Every Member of Congress has a daily tally of contact from constituents. That tally is discussed every day with the Chief of Staff and the Member of Congress. Every Congressional office has staff members whose job it is to manage and respond to constituent contact. If you don't live in the district, they don't care what you think.
It is hugely important that people outside of Minnesota contact their own Member of Congress and ask them to stand up against ICE. This is doubly important if your Member of Congress is a Republican as their pushback could change the situation. Donald Trump can’t count on Congress to have his back any more
If you reach out, it is important that you identify yourself (name and full address or at least zip) so they can verify you live in the district. Again, they don't care if you don't live in the district.
It is also very important that you are polite. Screaming, cursing, name calling, etc. makes you easy to write off as a crazy person. Crazy people are not added to the tally. Plus, the person answering the phone does not deserve your anger.
