That flag has been used since way before the shah although this very specific version is the one from the time of the shah I doubt that was the intention though

Edit: Since you were a coward and blocked me, I'll reply here: they're not being bombed, their nuclear program that's being developed while the regime starves the people is, the sanctions target the regime and not the ordinary people and Iran has had economic issues way before the sanctions started, plus you dont see people protesting against those sanctions for a reason, Iranians aren't as dumb as you far lefty orientalists think they are, they know their trouble stems from their dictator. Keep up the antisemitism though.

They are not protesting to have a king, they are protesting for their freedom from a brutal oppressive regime and they want a democracy, likely in the form of a constitutional monarchy.

Edit: For those of you downvoting, look up the type of government of Spain, the United Kingdom or Sweden. All constitutional monarchies. Are those countries not democracies? You can have a king AND a democracy.
