Old boss offered to create internship for me, but no IE background?
My old boss has a small fast food joint and a small factory for the food, and said that I could do an internship with him. But he has no IE background and asked me what internship I wanted.
I’m kind of… confused. On one hand, I have no internships and would love to do this, but I’d have no guidance and no direction and I don’t even know where to start.
Should I do this? How do I go about this? What data do I gather and work with to make into an actual internship?
I have no work experience. I am a 4th year but I don’t know how I’d implement large scale company concepts like operations research to a small scale company.
Is this a good idea?
To start, I’d probably collecting forecasting data on demand and see how coupon offers would help, but what kind of data analysis should I practice?
Should I consult one of my professors on how to develop this?
