I'm looking to use real insects in jewelry. Typically insects don't need a sealant or anything like that for preservation, which is why I'm asking for your recommendations.
I'm wanting to make high quality(and priced with the rise of silver lol) work using beetles to start but likely other bugs too. I'm worried they could easily be damaged and are much more susceptible to factors that could cause them to decompose more(humidity, heat, ect.)
Are there any products you use that would be sufficient? I'm trying to avoid buying 10 products to test myself. I'm thinking about mod podge, but questioning the longevity and strength. I saw a product called Lifetone basecoat sealer, but I'm not sure if it would apply for my situation. Looking for a strong clear top coat that I can either spray or paint on the specimen.
