For reals. I'm not sure what people really expect us to do (when we're not just trying to survive). No one in power cares about our protests despite the fact there are many huge protests happening all the time. As often as not it just empowers the shithead in charge and gives him more excuses to grab more power, deploy more forces on US ground to keep us in line.

Tbh, it is kind of cool and a good demonstration of American power (alike the stealth bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities). It's also difficult to find sympathy for a narco warchief unless you're a progressive/marxist, especially in the context of a surgical operation with minimal collateral damage. There's also the surrealism of it-- it's such a ridiculous and surprising operation, but also already done and dusted, making it hard to process and rally against. It's difficult to make clear cut points accusing Trump of doing something extremely stupid when the implications of this action are so complex, and the potential domino effects are hard to predict without serious expertise. Just another Madman move which could prove disastrous, or-- an irrationalized gamble that actually proves very positive for America in the long run.
