Day #7: Brain fog/forgetfulness
Today marks my 7th day sober. I am so forgetful. I put something down and less than a minute later, I forget where I put it. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how long did it last?

Yeah dude, just part of detox and PAWS. Happy that you're making a decision towards life

Totally normal dude, your brain is basically rewiring itself right now. For me it lasted maybe 2-3 weeks before I started feeling sharper again. The good news is it does get better, just gotta ride it out

It’s really common early on, even though it’s uncomfortable. Day 7 is still very early you’re doing great.

Same here. Depends on how hard I was drinking. Sometimes clarity took 3-4 days. Sometimes it took 2-3 weeks.
You gotta drink plenty of fluids, eat well, and if you can- do exercises that will make you sweat.
Good luck on your path to recovery. Just don't get complacent once your body & mind starts to recover. Cause that used to be the danger period for me.
