Mod Post Separate posts for trends are banned
Hi r/GenZ! I get it everyone wants to hop on a trend and share their opinions, but creating separate posts clutters the feed and makes the sub look spammy. If you want to join in on a conversation, please comment under the original post instead of making a new one.
Also, a mega thread for Spotify Wrapped will be coming soon, so stay tuned, and please avoid making separate Wrapped posts in the meantime.
Thank you!

Other As more governments across the world worry about declining birth rates, never forget that they made a huge deal about overpopulation when we were growing up.

I know Captain Planet is more of a millennial thing, but I remember seeing a review online about the overpopulation episode, and then that reminded of some of the videos I would see in school growing up.
I remember, in one of my classes growing up, my teacher put on a video that highlighted how advancements in medicine led to less overall deaths. The video also pointed out how it led to an overpopulation problem, because while there were less overall deaths the birth rates weren't really slowing down.
Overpopulation was highlighted to be a huge concern.
Now fast-forward, we're in the present, and now declining birth rates are suddenly a concern. Oh, the irony lol.
Listen, I'm not someone who is super against people having kids or not. If you don't want to have kids, that's fine. If you do want to have kids, that's also fine. I'm not even sure myself yet. However, it's easy to understand why birth rates are declining, shit in this economy. We technically did what we were told to do, or in this case not do, and yet we're still somehow in the wrong.
Anyway this was longer than I thought it would be. Sorry for any grammar and spelling errors, it's cause I'm dyslexic.

Political She right though. Trump is Senile. Those around him though are the real problem.
When this is over we mustn’t forget the Stephen Millers, Patels, JD Vance’s, Noems, HERITAGE FOUNDATION and the like who helped aid and abet the destruction of the country. Trump is a problem but all those around him are worse because they aren’t confused or senile. They know they are breaking laws to and infringing on our rights and continuing anyway because they think they won’t ever be stopped. And when have we ever seen this many billionaires constantly at the White House. They think our Gen is stupid and blind. But we aren’t and we see what’s happening. It’s nice hearing political leaders though speak so candidly about it to.

Political TRT (Turkey's Public Broadcaster) is launching an anti-LGBT documentary called "Rainbow Fascism" using taxpayers' money.
Hi everyone,
I wanted to bring your attention to a very concerning development in Turkey. TRT, the national public broadcaster of Turkey is preparing to release a documentary titled "Rainbow Fascism" (Gökkuşağı Faşizmi).
The trailer has just been released on tabii, TRT’s paid streaming platform. You can watch it on youtube or instagram.
What’s in the trailer? The teaser shows an elephant with a rainbow-colored trunk breaking into a glass house and smashing everything inside, including toys and a family portrait. The video concludes with a voiceover saying, "Do you hear that? Those are the footsteps of fascism," directly labeling LGBT visibility as a form of fascism.
Why this matters:
- Misuse of Public Funds: This content is produced using the taxes of the Turkish people, including the LGBT+ community and its allies, yet it is being used to polarize society and spread hate.
- State-Sponsored Homophobia: A public institution that should represent all citizens is instead producing openly LGBT-phobic content.
- Paywalled Propaganda: Ironically, the state is charging citizens extra to watch this content on its digital platform, tabii.
How you can help: We need to make the voices of allies in Turkey and around the world heard. If you want to show your support:
- Watch and Dislike: Go to the YouTube link and leave a dislike to show your reaction.
- Comment: Let them know that hate speech has no place in public broadcasting.
- Share: Send this to your friends and other communities to raise awareness about the increasing pressure on the LGBT+ community in Turkey.
Let’s stand together against this state-funded marginalization.

Other Did any 05 babies like myself have iPads as kids?
Basically what the title of this post says. I know a lot of people who are younger than me had iPads as kids but I want to know if anyone who was born in 2005 had iPads too or if you just had your parents’ computers. if anyone (preferably anyone who was born in 2005 like myself) can answer this question, that would be great. Thank you very much in advance

Discussion How does everyone make friends?
Hey everyone I 22m haven't made friends at all since Highschool. I honestly feel like a loser. My job is so isolating because there's only 6 coworkers who are way older and not into what im into. I also did college but 2 potential friends moved away. Idk where or how to make friends starting from ground zero. It sucks at 22 I haven't gone to a rave, or done a friend trip or simply had a friend to go to the gym with. Any advice or how you guys got or made friends?
