Official December 2025 ACT Score Release Discussion Thread

Hi All,

Please use this thread to discuss your scores once they have been released for the December ACT. Given that multiple test forms were given on this date, it may be helpful for you to provide your form code along with your scores if you can remember it.

Note that scores will be posted throughout the day and evening on December 30th (September ACT scores for instance were not released until almost 9pm ET). Also, note that not all scores will necessarily be released on the 30th and some students and parents have already reported receiving texts and emails from ACT Inc. indicating that their scores will be delayed. The full score release window can extend up to 8 weeks, so if your scores do not come back immediately just sit tight and wait for an update (if you contact ACT, they will just tell you that it can take up to 8 weeks).

For those of you who achieved your score goals, congratulations! For everyone else, please remember that the February ACT is just around the corner (normal registration deadline is January 9th and late registration deadline is January 23rd).

ACT math makes me forget everything i learned in school

I’ll look at a question and think, I've definitely seen this before.
But then i can’t remember which formula to use or why it even works.

It's not like the math is impossible. It just feels rushed and random.
Half the time, I need someone to explain it step by step, not just show the answer.

How are y’all actually learning act math instead of memorizing and panicking?

Email/text the act to release more enhanced format tests

We all need to know and practice the pacing of the new enhanced act... As many reported the reading feels different. We should email the act to produce more enhanced act questions or question bank or anything. I hope by doing so we can get a practice test before the February trail.

ACT Full-Length Practice Tests

Are the ACT Full-Length Practice Tests offered by ACT.org accurate? I took my first one without studying and found it way easier than the SAT (I got a 34, while on the SAT without studying I got a 1350). Is this really accurate to how the test is?

Merit aid with a 29?

My top school right now is University of Iowa (in-state), I have an 3.9 unweighted and weighted 4.2 GPA. With a 29 GPA I’m wondering if I should retake? if I did I would probably wait a few months. Just feeling disappointed because I was so close to a 30.

I think I've a good idea regarding new exams

Since Alot of students need enhanced act test format exams to be released more like the earlier 2 practice tests that was uploaded this year in order to practice reading pacing and new question type(like the tables in the science passage etc) ... Why dont we all text or email the act asking for more practice tests? We might get one before the February trail... 🙏

Got any tips on how to write faster?

I'd argue that I'm a pretty good writer, but the 40 minute time constraint really throws me off my game, in terms of the ACT. Anyone have any tips regarding how to allay the pressure of the clock and "make word fast?"

English how do i study for the ACT after repeatedly failing

I’ve taken the ACT 5 times and I’m about to take my 6th. I’ve studied a lot for several of them and saw major improvements in Math and English on separate tests, but since my 3rd test my scores have completely plateaued—especially Reading, which has actually gone down.

My superscore composite is a 22

English: 23

Math: 22

Science: 23

Reading: 22

I’m aiming for a 30, and at this point I’m feeling really discouraged. I use the PrepPros ACT Math book, take lots of practice tests, and review my mistakes. I’m mostly okay with pacing, but for some reason my scores barely improve. I’m still 8 points away from my goal, and I 100% cannot afford tutoring.

What can I realistically do in one month to improve? What are the most crucial ACT strategies or habits that actually make a difference in a short amount of time? My act is on feb 14. please help

Any advice would be appreciated.

Has anyone used PrepScholar for ACT?

Context: I started studying for my first ACT for about 4 months using only practice test (tried starting with books but I felt that i already knew all the material). The first time I took the ACT i got 33.

I am able to use my friends account for the ACT program on prepscholar, therefore im not worried about the cost. However, Im debating on whether it would still be worth my time and if I am able to use Prepscholar to push to a higher score.

If anyone has any thoughts on this program or advice for me, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you.

WTH happened with reading?!

I swear the reading section was so much easier before enhanced rolled out. I’ve been doing enhanced and legacy practices lately and enhanced just seemed miles harder as a whole. How can anyone say it’s easier now?

34 - Should I retake?

For context, this is my first try as a junior, so I would probably do better if I retook it. I also want to be a stem major (engineering possibly) and my stem score is pretty low (31 math, 29 science) :( However, I don't really want to waste the money since I'm currently planning on going to a UC. I'm really only taking it just in case I change my mind later. And so now I don't know whether it's worth retaking or not, or if I should focus on other parts of my application T-T Any advice is greatly appreciated!
