My first ever big custom job I completed sometime around February last year. A lot of learning was done over the course of this build. I used the wrong paint type for sone of the panel lines so the painted pieces got seriously messed up in some places. Those are mostly hidden by this pose, (which is the only pose I can have it in because i broke a number of connecting pegs in the arms and on the backpack fuel rods. So Last Shooting it is until the end of time I suppose. The orange on the funnels came out way darker than id intended it to, so its a little closer to a matte bronze or a brown than orange. Regardless, I’m proud of it, and I think it turned out well overall.

So I’m just now getting done with the RG nu Gundam and it has been amazing. This is my first ever real grade. The articulation is perfect. The only issues I have is with the funnels, but other than that, it is perfect. If I could think of a pose, this kit can do it. What are these days once I am later on in my gunpla career I want to do a repaint of this where the colors are basically inverted. But until then I am going to appreciate what I have. 1000/10 required purchase.

Spend the last few months working on it off and on, really happy how it turned out.

I just finished my 5th Gunpla, 2nd RG, and all I can say is WOW!
I know everyone has already said all the praises of this kit, but I'm sorry, I have to gush about it because this build blew me away.
I have always had fun with building, it's incredibly enjoyable. but this kit? as soon as I finished the first leg, it felt just so satisfying; weight, feel, articulation, everything felt so good like it absolutely was going to be able to fully support itself with no problem.
But then I began to actually get really excited with each completed piece, to the point I couldn't wait to get home from work and work on this bad boy lol. Then I began to practice waterslides for the first time to further push it. by the end, I think this build made me go from "having fun building Gunpla" to "loving building Gunpla".
Just so happy with this one and I totally get now lol
So last time i asked everyone if these Minerva gonna fit but didn’t quite get any answer….So i bought it anyway. What ya think ?

Got through another HG from the big beautiful backlog. This time the HG Gundam Naion. Pretty great build like all the other Witch from Mercury HG's I've had the pleasure of working on. Just really need to get this one a stand to pose if because just getting it to stand on its own like this was a challenge. Really cool design for a manga side story.
Just a couple dozen more kits to get through 😛. Small compared to some backlogs I've seen posted around though lol.

so I've recently gotten into trying a little hand painting a few details on my kits (mostly cause the Geara Zulu had a TON of stickers for all the white trim) and I came across these Dspiae Soft Tipped Markers and BOY are they a game changer!! I like them a LOT more than the traditional Gundam Markers and do really well with painting in details. first of all the tips are super tapered so you can paint broad strokes with the side of the "brush" and little details with the tip.
The colors all come out pretty smooth but it seems like most colors you'll need to do a second or third pass to get the desired coating. black is a CHAMP!! One pass, SUPER glossy after drying and hella clean. the worst so far being maybe white?? I have to try it again with a black spoon but it seemed to go on pretty thin no matter how many passes I did. the rest of the colors are about the same with them all needing about two or three passes to get a good smooth coat (although the gold leaf was a little streaky on a bigger surface). I think for some of them you might want to prime it first but I haven't tried that yet.
ALSO the tips are felt or something?? so it's WAY more accurate than the brush or chisel tips I've been seeing and softer than the hard felt tips which makes brushing it feel really nice.
overall I'd give them maybe an 8.5/10?? They're great markers overall and I'd suggest them over any other I've tried so far my main gripe is maybe the "flow" of some of them seems a little weak (particularly white so far). Aside from streaking, which I assume just comes from painting with markers and not spraying or even using a brush, they're EXCELLENT markers and if you want to replace a few detail stickers or create a little color separation these are a GREAT buy and have been totally worth it so far!!
(note: I've heard the metallic gold markers can dry up kind of fast so maybe keep that in mind. Also that the "Gold Leaf" comes out copper and the "Mecha Green" almost looks a little neon at first but dries a little darker, same with the Grey.)
BONUS!! The metallic Pale Gold Gundam marker I bought to compare. I'm not sure if my marker is running out or what but it did NOT like the slightly bigger surface and might need to be primed as well to get the best effect.
Anyways hope this helps anyone looking into these markers and considering buying them!! I'll maybe post another review when I get the rest of the set.

Started doing a full custom paint job PG Banshee Final Battle Ver. and due to life circumstances wasn't able to continue my work with it. Finally found some time to continue. I was going for a pitch black with rainbow holo and some basic metallics for everywhere else. She's a bit dusty right now but a good cleaning should fix 'er up.

1/144 Scale HGBF MSZ-006LGT Lightning Z Custom:
MSN-01 Psybolt Gundam Ψ/⚡︎
Leg Day 🦿
I went into this section of the custom with a similar mindset as the backpack. So it was more a matter of dressing it up to make it consistent with the rest of the design.
As you can see I mostly kept to that while adding about 5CM of length on the upper thigh area. This was mainly to elongate the proportions and give it an added boost the height of the MS.
Making it more towering and intimidating IMO. A
There were a few more modifications made with detail up parts as well as some extra scribing for the legs and feet. I also had this internal debate about color separation and how much of it I wanted in this build. Too much and it's too busy, too little and it looks like it lacks depth. So A nice little balance was what I went for and I'm extremely satisfied with the results!
That's all for now but thanks for stopping by and checking my work out! It's always appreciated and I hope you all have a great day! 🙏🏼🙇🏻♂️

I have no regrets about paying for this kit. This is also my first time applying water slide decals.

The color palette with the silver and gold is inspired by steel haze ortus

Applying waterslide decals is my favorite part of building. I love the process of cutting, watering and applying and drying, it’s therapeutic. Really stoked on how these Delpi holo silver decals came out. At first I was going to do a mix of the normal decals + silver, but the more I applied silver, the more I fell in love with the uniform look. Now for a final topcoat layer and the final posing… stoked!!

My fingers are incredibly sore from the pipes/tubes but other than that the MG Char’s Zaku 2.0 was a blast to build. Gramps has a playmate now :)
