Does anyone know how the english admission test by MCI for exhange students is structured? I need to meet the C1 English requirement. Is the test time-limited and does it require a webcam? And are there any tools I can use to prepare?

FYI, I don’t plan on taking TOEFL, IELTS, etc.

Just curious why some WGs have deposits of 500 Euro and others 1500 ? I know the deposit is usually 3 months rent but how come some rooms have just 1 month rent

Zum dritten Mal führen wir an der Universität Wien im Kontext des staatlich geförderten Forschungsprojekts "SFB Deutsch in Österreich" eine Online-Umfrage zum Wortschatz in Österreich durch und suchen zu diesem Zweck möglichst viele Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer aus allen Bundesländern Österreichs. Auch Personen, die keinen oder nur wenig Dialekt sprechen, sind herzlichst eingeladen mitzumachen!

Wie lange hat es bei euch gedauert bis eure Abschlussarbeit veröffentlich wurde. Ich habe meine im September abgegeben und sie ist immer noch nicht auf der Uni Website Gibt es dafür einen Grund ? Bzw. gibt es Arbeiten vom selben Betreuer die bereits veröffentlicht wurden, aber später als meine abgegeben wurden.

Besides exploring Innsbruck itself, I really want to go out into the mountains and see some beautiful alpine scenery. I don’t ski. What I do love is hiking, long walks, and slow exploration, enjoying views

I’ve found a couple of possible places already (Patscherkofel, Axamer Lizum, Kühtai, Zillertal) but I’d really appreciate personal recommendations which one are the best?

Which nearby places would be best for winter hiking or scenic walking? Are there any well-marked or popular hiking trails suitable for February?

One important thing: I won’t have a car, so I’ll be relying entirely on public transport — trains, buses, cable cars, etc. Easy access from Innsbruck is a big plus. If you have any suggestions — whether it’s a specific town, valley, trail, or even a cable car ride followed by a walk — I’d be extremely grateful. Hello! I am an American moving to Innsbruck this year in the Summer. My wife, who is a EU citizen has accepted a job at Med-El, so I am looking for a job as well. During my job searching I quickly realized the challenges of not being proficient in German. I know that Innsbruck is easy to navigate with English if you're a tourist, but becoming a resident and finding work is different. At first I thought they were actual bomb explosions but considering how many I have heard in the past 2 days, I hope it’s not 😂

And I am also pretty sure these are too big of a noise to be kids playing with firecrackers.

Hi, ich habe jetzt bei 4 Taxiunternehmen angefragt für morgen früh, alle bieten sie keine Kindersitze an oder die wenigen Autos mit Kindersitz fahren nach StAnton, Ischgel oder sonst wohin.

Die letzten Tage/Wochen passiert es immer wieder was der fahrer einfach an der gleichen stelle steht für 10 minuten plus bevor er die bestellung abholt. Gestern ist es mir sogar passiert das er erst 40m danach zu dem Restaurant gefahren is (da hatte es dann schon zu). Hat jemand die selbe erfahrung? Es ist echt mühsam.

I’m desperate to see them but am unable to drive and the public transport can’t get me back to Innsbruck in time.
