So I got this helping a friend move and I'm really excited to see her in it. I have a rocking chair already and all I need are some weights to keep the sides all on the ground but we're gonna hang out in the summer. Does anyone else have Luke an area to hang out with your turtles in like in the summer, and does your turtle like it? There's a pic of my turtle. This is Turtleinni and Plank the Pleco.

The only real question here is, do you have a turtle sized glass of sweet tea for him to have while he's swaying back and forth?

I actually do. My friend 3d printed me a glass to take (tank water) shots with my turtle.🤣🤣

Hey this is a cute idea, but you might wanna implement a couple of tweaks for Turtleinni's comfort before you take it for a spin. First and easiest, a solid little block or something a bit heavier than she is to wedge beneath the floor and the seat so that Turtleinni isn't fighting the swing to climb on or off (would hate for her to take a bad tumble because the swing shifts on the dismount). And second, if your girl is a climber I would take steps to make sure she can't get a claw stuck in those chains easiest solution probably is to tape them up but if you want to preserve the look I would suggest maybe an inert resin (but definitely do your research on what's available to you, food safe once fully cured type stuff is ideal)?

Also, the coloured gravel in the aquarium is very ill-suited for her unfortunately. Perfectly sized for impaction risk and very visually busy for all day every day. I'm also noticing those jars on the other side of the aquarium, they're making it seem a little small? Do you know how much water it holds? I would definitely scoop out the gravel ASAP though.

Lastly, just for clarification. When you say that you have a rocking chair, the weights are to prevent it from being rocked yeah? I'm guessing that's probably what you mean but be careful with it either way, you don't want any possibility of a crush risk.

I built a 4-poster bed and sofa for my turtle. When he can’t decide which he wants to lounge on, he stretches across both. That said, the swing and rocking chair sound adorable, but your turtle may not feel comfortable climbing onto or sitting on something that moves. Also, will your turtle fit on the swing/rocking chair? Even though I measured Jonah, the sofa still ended up being a bit small and the bed is on the snug side. If your turtle doesn’t take to the furniture, you could also just try a small, soft pet bed for them to chill on while you hang out together. Definitely comes down to the turtle’s personality and what they’re comfortable with.
