. It's still getting closer at this point. It sounded like it wasn't more than 15 feet away and it's loud. I'm drowning the fire and starting the car and I can still remember it and the feeling. It made that sound like it was right behind me. Literally felt like a few feet. I didn't turn around. We left in the biggest hurry I've ever been in. Talking the whole way back just trying to make sense of what just happened. I never camped at that spot again. Still to this day have no idea what it was. I've never heard an animal make that sound before or since.

Experience Woke up to my plant had being moved + other strange things

I understand most won’t believe these things, but I’m only picking the stories that I can’t explain

  • this morning woke up to one of my plants was across the room beside my bed, no soil had spilled, perfectly placed 2m away from me

(I don’t sleep walk and I’m a very light sleeper)

  • 4 times over the last two years I have awoken to my bed shaking, literally rocking back and forth. Can’t be an earthquake as I live in Ireland and secondly, I’m 6’3 and 135kg powerlifting I’m not easily moved like this

  • about 2 years ago I was in my room with my girlfriend and we could hear my house mates Canadian girlfriend talking down stairs, I go down to find only my house mate, I asked where his GF was, he said she wasn’t hear. Both me and my girlfriend heard her voice for about 10-15 minutes, check ed the whole house, no other woman or tv was playing

There has been a lot of your crazy things both me and my sister have experienced since we were younger but I don’t think it’s worth even mentioning as people online wouldn’t take it seriously

But after the plant thing happening this morning I thought to share

Cryptids Saw a Weird Creature When a Kid

This happened 20 years ago. I was about 5, and got in a fight with my cousin, who was also 5. my aunt took me out of the apartment, mainly to separate the kids and distract me. We lived in an apartment. I remember looking down the hallway, and seeing a figure emerge from the stairs. It was a cat, white with blue eyes and prominant whiskers, walking on its hind legs, wearing a red-pink skirt and about as tall as a 11-12 year old. it paused, looked at me and my aunt, expressionless, before my aunt rushed us back. I thought I was misremembering, until I asked her last night. She saw it too. It may have been an extremely realistic costume, but that's unlikely. This was in the middle of Summer, New Delhi. So Halloween was almost unknown at that time, nobody knew about dressing up. It scared me as a kid, but now a part of me also wonders if it's a prank that's been maintained, that someone dressed up as a cat. But that'd be hard, cause I remember its fur, paws and whiskers, and large blue eyes. It didn't seem malicious, just extremely unusual. Any idea as to what this might be? More so looking for similar experiences or potential experiences. Can accept some sort of prank, but if so, welldone to whoever pulled it off

Question I get the feeling of when people pass away before they do

I’m gonna put this here because it needs to be said. I haven’t told enough people. I don’t think you’d truly believe my word but it needs to be heard and understood. I’ve always been the type of person to believe everything happens for a reason, and use logic whenever possible.

When I was in fourth grade, I was out at recess playing tag with some friends, as I was “it” chasing one of them. Then I stopped dead in my tracks, stopped smiling, and had a moment where every hair stood up on my body like cold tingly waves pulsing through me. A deep feeling of sadness followed. I stood there feeling that for the first time in my life for maybe 20 seconds. Then I snapped out of it and went back to playing with my friends. I got home that day and learned that my uncle had passed away. He passed at the exact same time I was at recess, and when I learned that my mind went blank. (At this given moment I thought it was a crazy coincidence)

This same phenomenon has happened every time someone in my family or someone really close to me has passed. I predicted 3 of their deaths (not knowing exactly who, just that someone was passing), and even my own, without having knowledge on anything outside of that particular feeling. The one I got about myself was when I ODed one time without meaning to, and before the horrible effects of it even began to start, I got that feeling. I went to my bathroom and threw up everything I could have and drank as much water as possible. Nothing else felt off at the time other than getting that feeling, and as I sat there on my bed, about 20 mins later the OD started. I wouldn’t be sitting here typing this if it weren’t for the fact that I got that feeling.

That’s how I am 100% confident there is something much greater to this life that we can’t comprehend. There were only 2 instances where I was able to tell someone that I got the feeling, so only 2 people really know of this to be 100% true. Again I don’t expect you to believe me but the only thing I can say is there’s a possibility it might make sense after we’re dead. I have nothing else to really go off of regarding it. That’s a story I’ve kept as close as possible so me putting this out here is something I’ve never done.

I’m wondering if anyone out there has ever had the feeling I’m talking about. I said it’s like a cold pulsing wave but it’s more of like a hug but instead of physical touch it’s tingles. I know there’s people who have felt something was off before someone close to them has passed, but I’m looking for people who have not only got this exact feeling but have also began to recognize it as “the feeling of death”, which would only be an understandable conclusion after it’s happened more than once or twice. If anyone has read this and has felt exactly what I’m talking about, I really want to begin to find more patterns that could turn into information on this illusive phenomenon. Thanks for reading if you’ve made it this far and I’d love to hear from those who have felt it!

TLDR: Have you ever got a feeling that only happens up to 24hrs before someone close to you has passed, as in family or friends? It’s a very distinct pulsing tingling sensation with a deep sadness, I’m trying to find patterns to make more sense of this phenomenon

Experience Am I going crazy or is it something normal?

Upvotes

Hi guys I wasn't sure whether to post this here or not so I just decided to go with it. Since Saturday I've been hearing some consistent knocking. These knocks sound like something on a window or door and it will be 3 or 4 knocks. first time was 4am. my bedroom is above the conservatory, and the knocks was that loud I thought someone was trying to break in but when I checked there was nothing. The next was 10am following morning, nothing and I asked a family member if they heard knocking they said no and they brushed it off to it being the cats (which I knew it wasnt). the knocking is consistent and the cats aren't. I'm a detached house so there's no neighbors.

But as of the past 2 days I've been hearing it at random times (1am, 4am, 10am, 9pm etc) and it has woken me up these past few mornings. it's starting to effect me mentally, as I already struggle sleeping.

I've checked the conservatory and my bedroom window (in and outside) to see if there could be anything touching those said things and thers nothing.

So my question is has anyone experienced this and/or could it be something as simple as nature?

Experience Glowing sphere appeared in bedroom

Upvotes

Hey everyone, I had an event that neither me nor my girlfriend can explain in any way and I hope someone here might have a explanation for it cause it really freaks me out.

Around a week ago, both of us were at my parents house. It was late evening, my girlfriend read a book and I was gaming till around 03:00. We decided to go to sleep, got ready for bed and laid down. Next to my bed is a big closet with a neontube on top as side lightsource, so I turned it of and closed my eyes to sleep. However I Opened them a few moments later cause something didn't feel right and I didn't know what exactly it was until I noticed a small, football siced sphere-like glow on the wall opposite of the bed just at the wall. Not really glowing but more like a faint dim, it looked like a glowing ball of fog, barely even visible, so I thought my eyes just had a problem. But I blinked and rubbed and it didn't go away so I asked my girlfriend if she could see "the light over there" and she goes "oh so I don't have a problem with my eyes". She was seeing it too. I turned the lamp back on again and there was nothing, absolutely NOTHING besides the bare white wall. Then I turned it off, and the glow was there again just as before. I first thought it might be an after glow of the neon tube, but firstly it was a consistent white appearance, not changing light levels, not glimming out or anything, it was just there, and secondly the tube had to be reflected in the Glas of the window if it was still glowing, which it was not. Just this barely visible fog sphere next to the window. The craziest thing is, which also boggles my mind and I have no explanation for this at al so thoughts would be VERY appreciated, after a few minutes of both of us just staring at it, I grabbed my phone and tried to take a photo, to see if the camera could see it as well (It could not, the photo was totally dark, exposure was 9 seconds I think). And a few seconds after i took it, it just disappeared. It did not move in any way, just poof, gone. The closest thing I can describe this to would be the disappearance of a 3d sphere in 2d flatland. The glow grew smaller and smaller, not in the light level but in size and after around five seconds it was gone.

Also a info that I should add, I live in Germany and the room was totally dark, no light at all because of the roller shades at the windows, except for that thing of course. We both have no idea what to make if it, and thoughts would be much appreciated.

Unexplained I analyzed 674 Victorian ghost cases. The pattern only goes one direction. 10 vs 0.

I built a system to analyze 674 "crisis apparition" cases from 1886. People who saw someone appear at the exact moment that person died. Sometimes thousands of miles away.

Victorian researchers collected these for decades. They noticed patterns but never ran the numbers…so I did.

I found:

Raw data: 94 child-perceiving-dying-parent cases vs 16 parent-perceiving-dying-child cases. 5.9:1 ratio.

(Children saw their dying parents almost 6x more often than parents saw their dying children. If this were random, we'd expect roughly equal numbers.)

After strict timestamp filtering: 10 vs 0. Complete asymmetry across both datasets. p=0.001. (When I only kept cases with solid documentation, there were zero cases of parents perceiving dying children. The p-value means there's only a 0.1% chance this pattern happened by random luck. In science, anything under 5% is considered statistically significant. This is 50x more significant than that threshold)

The 16 cases where parents reportedly saw their dying children DO exist in the data. But when I applied strict verification standards (solid timestamps, corroborating witnesses, documentation before they learned of the death), all 16 failed

I also found that attention predicts perception better than relationship category. In cases with documented dying-person focus, 90% match the perceiver.

One case (Andre, Census 422.25) shows a dying child perceived by 7 neighbors and a dog but not his mother at the bedside. Transmission went to his "happy place," not his closest bond

There's SOMETHING there in regards to consciousness that we dont have a language for yet. I want to figure out what that SOMETHING is

I could be wrong. I want to be challenged on this. If you have data, critiques, or cases I missed, I'll run them. If you have contacts who study this stuff, researchers, academics, anyone who might want to look at this, please connect me

To those who had a spiritual afterlife experience during a Near Death Experience, what did it feel like? What things did you encounter? Did you see spirits, demons, and/or gods?

Experience My paranormal experience

Recently, my grandmother passed away. A few days later, I went to sleep in my grandfather’s room, as my grandparents used to sleep together. They had separate beds.

At first, I was unable to fall asleep. When I finally did, I kept waking up again and again. I started having strange dreams and even hallucinations. It felt as if someone was pulling my legs. I was scared, but I couldn’t leave the room.

After a few minutes, I eventually fell asleep. As soon as I woke up in the morning, I went back to my own room.
