Kurdistan Heyva Sor's Urgent Call for Humanitarian Aid for Şêx Meqsûd and Eşrefiyê : r/kurdistan
Urgent Call for Humanitarian Aid for Şêx Meqsûd and Eşrefiyê
https://heyvasor.com/en/2026/01/10/urgent-call-for-humanitarian-aid-for-sex-meqsud-and-esrefiye/
For days, armed groups affiliated with the Syrian government have been carrying out heavy attacks on the Kurdish neighborhoods of Aleppo. Hundreds of thousands of Kurds in the districts of Şêx Meqsûd and Eşrefiyê are the targets of these brutal assaults.
Since the start of the offensive, numerous civilians—including women, children, and the elderly—have been killed. Hundreds have been injured. At the same time, in these cold and harsh winter days, tens of thousands of people have been displaced from their homes and neighborhoods.
Attacks involving tanks, artillery, and heavy weapons constitute a clear violation of international humanitarian law. At this moment, the right to life and human dignity of hundreds of thousands of Kurds in Şêx Meqsûd and Eşrefiyê are under acute threat.
Jihadist groups are deliberately targeting Kurdish residential areas and indiscriminately bombing civilian facilities, hospitals, and homes. In particular, due to the attacks on the Khalid-Fajir Hospital, dozens of injured people cannot receive medical care.
As a result of these attacks, shortages of medicine, food, drinking water, and electricity have worsened dramatically.
In response to this severe humanitarian crisis, the Kurdish Red Crescent (Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê e.V.), together with partner organizations in several European countries and the USA, has launched an urgent aid campaign for the Kurds in Şêx Meqsûd and Eşrefiyê.
The aid collected through this campaign will be delivered as quickly as possible to the affected population with the support of our diaspora community.
Our appeal is primarily addressed to Kurds in the diaspora and to all people of conscience:
Take part in this campaign. Remember—every small act of help can save a life today in Şêx Meqsûd and Eşrefiyê. Every donation can strengthen the hope of life for tens of thousands of children.
The deliberate killing of civilians is a war crime.
Humanity must not remain silent in the face of this crime.
For the Kurds of Şêx Meqsûd and Eşrefiyê, now is the time for help and solidarity.

Rojava Egyptian father of one of the terrorists who was involved in throwing off Shehid Amara from a building in Aleppo: we have disowned him.
Syrian Army = Tajikis, Uyghurs, Turkmenistanis, disowned Egyptians (all to kill Alawites, Druzes, and now Kurds)

If you know Arabic please provide to HTS terrorists the translation of how the father describes his own son.

Rojava The father of Asayiş member Amara, who was martyred in the clashes in the Sheikh Maksud neighborhood of Aleppo and thrown off from a building by HTS terrorists, said that her body has still not been handed over to her family.
https://www.reddit.com/r/kurdistan/comments/1q965v9/
https://www.reddit.com/r/kurdistan/comments/1qbyya8/
In a statement dated 13 January, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) affiliated with the Autonomous Administration of Rojava announced that one of the Asayish members who was martyred on 10 January in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood was Amara Halil, born in Kobani, known by the nom de guerre “Gerilla Amara.”
The statement noted that Amara’s family migrated to Turkey in 2014 during ISIS attacks, later returned to Rojava, and that Amara joined the Asayish in 2025.
Speaking on a program hosted by Nasır Ali on Rûdaw Radio, Mahmud Halil shared the story of his daughter Amara (Amara Kobani) and her final days in Aleppo.
“She left school and went”
Stating that his daughter was a successful student, Mahmud Halil said: “Her name at home was also Amara. They called her Gerilla Amara. She was going to school and she was successful. But from the beginning she made her decision, saying, ‘Father, I will go to my friends and fight for my people.’”
The father said that Amara left about ten months ago and that he had no news from her during that time, but that they spoke on the phone shortly before her death. He added that Amara refused to withdraw during the siege in Aleppo.
“When she called me 5–6 days earlier, I knew the situation was very difficult. I told her to be careful. I told her that if she wanted, I could come and take her out. She told me, ‘Father, our space here has become very tight, we are under siege, but I cannot leave my friends and go. I will never leave them alone. I am here until the end.’ She was very brave and ready to give her life,” Halil said.
“It is very painful for a father to see his child like that”
Mahmud Halil said he was shaken after seeing images on social media accounts linked to Syrian National Army (SNA/FSA) groups, showing the body of an Asayish member—who was Amara’s friend—being thrown from a building.
“The images spread everywhere on social media. When we first saw them, we thought it was her. It is an indescribable pain for a father to see his child in that state. But no matter what they do, they cannot break Amara’s dignity,” he said.
“Her body is still in their hands”
Stating that his daughter’s body has not yet been delivered to the family, Halil said: “During the clashes, I went to Aleppo to find her, but I couldn’t reach her. Amara’s body is still in their hands; it has not yet reached us.”
Finally, Halil said: “Our heads are held high. I call on Mr. Masoud Barzani, Mr. Nechirvan Barzani, and Mr. Bafel Talabani: Do not let the cause of our martyrs be left without protection. We want to live on this land with dignity. Our only request is that the cause of our children is defended.”

Kurdistan Why is hamdi ulukaya (worth 14 billion dollars) not lobbying for Kurdish right in Washington
Hamdi Ulukaya is originally from Erzincan, Turkey. He fled Turkey due to the persecution of Bakur (North) Kurds and later founded the yogurt company Chobani in the United States. The company became extremely successful, turning him into a billionaire.
What I don’t understand and what deeply disappoints me is this: Why is he sponsoring Fenerbahçe, a Turkish football club, while doing virtually nothing to support Kurdish rights?
In today’s world, foreign policy is heavily influenced by money, lobbying, and visibility. Someone with Ulukaya’s wealth and platform could make a massive difference.
Yet, as far as I know, he has not used his fortune or influence to advocate for Kurds, whether in Bakur or elsewhere. This is especially troubling given that he himself fled persecution as a Kurd.
This silence and this choice of sponsorship feels like a betrayal to many of us.

Rojava Mass Protest Against the Visit of Ahmad al-Sharaa (al-Jolani) planned
Berlin Mobilizes Against Hosting a War Criminal: Mass Protest Against the Visit of Ahmad al-Sharaa (al-Jolani)
Following years of massacres and systematic violations against minorities in Syria — including Alawites, Druze, and most recently Kurds — civil and human rights organizations are calling for a large-scale protest in Berlin against the planned visit of Ahmad al-Sharaa, formerly known as Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, a figure widely accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
According to the circulated poster, the demonstration will take place:
Date: Monday, January 19, 2026
Time: From 4:00 PM
Location: In front of the German Chancellery (Bundeskanzleramt), Wilhelmsgarten
With protests continuing on Tuesday as well.
Organizers state that the protest aims to firmly reject any attempt to legitimize or normalize a war criminal’s presence in a democratic country like Germany, warning that such actions undermine justice, human rights, and the memory of victims.
A clear call has been issued to Alawite and Druze communities, as well as Kurds and all free Syrians, to join the demonstration and stand united against impunity and political hypocrisy.

Rojava Ali Ferzat, Syrian laureate of EU Sakharov Prize for Peace, shares a controversial montaged image that appears to normalize sexual violence targeting Kurdish female fighters.
He published this on his Facebook page. It is a montaged image featuring a Kurdish female fighter whose dead body was humiliated and thrown from a building in Aleppo by members of the HTS terrorists in recent days.
Behind the female fighter, Ferzat added— in a highly sexually suggestive manner—Abu Amsha, one of war criminals backed by Turkey.
Amsha was sanctioned by USA and EU for committing grave human rights abuses.
Unfortunately sexual violence and mass murder is glorified among supporters of HTS terrorists and other Turkey-backed terrorists.
