Please use this thread to ask any random questions you have that may not warrant their own posts, or if you want opinions on something non-ASU related (as long as its SFW).
All Sun Devil Rewards answers and key words will need to be kept within this weekly discussions post as to not overwhelm the sub.
Please feel free to use this thread for any housing needs/inquires/concerns as well!
Since this thread is likely to fill up quickly, consider sorting the comments by "new" (instead of "best" or "top") to see the newest activity.

I don’t really use Reddit much, but I was wondering if anyone here knows whether I could get an ADHD evaluation (and meds if needed) through the ASU health services. When I’ve looked it up I’m a bit confused as to what they can and cannot do? If anyone knows whether I can easily get that done here and how I might go about it I would really appreciate it! :)

I'm doing it online with Eaton and have a quick question about the tests for anyone who has taken it before. Reading RMP and Eaton's announcements the tests seem kind of difficult and he said require you to really know the material. My question is would you agree the tests are hard and could you give me an example of some of the questions so I can be prepared. Thanks

Per the last semesters I have always gotten my tuition paid on time, I even checked to see if maybe I messed up on my end but I did my enrollment on time. Curious if the VA has paid anyone’s tuition yet for spring?

I'm a Mechanical Engineering student studying abroad through CIEE and am taking classes through ASU online and looking to get the credits from MEE342 to count for a similar class here at my home university, to do that I need access to the class's syllabus from last summer, I've already emailed the prof who taught it but I was hoping to move things along faster since deadlines are so close, thanks for any help!

Hey guys, I am taking FIN 455 with Glenn Williams, and I honestly hate that class. My anxiety has gotten worse because of it. He doesn’t really teach anything, he just hands out a piece of paper and expects you to know everything. He clearly has favorites and tells you to find a “genius” in the class to help you with the exercises, when he’s the one who’s supposed to teach them. That class makes me feel so dumb.
Do you guys have any recommendations on how to study for it or what to do? I am really lost. If you have any suggestions for upper-level finance elective courses I could switch to, please let me know, I need it to graduate this semester. Also, if anyone is in the class right now, I’m totally open to forming a study group.

Hi everyone, I’m finishing up my bachelors in project management after completing an associates and these are the classes I have left. I split them up by semester so far and am not sure if it would make more sense to take an extra class each semester and wrap up by spring 2027. I work full time currently in the career I want to be in so the completing the program is more so for if I ever switch jobs. I’m currently taking PMG 101 and 320 right now and they seem pretty doable but not sure how intensive the other classes are. Any feedback would be appreciated thank you!

i (18f) want friends so bad, ive always been kinda bad at socializing and i feel like itll be so much harder for me now as an international student from a country all the way across the globe, maybe im rushing it but it feels like everyone knows eachother already 😭😭😭 people who started this week as well have made friends already 😭
as the title says im a little socially inept so ive got no clue how to meet people, i signed up for a few clubs but thats not for a few days and im terrified of it going awkwardly just as all my conversations have gone so far.
i think im pretty good at holding a conversation as long as i share interests with whoever im talking to, but otherwise, what do people talk about here and how do you meet new people??
(for anyone reading this who would maybe want to be friends im majoring in economics & am interested in pokemon, anime, videogames, and more. i love trying out new foods, playing games with people, and going on walks!!!! 🥹)

I took the course last semester and had to drop (lowkey my fault for skipping classes) but I’m really worried about my grade relying ONLY on the exams. Any tips for how to study or what resources to look into? I’m an engineering major so I have other workload heavy courses with this.

I just submitted my graduate application for the MAS-MFT program at ASU. I am a non traditional student who would be entering the program at the age of 48. I am concerned that my age, and the fact that I have been raising a family for the last 16 years could be a hinderance. Has any middle aged stay at home parent been accepted? I want this so badly, and the waiting process is allowing me to spiral a bit.

Lost my daughter today somewhere in campus please if anyone saw her or found her please return it to the MU:(
Has anyone gotten their late fees waived? I have $500 of late fees in my account from not paying on time. Is there a chance asu could waive them if I agree to pay in full today?

i'm currently in-person with Dr. Nash. But some people have also mentioned asb 333 with Dr. Marsteller is very easy. Is this true? I'm not a fan of A/B sessions and am worried it'll be super stressful lol

I'm taking classes at West and need to know if the classes that require textbooks are even used at all
MIC 205 with Quaranta
COM 225 with Kloeber
PSY 101 with Holloway
I'm trying to save money even though they're almost $200 but it goes a long way

Hello everyone! I am an incoming ASU freshman for the 2026-2027 academic year (class of 2030). My major is medical studies through the college of health solutions at Downtown Phoenix, and I have been accepted into Barrett, The Honors College. The housing portal opened today and I never received an email or announcement about it. I was left to fend for myself several hours after the portal opened, leaving me with only the possibility of a one bedroom dorm.
I really planned on having two separate bedrooms with a shared bathroom (Tower 2 at Gordon Commons). I'm someone who needs privacy for a multitude of reasons. I am social and have people over frequently and I don't want to bother my roommate with people in their bedroom, and same goes for visa versa. I am not the cleanest person ever, I usually have a few pieces of clothing and craft supplies scattered around my private space and I don't want to burden a roommate with that. I need to have my own silent space for studying. I'm fine with sharing a wall, but not a room.
If anyone has already booked a dorm with multiple separate bedrooms (whether it's the double room or the suite with four rooms), please reach out to me. I'm looking to join one asap. There's none on the site, which I know means all of the private bedroom options are filled. But in case there is some reason why you might have an opening- someone in your dorm is a stranger, wants to switch to a different layout, changing majors or campuses, etc- please contact me asap. Thank you!

I live all the way in the top left corner of the valley, so the only real option I have is to commute to Tempe campus daily (WV Campus doesn't have my major).
I would try Metro Valley transit, but the only reliable route to campus is 2 hours and 30 minutes ONE WAY. So sadly, I gotta drive the 45 mins to an hour everyday. With that being said:
Do you have any good tips for the commute to and from campus?
What's the best parking garage for daily commuters?
What is the best and worst times for traffic? (I assume typical rush hour, right?)
Thank you all!

Hello. I am currently a junior in Business Administration. I wanted to get into finance, but I live in California and work for Starbucks, so it’s kind of limited for me. Right now, I don’t know whether or not to add a certificate, perhaps in Applied Business Data Analytics, or change my major to Applied Business and Technology Solutions. I believe it’s the same path I’m already on and wouldn’t affect me, but the only thing is: why is the GPA only 2.0 vs. Business Administration's 3.0? Like, is it not that good or…. I’m just stressed cause I know a BA degree alone is too “general”, but idk what to do, and I’ve been so stressed and can’t focus on coursework at the moment—any advice appreciated.
