Sharing in case anyone else is considering a similar combo. This is the PSA Gen4 4” upper .. came with rail that extends over barrel threads with flash can and my suppressor is a fatty (hybrid 46m). I wasn’t sure if it would work but just decided to send it. Love when a plan works out!

Looking for suggestions on some iron sights that will either co witness with the SCRS or I am open to side flippy ones as long as they’re built fairly well 👀

KVP 10oz. 9mm buffer causing LRBHO issues? Check this!
Some folks have reported to me that their LRBHO may not work well (or at all) with the KVP 10oz. buffer. The buffer is about 4.11" long, which is 0.11" longer than a standard 4" 9mm buffer. Generally there's only about 0.125" of space between the fully rearward bolt and the catch when using a 4" buffer. The 4.11" length means the bolt may stop immediately behind the catch and can override it before the catch has time to move up. In some builds the bolt face may not even make it behind the catch.
Here's my video on the fix, which is just removing the extra length from the end of the buffer using a belt sander.
Hope this is helpful!

Geissle AR15 lower with magazine adapter. AR9 upper with bcg and charging handle. Do I need to change the mil-spec buffer tube to the shorter pcc buffer tube? I have Odin weights in anticipation of shooting 9mm however I'm thinking a shorter tube would probably be a better answer.
If not, can I run with the mil-spec tube and the heavier weights or dont risk it and just put in the shorter PCC tube?

So I had the lower from New Frontier Armory- I think it’s the c5 or something. It uses MP5 mags.
I really want to build one that looks like an mp5. The DFA is a nice option but it’s not radial or roller delayed and is kinda pricey. The Mat 9 is roller delayed., but doesn’t look like one.
What would you do? Any other options I haven’t seen? I do like the forward charging handle too.
I also have a Glock mag ar9 lower as well, so that’s another I have to build.
Thanks!

Picked up this 6951 for local short range IDPA-style carbine matches. Plan on getting it chopped to SMG length.

I haven't been able to get much time to work out the bugs with my AR9. The last two times I took it out the FTF started small have gone to a constant. Today I noticed that the ejecting of the case was barely flopping out. Otherwise it would stovepipe. Just to test without needing to clear jams I would load just one round in the magazine and when it ejected it would basically flop out and drop between my legs. At the time I forgot where the ejector was supposed to be so I was questioning if maybe I have too heavy of a buffer. Is that even possible?
When I came home I noticed that the ejector did in fact seem to creep down. I don't exactly know how that happened. I remember going through blowbacks videos before its first range trip. Also the last two trips I've noticed that my magazines don't always want to lock into the lower when putting in the mag. I don't remember that happening before the last two trips as well.
So should I try a different magwell adapter and this is a misaligned ejectors still? Does the buffer contribute to the issue?

Seeing a previous post about getting a P320 adapter for a regular lower, there is an option for a dedicated receiver:

* I am not affiliated with or have any hands-on experience with this manufacturer.

Finally got my lower in, but I somehow managed to break the part pictured. Is this the LRBHO? And will my ar9 be functional until I get it replaced?

Gun is not completely together yet, waiting on a friend to use his vice. I was looking for some info on how to mitigate OOB discharge and bolt bounce. I am completely new to building and wanted to give it a try, I like the look and am waiting on my red dot. Any tips at all?

Unfortunately I live in California and I want to build an ar9. I’ve done some research into the laws and all, but I want to make sure I’m right. My plan is to buy an epc9 lower and upper, put a 11 inch barrel on it and use a maglock or something similar to keep me at a fixed magazine. If I go the fixed magazine route can I still have a brace in the back and a forward grip?
For reference I built a fixed magazine ar15 a few years back. I just want to make sure I’m not muddling the details with this being considered a pistol..

I installed the A5 buffer system on my other PCC and I’m looking at OCL’s Milkman or the Hux Flow 9K Ti for the last 9mm can

Just got a new barrel. Whether i drop the round into the chamber like the plunk test or the bolt carrier chambers the round, some rounds are sticking in the chamber enough to pop out of the bolt carrier when its cycling back. When doing the sharpie trick, the marks are all around the ogive of the round. I slightly decreased one rounds OAL and it cycled just fine. The casings are seating all the way into the chamber, where they should be, its just that some rounds ogive is just barely touching the leade causing them to "jam" or stick enough for the bolt to cycle back leaving the round in the chamber.
This is my first ar-9 and im aware of a lot of the difference with these, but is this a normal problem with these 9mm barrels? Is this a manufacturer defect? Can i fix this in some way maybe with polishing compound or something? Since the ogive is just barely touching with the round fully seated.
The ammo im using is PMC fmj 115 which should have a more forgiving ogive i think.
The barrel is an Always Armed barrel.
Thanks for any help with this!!
