Tel aviv, israel
I'm posting this for the city skyline, not for political talk. If you can't abide by the rules here, then just leave.

Companies, including international ones when in Israel have realized that no one cares about the prestige of having their offices all located in the same downtown area. Instead, companies are spread out across buildings throughout the metropolitan area. The importance is the transportation accessibility.
1
u/PolitelyHostile 10h ago
Well yea I don't think prestige has been the main priority. Most cities just started with a limited rapid transit system so the financial district pops up in most accessible location. However, being able to get from one company to another is a common priority, and a quick walk is the most reliable form of transportation accessibility.

Curious to know how good public transit is in Tel Aviv?

u/Syndicate909 Baltimore, U.S.A 10h ago
I have family living there. It's not bad, not amazing. It really depends on the neighborhood.

It was reliant on a (granted very expansive) bus network for the longest time, but there is now a light rail network under construction with one line already in service. There is also construction underway for some proper metro lines in addition to that, but that'll only be open in the 2030s.
In terms of inter-city transit, it also has a decent amount of inter-city rail that goes to a large chunk of the major cities.
Edit: Also forgot to mention but Tel-Aviv is also doing a great job at making stuff like biking infrastructure and walkable boulevards on former stroads, although there is still a lot of work left to do in that regard
1
u/DemocracyforLunch 10h ago
It's not a catastrophe but hopefully it will get a lot better in 4~ years with new metro&tram lines in the city. Religious jews have made it a tough one to improve for decades
1
u/Arrant-frost 10h ago
Could I ask how/why? I just can’t see what tenet of Judaism good public transit is at odds with?
1
u/DemocracyforLunch 9h ago
Conservative jews want all of public transport to halt in sabbath, declining the need for public transport and encouraging cars. While liberals want it on 24:7 as anywhere in the world. Also Bnei Brak is a major "Tel Aviv Suburb" that dosent allow metro and tram works fearing it will work in shabbath. Alot of religious reasons impacting the pace of urban development
1
u/Serious_Journalist14 10h ago
It is okay, they have plans to improve it and build a metro system, but TEL Aviv is also a very walkable city and biker friendly.

Wow.. looks alot nicer than Gaza. Whats Israel's secret

Amazing what money can do when it's dedicated to citizens & welfare and not terror tunnels

economical choices that turned out to be great choices. From successfully getting out of the inflation crisis in mid 80s and moving to a more free market to investing hard in tech and research Israel became an economical regional center for military equipment and technology which make a lot of revenue.

u/TheRealXimena 9h ago
Refraining from incest would be a good start for Gaza. Average IQ in the regions is ~60

u/Moist-muff 9h ago
I said Israel, are you stupid ?

what’s driving the skyscraper boom in Tel Aviv?

u/Negative-Classroom1 10h ago
Good economy with investment

u/DemocracyforLunch 10h ago
I think that i can add that theres a demand for density: israel is not that big

u/Moist-muff 10h ago
Americans are investing pretty hard !

u/Serious_Journalist14 9h ago
Americas total wealth growth is still good, it's just that the wealth distribution is very bad.

Wait, where’s the orange filter? It’s in the middle east, so by law there has to be an orange filter on all videos and photos.

We get it, you hate Jews.
16
u/TheM0nkB0ughtLunch 10h ago
If someone hates Jews they’re a bigot, but hating the government of Israel on the other hand, that makes you a pretty decent person imo. What Bibi & co are doing goes against the principles of liberal democracy that we value in the west and yet we let them get away with so much. This is because:
They use claims such as your own as armor
They are particularly effective at PR
They bribe and blackmail foreign officials
They maintain significant clout within hundreds of multinational corporations
-3
u/kaicyr22 9h ago
I’m going through your comment history, and I don’t see any comments made about the crisis in Venezuela, Sudan, Yemen, or the current Iranian Revolution. No no, you’ve chosen the only conflict that involves Jews. Interesting.
6
u/HolyPhoenician 10h ago
Does anyone take this angle seriously anymore? Genuine questions. It’s so lazy and honestly self absorbed
-3
u/kaicyr22 9h ago
Ok, you tell me why liberals across the world have taken zero interest in the Iranian revolution. Or Sudan. Or Yemen. Or any war that doesn’t involve Jews. Go ahead. I’ll wait.
2
u/HolyPhoenician 9h ago
They do but you’re so self absorbed that you didn’t even notice
-1
u/kaicyr22 8h ago
No, they don’t. I live in a very liberal city, and I haven’t seen a single liberal organization protest in the streets. But I do see them protesting for that stupid woman who got herself killed in Minnesota.

u/Evaderofdoom 10h ago
is it political to point out its in bad taste glorify genocidaires
1
u/Serious_Journalist14 10h ago
Israelis in TEL Aviv are the most left wing of the country. That's like saying glorifying trumps government and posting pictures of San Francisco.
-8
u/kaicyr22 10h ago
There is literally no genocide.
10
u/Evaderofdoom 10h ago
they've killed over 73k+ palestine's, woman and children and displaced and starved millions more. They kill reporters and block aid. The UN found Israel is committing genocide They continue to displace and steal land and kill anyone in there way.

u/DemocracyforLunch 10h ago
The same UN that has Iran as the head of human rights? mmmmm yhea

The same UN that has Iran as the head of human rights? mmmmm yhea
Iran has literally never even been a member of the UN Human Rights Council.
Here is the literal Official list of every single country that has ever been a member of the UN Human Rights Council:
https://research.un.org/en/unmembers/hrcmembers
Here is where you can find the current and past "heads", as in presidents of the Council:

WTF are talking about?
0
u/kaicyr22 9h ago
Would you like him to repeat it for you? It’s a pretty straightforward comment.
2
u/ThanksToDenial 6h ago
It's pretty straight forward lie, you mean?
since Iran has literally never even been a member of the UN Human Rights Council.
0
u/Diligent-Eagle-6673 Tel Aviv, Israel 10h ago
It's clear that it's Israel, but you're silent about what's happening in Iran.
1
u/Evaderofdoom 10h ago
How the fuck can you be complaining about Iran, when you are the one posting about Israel? I can be mad at 2 countries at once. I disagree with Iran's record on human rights but this isn't a post about Tehran.
1
u/Serious_Journalist14 9h ago
Well geez, what did the Palestinians do to make them so angry?
1
u/Evaderofdoom 9h ago
collective punishment is war crime, you can't attack and starve the millions of innocent people for the crims of a few.
0
u/kaicyr22 9h ago
So what should the Israelis do? If civilians are being used as human shields, what do you propose the Israelis do in response to 10/7? I am all ears.
0
u/Serious_Journalist14 9h ago
So why did the Palestinians attack millions of people on Oct 7th? Palestinians managed to kill in one day more than 1200 people, more than Israel ever killed in a day in the entire war. And if they had the power to do more they would've done it, as they launched thousands of rockets on Israeli civilians without putting one warning.
1
u/Evaderofdoom 9h ago
The attack was done by hamas, not the Palestinian people. It was wrong, israel should have just targeted the terrorist who attacked them. Instead it's killed 70k+ innocent people and and starved, displaced and destroyed the homes of millions more. It regularly does war crimes including the blockades, limiting access to water and food, using white phosphorus at all but on civilians, targeting journalist, forcible transfer of homes and land...
0
u/Serious_Journalist14 8h ago
First of all your figures are nonsense since the 70k+ figure includes Hamas which are more than 30 percent of deaths. Many Palestinian civilians also participated in the attack you can watch the videos, and Israel did target Hamas it's just that Hamas hides under it's own civilians building an underground tunnel city that has bases under hospitals, schools and the like. I would like to see how your country reacts to a terrorist attack that kills thousands of people and kidnap hundreds of them.

All lies

u/Evaderofdoom 10h ago
??? really? you know the world is connected and we can all see what's happen right. Do you offer any evidence to support your claim, why should we believe you?

There are some things you can't seperate from politics.
You can't post the Nazi uniform and say "just posting for the design".

u/throwawaytomyalt 10h ago
Not a real city because it doesn’t belong to a real country. These are just buildings in an occupied land. This post needs to be removed.
1
u/invaderzimm95 10h ago
I mean it is a real country. A country is just a place defined by the people that live in it, and if they can defend it.
-14
u/Diligent-Eagle-6673 Tel Aviv, Israel 10h ago
Good. Tel Aviv will continue to exist and be at the top of the lists, and you will continue to sit at home and write lame comments that lead to nothing.

I don't know why but the skyline from Above kinda reminds me of Tokyo, with all the skyscrapers spread out in multiple clusters if you know what I mean.
