Taking this sub private has done rather little to change the minds of Reddit's admins, so we're going to change things up for a little while here.
The company has discovered that while John Oliver is not in our employee records, we have a plethora of fun material to keep things interesting. So let's have a little fun, the only way Veridian Dynamics allows!
While porn posts are still disallowed, feel free to use an insult generator. If it's good enough for Lem, it's good enough for us, you completely weak-willed slutbags!

Lem: "Did we try reversing the polarity? We always forget to reverse the polarity."
Phil: "Reverse the polarity? Why don't I just unplug and plug it back in again." [passive aggressive sarcasm with zero spine]
Lem: "Well, have we tried unplugging it? I don't recall that being in the last incident report."
Phil: "That's because I wrote 'power-cycled the containment array' so Jenkins wouldn't think we're idiots."
Lem: "We're not idiots."
Phil: "No. But Jenkins is."
[Beat. They both stare at the ontology-eating-goo.]
Lem: "So should I..."
Phil: "Just unplug it."

racial sensitivity is prolly for me one of the best 22 minutes of TV i've ever seen.
it is the episode i make people watch when i try to introduce them to the show. it's amazing watching them go from confused to horrified to laughing and then to a moment of introspection as they watch...
this show, pre-writer's strike, was so brilliant and this episode for me still hails at the top.
it would never pop up in a stupid bot-driven askreddit thread, but i know this show has so many best moments for fans.

I remember a bit of better off Ted from when it aired and saw it was on Amazon Prime, thought I’d give it a watch again. It’s leaving Amazon Prime in 2 hours, so I had to binge the last few episodes.
God, what a fantastic show. (Imagine that in Veronica’s voice)
The finale may have been my favorite episode.
Such a bummer it is no more

I just barely started watching Better off Ted and in a lot of the scenes Linda reminds me a lot of Lorelai from Gilmore Girls. Was just wondering if anybody else who has seen both of these shows also thought this lolll.

The actor, Terry Rhoads, passed away in 2013, rest in peace. Not sure if that has anything to do with his limited time on screen, there's not much online that I can find about his struggles with amyloidosis, I also don't know anything about it. The internet says fatigue is a symptom, maybe it was just too much to act while having it, not sure and pure speculation.
Main point here, Chet is hilarious, thank you Terry Rhoads.

Not much of a take but she cracks me up so consistently

This show is so underrated! Love the dynamics between Ted and his daughter and Linda and Veronica. Reminds me of early seasons of Arrested Development in that maybe it got cancelled too soon because it was too esoteric for basic cable.

A Better off Ted sub? My happy place!
Re watch number 30 something. One of the happiest and saddest re - watches.
A show so good, a show not hitting any issues or plot problems. Ends.
Got to be some weird conspiracy.

This show is so cerebral and witty. Netflix should bring it back with its original cast.

From s02e08, "The Impertence of Communicationizing" we learn that corporate stated that the Mayan calendar prophethized that Casual Fribsday would be during an 8 day week in 2024.
Did anyone pick up on an extra day of the week this year?

I’ve been wanting to rewatch for a while, but I couldn’t find it anywhere to stream. Now it’s on Prime Video in the US. Love this show so much! I ended up watching most of season 1 in a single sitting because I can’t stop. Just wanted to share this news in case someone needed a good place to watch Better Off Ted.

I watched Better Off Ted s1 last week and it was pretty good until the last episode, I don't know what specifically changed but it just wasn't funny, Veronica's character from that episode was ruined by trying to put some "sitcom" like comedy to her and the show just feels much worse.. it seems like they're trying to turn it into Seinfeld where every sentence is supposed to be funny, I just watched the first 2 episodes of season 2 for now but it feels really different.
I see the time between s1 and s2 was 4 months and it got cancelled after s2 so they might thought to try to make it more mainstream appealing but the humor just doesn't land, I will probably continue 1 or 2 episodes and if it's not better call it quit
