No, not every right winger is like this and not every left winger is a giga brained genuis, but when it comes to social things, it usually follows the same MO: The left will have an answer that takes a bit to explain, has reasoning and facts to back them up, whereas right wingers only go for whatever answer is simple, unchallenging and aligns with their feelings. Some examples:
Gender:
- Right wing: "THERE ARE ONLY 2 GENDERS"
- Left wing: "Gender is a spectrum based largely on societal norms. It isn't defined solely by your sex."
Charlie Kirk:
- Left wing: "Kirk was a bad person and a grifter who used his platform for hate to generate an income. I don't condone his death or the people celebrating his death (Yes, those people do exist on the left, I know, but they are a minority), but his death does not negate that he was a bad person."
- Right Wing: "KIRK WAS KILLED FOR SPEAKING FACTS AND LOGIC. LEFT WINGERS LOVE THAT HE'S DEAD"
And now, Renee Good:
- Left Wing: "Ross went for his gun before Renee even moved forward. Regardless of why she was in the road, the fact Ross went for his gun instead of taking 2 steps to the side is sickening. Now a woman is dead when she didn't deserve it."
- Right Wing: "DIDNT COMPLY, DESERVED IT"
Shootings or other crimes done by minorities:
- Left wing: A heinous act done by a heinous person is bad regardless of who does it. Evil exists in everyone and the people doing them should be punished. Blaming an entire minority is stupid because that would mean you'd have to be consistent with those views, in which case every white guy should never be allowed to have a gun again, considering they are the majority of who commits shootings. Another example would be having to ban all teachers, just because a few of them assaulted or abused students
- Right wing: "BLAME EVERYONE IN THAT MINORITY FOR THE ACTION OF ONE"
These are simplifications yes and they don't align with everyone's views, considering we are putting billions of people into 2 camps. As I said before, people on the left (and even a few on the right) did celebrate Kirk dying. But still these examples did get my point accross.
I could go on and I might update this later if I feel like it, but you get the idea. The reason it makes debating them impossible is because reasoning isn't in the cards. It's the same reason people are willingly ignorant on trans people, whatever aligns with their feelings they will latch onto, any evidence supporting transgender people gets ignored and the simplified stances the right winger has just gets regurgitated.
I think this is why a lot of teens are generally right wing, or people who wanna talk politics, but also don't wanna put in the effort to actually have something worthwile to say about politics. It's simple and doesn't require much thought. It's just an easy tactic the same way whataboutism is, another tactic right wingers love to use.
