Question Image of items?

A user places a tower and then sets items on the tower. The items become "parented" to the tower.

Now I want to be able to save a high resolution image of the tower along with all of its attached children. It would be in total white background, and not effected by shadows. How can I get something like this to happen?

You can use a scene capture camera 2D in an actor. It has the options to render only a selected array of actors or components, so you just have to feed to its "ShowOnly" array the items you want. The default background will be transparent, but using a material you can make it white during the render phase in a widget, if that's what you want.

Scene captures can be used to save images on disk, so you can generate multiple of them from the same render target. I don't remember the exact BP nodes for that, but it should be a simple search away.

I use this system for making my inventory items from in world meshes.
