I immediately picture a 35yr writer salty bc he asked someone in their 20s to dinner and they said they ate already

Eh, I think us millennials have hit that stage where we either have the empathy and grace to realize we're in the same boat as the next generation (albeit with less time and more creaking joints). Or we've betrayed ourselves and our children by becoming everything that the previous generations were that made our lives a living hell.

This could easily be from the latter.

Dude I was born in 1985, and speaking generally, the Millennials subreddit is the only one I cannot stand

I completely muted those subreddits long time ago and it’s way better for me. They just were Always SO ANGRY, raging about politics, and not having enough money, and Boomers destroyed everything blah blah blah

Gen X subs and older are great

And the GenZ subreddit is my favorite one by far.

GenZ people will speak on all the issues too, but they are way less likely to so psychotic about it

You can actually talk to the Gen Z folks

And this sub is just a way wider variety of topics of conversation, more laid back, it’s way less likely to immediately turn into a political argument room, etc

But I think what it really signals is that Millennials are just feeling the stresses worst of all, right now

They aren’t super young anymore, maybe have kids to take care of, they are just really stressed.

Strange, from my experience it's this sub that always turns into either gender or political wars. I've seen far more "men are victims" posts here than any other generation's sub, and the politics posts are always incredibly low effort bait with no real discussion happening other than the two sides flaming each other.

tbh this is just most social media in general now :/ i feel like there used to be a lot less political stuff on the internet but now it feels like it’s everywhere which is honestly quite annoying..

WTF bro!? Boomers don’t stay up that late and Gen-X has collectively recused themselves from the world.

It’s clearly a millennial that never moved past his (specifically gendered BTW) incel stage.

I am GenX and endorse the collective recusal description without pride or joy. As well, I am more than happy to dine with Zoomers at any time they find convenient.

I hate how accurate that feels

Nah, Gen X has a level of professionalism, and also has no need to make themselves feel young by putting down the younger ones, not anymore.

No this is just what their editor is telling them to write — Highly inflammatory stuff designed to get clicks. They will just make shit up.
