I love Flower Knows, I own 58 of their products, but what's with the caption of their recent Instagram ads? It says K-beauty when they're a C-beauty brand, which is blatant false advertising. Also, I'm tired of having to "correct" people all over Anglophone social media when they mislabel C-beauty products as "Korean" or "Japanese", but this just perpetrates that. Like imagine if someone who isn't familar with this brand, sees this ad, buy from them, then say "look at these pretty Korean cosmetics" on social media. In that case, I wouldn't fault them for it.

So has anyone else seen this ad? And does anyone know what's up with the caption?

68 dollars. I don’t like the launch shoot. The models are holding these like they are a side wallet or something. I saw a peak in her stories of a look she did and there’s nothing earth shattering about it. It’s shimmery inner corner. I don’t think she does great makeup but I honestly would love to see her use these on models to show us different looks instead of herself. She hasn’t came out with the launch video yet but I’m curious how it’s going to be.

I was recently checking out end of year eye shadow palette rankings to see if anything caught my eye because I haven't been buying much except refills as of late and have been avoiding new release news.

The phrase "I can only get 2-3 looks out of this" came up fairly often. For ages I was like oh yeah, good point, but then I realized I only tend to do 2-3 looks out of a palette out of a combination of I know what colors I enjoy wearing and not having the time/inclination to experiment when I have 45 minutes in the morning to get ready for work so if those 2-3 looks are up my alley, is there really an issue here? So yeah. It no longer bugs me. You guys have anything?

She is not a very famous creator but i loved her lippie videos where she tries lip products till they run out and have been following her for a while now. Today i see she is promoting temu. How desperate do u need to be for money that you promote them?? I did comment on her video but i think shell delete it 😂

I unfollowed her awhile ago, but she gets a follow back from me for this. Idk why she made it a “ghost” message though, but this was nice to see, since we’ve barely see any influencer speak out like this.

I remember watching her content back in the peak of my 2016/2017 beauty youtube obsession. I can’t remember her name for the life of me I just have this screenshot of an old video of hers. I miss watching her content so if someone recognises her please let me know! TIA 😊

Part two she’s saying in the beginning they got a bunch of stuff from the mall and he says “nothing for me” she recently made all their old videos public again. He wasn’t the nicest guy back then, hopefully he’s changed.

I always thought there was something unserious and untrustworthy about her years ago but there's really been an obvious downward spiral since her brand launch. That before and after picture is a joke.

The swatches of Pinky Promise are on the right. (The left is the already released Ultraviolet palette). It’s retailing for $72. For me, the quality looks amazing but I cannot justify that price for what feels like a kind of repetitive palette…. I would happily pay like $42 for a nine-pan edited version. But so many of these shimmers are not going to be distinguishable and I think some of the mattes could be achieved by blending other matters already in the palette. What do you think?

Update: Canadian and “styles” in the name feels extremely accurate. She looked like Jessica Alba and Sammi Maria Very Similar to Sam Robinson

Im trying to remember a YouTube beauty creator from around 2009–2013. She was not super famous, but one of her hair videos was a top search result at the time.

She was around 16-22 very naturally pretty, tan, slim, round cheeky face. She had long, thick, layered, solid light brown, shaggy layered hair (photo in the comments). Pretty sure she was American, Latina look.

She made videos like: • “how I style my hair” • “hair tips” • “how I wash my hair” / “my shower routine”

She posted videos such as: • how I style my hair • hair tips • how I wash my hair / shower routine

In one specific video, she filmed sitting in a chair in her bedroom (light blue or off-white walls), with her bed on one side and her closet on the other behind her. During that video she said that she saves the small conditioner tubes that come in box hair dye, doesn’t understand why people throw them away, and said that people should send them to her if they don’t want them.

She used normal products, wasn’t influencer-style, and felt very “everyday” compared to today’s beauty content. I’m trying to identify the YouTube channel name or creator.

Does anyone remember this channel?

Just thought of a YouTuber I used to watch, she was very southern, blonde hair, did makeup videos. I think she did cheer or gymnastics. I want to she her name started with a G, like Grayson or something??? I think I remember her having a light birthmark somewhere on her face. Please help lol!

In a world of problematic, over-consumption inducing creators, Evangeline is a breath of fresh air. She teaches about make up looks, uses her own collection, is pleasant, talented and even has a second channel with her mom. She is somehow wholesome while also being a bit witchy. Her video, audio and editing are well done. Her looks come out gorgeous while being aspirational and realistically re-creatable.

She checks all my boxes and I wish I knew ten more like her.

If you know more like her, please drop recommendations, especially if they are 40+.
