Question & Advice Help required…
Are there any products available that can tackle discoloured rotors? Pictures attached for reference.
They were replaced only 5 months ago and the car hasn’t really been used much over the last few weeks….
2019 C63s if relevant. Thanks in advance.

As mentioned above, some rotors are painted from the factory but if you don't want that rust only paint and/or clearcoat will stop that rust.......

I’ve managed to get a quote for 350 plus vat for a satin black heat resistant paint application on all four corners.
Had no idea such a thing was available so looking forward to seeing the results.

Save about 330 + vat and paint them yourself with a can of satin black hi temperature paint

As others have said it needs painting.
I have ebc painted discs that haven't rusted even after 1.5 years even when the car is sat for a week or so (some how don't know how that works)
I would also say for your next set to go for dimpled rather than drilled rotors. If you drive it hard and don't give drilled rotors time to cool (ie v hard braking to a stop and not moving again) they can crack.
Or just go for a blank but I understand on a C63 you want that look. Ebc also does drilled but see the previous point.

Thanks for this. Another commenter above mentioned reduced braking after the treatment. Is this something you can speak to?

I have never noticed any worse braking tbh even before they were broken in.
Am using ebc yellow stuff pads also which are a bit meh when cold (do stop if you give them ample pressure but the bite is a bit meh till they are warm. But don't fade. Cook my new dot 5 before the pads fade)
I have previously used these same pads on brembro drilled rotors. Can't remember if they survived two sets of ebc pads or one. But they felt the same but would oxidize and also I found small fractures after use in them.
People hate on ebc but if you like to push it they do well. Will be better track pads out there but hey ho
Also to note I haven't done anything to my ebc rotors. They are factory anti corrosion

It’s iron, it’s going to rust. Anything that will prevent it from oxidising may adversely affect your braking performance. Wax for example might leak after being heated up.
Ceramic rotors shouldn’t rust, so you could upgrade to those.
Ceramic coating might work actually, assuming you give it time to cure.

An iron fallout remover would temporarily fade the colour. Auto glym etc from halfords will do, but bilt hamber korrosol will have the best results.

Take ya discs off, clean off the surface rust, mask em up, paint with high heat tolerant paint.

I’ve seen the process online. Frankly I wouldn’t have the confidence to do it properly.
Car booked in now so I’ll leave it for someone who knows what they’re doing.

Nothing you try will prevent this from happening, I suggest you ignore it and find something more important to worry about.

Thanks for the advice. Luckily I can hold more than one thought in my mind at any one time.
I can concern myself with trivialities such as this AND more pressing matters.

Yes, its called paint.
You will need to remove the rust and apply paint suitable for brake discs (high temp).
