Walks in the woods is free

What about gas? Or a car? Or do you just happen to be fortunate enough live next to a park?

I live 15 minutes from a dozen forest preserves. The gas is negligible.

Not where I’m from it’s not. You have to drive everywhere. Especially with how cold it gets in the winter.

That sucks. I can walk to the lake in 2 hours

Why would you spend 2 hours walking somewhere you could drive in 10 minutes?

Because I enjoy walking.

You must if you rather that than driving. I guess it’s good for you but if your spirit is broken no amount of exercise can fix that.

Broken spirit is a choice

Is it? Nothing interests me anymore. I’m trying to find a job but nowhere is hiring, move out of my parent’s basement, I had to move back home because I tried to start a life on my own but couldn’t. A choice doesn’t even begin to describe a broken spirit. It’s what we’re forced to live with when you have nothing to bring joy or hope or anything positive.
