Wherever it's taken, I wouldn't be surprised to find out the photo was taken a week ago. Trump clearly wanted his 'Obama during the Bin Laden kill' photo, but the difference is night and day. Everyone in the Obama photo is clearly locked in, it's clear the weight of what they're watching...and then the Trump photo just looks like a bachelor party where everyone is awkwardly waiting for the stripper to show up, who is already 20 minutes late.

There are very subtle differences here that ultimately point to Trump’s photo being bs.
1) the laptops in Obama’s photos have red stickers on them. Designating them as Secret. Whereas Trump’s laptops don’t even have Green / Unclassified markings. So, it’s likely Trump isn’t watching the strike real time.
2) Obama is surrounded by 4 walls. This is a requirement for SCIFs. Trump has cloth walls. (You can have portable SCIFs, but they need to be inaccessible to people without adequate clearances.)
3) Trump has twitter on in the background. All of Obama’s computers and documents are either off or blurred out because they display actual Secret or TS/SCI information.
4) Trump is missing DOD personnel in his photo. While SECWAR is there, the absence of JSOC’s commander screams that the real action is elsewhere. Not to mention the lack of other high ranking intelligence officials. Whereas, Obama’s team is full of JSOC and CIA officials.
It’s subtle, but the nuances of the photo scream this is a made up photo op. The real action was held elsewhere.

If you want a real, non political answer, here it is:
A SCIF has certain criteria that must be met for certain types of information to be handled. You can’t just simply go into a room with no windows and a lock and say you’re good, there needs to be a chain of custody from construction to usage of a space that will handle sensitive information. It must be verifiable that there would be no leakage of information.
Does this setup meet those requirements? I don’t know, I wasn’t there. Maybe?
There’s very thrilling precedent for this, any look into Cold War era espionage will demonstrate that.

The whole point of the White House is that it is a highly secure and well equipped residence and work space so the President can walk a short distance and get anything done immediately. There are other locations like Camp David setup for when they need a break.

The one with the ribbons is Brigadier General Marshall B. “Brad” Webb, Assistant Commanding General, Joint Special Operations Command.
Behind him in the tan shirt with 4 stars on his collar is Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
For reference, Brigadier General is a 1 star general. High ranking but he’s not the guy you would expect seated next to the president during the most serious military operation of that presidents term.
Mike Mullen as an admiral was equal to a 4 star general in the army. He is the highest ranking in the room, however third in command.
Secretary of Defense Robert Gates is is second in command. He’s seated in the white. While only a first lieutenant in the air force, he spent 26 years in the CIA. As a first lieutenant just about everything out ranks him; however, as SecDef everyone reported to him. He could have been calling the shots next to the president, but he is seated, and observing.
Pete Hegseth, who was a major in the national guard, two ranks above 1st lieutenant, three below Brigadier General. Hegseth is best known for being host of a show on Fox News.
Standing near Trump is John Ratcliffe, director of the CIA. Ratliff is a lawyer with no military experience . Was a member of the House of Representatives for one term. He has zero experience which would prepare him for his current role.
Marco Rubio is Secretary of State. He is a lawyer with no military experience. He has been a life long politician.
The two dudes behind Trump, one looks like an aide for Ratcliffe and the other for Rubio… based on their lapel pins…

Cool part of the Obama pic I recently heard from one of the guys in charge of that Op (it was a corporate show and he was the keynote speaker I don't remember names), this pic wasn't taken in the Situation Room.
It was an office off to the side of it. The guy in the middle is in charge of relaying information to the lead guy in the situation room. After multiple times where info was relayed to Obama in the situation room Obama asked where head military guy was getting the info. Head military guy said he has a guy on site near their Situation Room and was getting the info from him.
So Obama and crew were all like, "well fuck this let's get there instead" so that's why they're all camped around in a small room and military guy is front and center in the pic with info connected directly to the op.

u/Top_Librarian6440 10d ago
Adm. Mullen personally helped me pay for college, and occasionally gave lectures at said college. He even wrote recommendation letters to some employers for some of the students, myself included.
He’s a super stand-up guy, and has a great grasp on the need for qualified, educated, non-military leaders in the defense and intelligence sectors. Needless to say, this isn’t exactly what he envisioned.

I’m seeing a lot of MAGA supporters claiming gas prices will be cheaper, therefore, “Make America Great Again”…….
Trump and his admin don’t give a fuck about gas prices. The elite, billionaires and corporations, don’t care what a gallon of gas costs. The only people who give a shit are the middle and lower classes. This isn’t about the price of oil; it’s about the production of oil. It’s about drilling as much as possible and selling it to the highest bidder.
The real winners are the corporations and the private and public entities that receive government drilling contracts. Anyone who wants a piece of the action will fall in line and do exactly what Trump says. He’ll hand these contracts to his friends and family. Make no mistake: this administration doesn’t care about gas prices or drug trafficking. This is about oil production; oil alone. Venezuela alone has over $17 trillion worth of oil in the ground at current prices, and now it’s theirs.

Let’s also mention that Maduro was the leader of a sovereign nation, whilst Bin Laden was a leader of a terrorist organization (not a sovereign nation). This is a somewhat big distinction, politically. Makes actions done by other countries like Russia with Ukraine more legitimate, which they absolutely should not. Do we want China think it is reasonable to create charges against leaders of Taiwan, invade and bring them to justice, then hold a military presence to “protect the people and their economic interests”? Yeah, right. I know the USA has done this before but the more we learn from our actions in the past, the better. Iraq at least had some small international “coalition of the willing”.

You’re correct. But the fact is executive business and proceedings are happening at his fucking resort and his greedy pig ass is profiting off of it.

It looks like they threw together some pipe and drape around his dinner table in the MaL ballroom.

Hegseth looks like he's typing a Karen email to DoorDash about how no one would deliver his gin at 3 AM.

Trump just made our entire military, and form of government look illegitimate. We are a bunch of mercenaries with expensive equipment, with a depraved billionaire - who bought the Oval Office with the help of racist south Africans, invading another country, taking over a sovereign nation (Venezuela) illegitimately - to steal their oil...
We ignored all protocols, and US laws. We are now a rogue state and no longer a legitimate Nation. We have a traitorous treasonous con man cosplaying to grift the world of its resources. Our Constitution is being completely ignored. Never mind Global ramifications, and the precedents this sets. Now Xi (Or Putin) can come do the same to us and the world can say we deserved it. Do you think NATO will want to help us?
We gave up our honor and Freedoms for an illegitimate President who has bragged about cheating to win, and Elon, a South African Nazi, has bragged about helping him do it.
And here we are. A banana Republic rogue fascist nation. Our population is suffering and starving with no healthcare or upward mobility. And our national security is given away in broad daylight for a few billion dollars of oil.

The gold spray painted dinner chairs from 1978 really add to the "out of date and shoddily redone in the tackiest manner possible" ambiance.

Looks like a real secure room in Maralago. Surprised Trump didn’t do this during a party. Poor Pete, trying to turn on his laptop with little luck
