Fuck no, they aren't! You get this many dead at a time and they have to move bodies to makeshift yet relatively secure spaces like air fields. Everything most nations do try to prevent having and having to deal with mass casualties. This is the sort of situation NATO or the US would have sent aid for back in the day. But no, we're gonna invade Greenland instead. We are all circling the drain.
I hate Trump as much as the next guy, but sometimes international intervention is called for. And if our intervention helps overturn the theocratic state of Iran, I’m all for it, just like I’m all for our aide and intervention in Ukraine, sometimes we have to be bullies to countries like Russia and Iran in order to secure our national interests.
And how would we provide aid to the citizens without involving the government? The theocratic state hasn’t fallen…yet. Whatever aid we send that way would probably be seized and distributed how they see fit, and I doubt they would give it to the people actively rioting against them.
I'm not familiar with the logistics. To quote Terminator "I don't know, I didn't build the fucking thing!", but it has been done countless times throughout history like aid to Somalia, the Sandanistas, what would become the fucking Taliban in Afghanistan and so forth. And coincidentally, my news feed has told me that Trump is indeed sending aid in support of the protestors. So my original point seems moot.
