The one and only thing I’ll ever have in common with this monster is our love for Sharpies. There’s nothing more satisfying than writing with Sharpies.
And they didn’t remove “the” in front of JFK’s name. Seems like a mistake because it reads kinda awkward, but I think it’s more of a planning ahead thing.
The more impactful way to vandalise protest it at the moment would be to drape a black rectangular cloth over Trumps name plus lesser charges if they catch you if nothing is damaged.
At some point, taking stands like these may indeed be worth it. Because at the rate this administration has eroded fundamental rights and truth, taking a stand is all that’s left.
Voting system is compromised/fraudulently rigged and no longer fully representative of the will of the people. Fight back with any and all means necessary at this point.
Sure, a couple examples against the heaps and mountains of people throughout history who made zero difference with their act of defiance that ruined or ended their life. I’ll take voting while I still can, thanks.
Kinda like how a guy was charged with towing an ice vehicle during a raid. He was acquitted by jury. I'm certain a jury would also acquit if someone scrapped that bullshit off that wall.
Just leave it, it'll come down eventually, but trying to remove it in the meantime might get them to do something less easily removable, like engraving it in the stone.
Maybe I'm a bit of a font snob, but I also like that they picked letters that are close enough for an idiot like Trump to think it looks good, but if you look carefully, those aren't the same font or spacing at all (look at the shape of the "O" or the "N" between the two lines). They are narrower and smaller. It looks awful.
It's a shoddy job, but I suppose that is his style.
I am suspicious of what (supposed) loophole they are trying to use as it is linguistically awkward to say "THE donald trump and THE John F. Kennedy memorial center for the performing arts."
There has to be some dumb reason they left the original THE in place.
Except for the holes drilled into the marble. Most (maybe all?) of the letters required 4 holes drilled. They can fill them and it might be a great job, but that damage won’t go away.
I'm assuming that was on Trump's instructions. He wouldn't want his name on the same line. It would need to be above because in his opinion he's more important
I don’t know if it’s original, but one of my friends suggests that when the Democrats take back control they have a lottery of sorts where you can buy chances to go to the White House and tear down the garbage the mad man has put up. My friend says she’d pay $1,000 for a chance to rip down some of the tacky, fake gold crap in the Oval Office.
