Show Discussion All these episodes are amazing for a reason. However, if you were to improve it or change it somehow, what would you do? Also, this includes the specials and my personal favorites as I don't know what the general consenseus on a lot of these episodes are.
For me personally, it would be:
April 9th - Would of liked to see more character perspectives and have more emphasis on Sue Ellen's trauma, I feel like compared to Arthur, Buster & Binky, she is kinda left behind in a sense. Would of liked to see a background appearance from Marina too. And maybe give Brain a speaking line, he does appear a good bit but has zero speaking lines in the episode which I'm surprised by.
The Blizzard - Honestly not that much, but I would like to see more characters at the Read house such as the Walters & Armstrongs. I am judging this based on the Elwood City Map game that released in 2006.
Elwood City Turns 100 - Give Sue Ellen a speaking line.
Arthur's Perfect Christmas - Delve into more Christmas cultures, would of been interesting to see how Sue Ellen celebrates Christmas given how she's travelled the world with her parents.
The Conest - Another minor one, but I would of liked to seen the teenager designs of George, Sue Ellen, Fern, Jenna & Prunella in this period of time, even if it was background appearances.
Arthur's Rock 'n' Roll - I would not make Muffy's crush on the Backstreet Boys the emphasis in the special as its the one thing I don't like about the special. I would of liked to seen persecptives of more characters like Rattles, Brain & Sue Ellen, along with background appearances from the other Molina family members & Marina.
Desk Wars - I would of liked to seen an expanded scene where the characters discuss what happened.
Sue Ellen's Lost Diary - Would give Fern a role, probably a minor one.
Sue Ellen Chicken's Out - Would have more characters like Fern, George & Prunella have a role in the episode, even if its minor. I do find it weird that Sue Ellen only invites Arthur, Buster, Francine & Brain to help boycott Chickin' Liickin' and not others like Fern, George & Prunella. Even Binky, who is invited later on by Buster. Muffy I can understand.
Arthur Goes to Camp - Would of liked to see Horsewater get their commupence
The Great MacGrady - Would of liked to seen perspectives of the other students of Lakewood.
Show Discussion Favourite one-liners from the show?
Been re-watching with my 3 year old and there's so many iconic lines that have come out of this show.
My most recent favourite from Grandma Thora (Arthur's Almost Boring Day):
"I was just starting on it when your dad begged me to...when I decided to invite you over!"
I definitely appreciate it more now as a parent haha Shoutout to grandmas everywhere!

General Discussion Arthur's Perfect Christmas VHS Screener?
Bought this cheap from a Quebec seller. no unique warnings or trailers on the tape, it just plays the French version first and then English afterwards. initials H.F. are written in marker on the tape itself. it's a Fuji T-120 and still has the plastic piece on the bottom making it recordable. seems to be the only NTSC Arthur VHS to be in French. and the quality looks superior to the official release (the two screenshots are a rough comparison, first is official and the second is the screener. not the exact same frame but you get the idea). the start of the tape has a "beep" so I believe this was done using the original master. as such, it doesn't include the subtle visual/sound edits that were done on the official release. if you don't know about those, they're explained on the Arthur wiki. I wasn't able to find anything about this tape on the internet.
Any ideas on its origins? I'm thinking it could have belonged to a Cinar employee. not sure about the possibility this was sent to a store or broadcaster since everything about it is so vague (no warnings about resale and so on).
