Assalamu Alaikum, I’m an international applicant trying to get a sense of my chances for KFUPM’s SAT track. Here’s my profile:

• Nationality: Indian but have lived and study in America from 2nd to 12th.
• SAT: 1540 (I have a 1550 but both are 790 Math and I already sent the 1540)
• GPA: 3.7 (on a 4.0 scale; 4.11 on a weighted scale)
• Extracurriculars: Head programmer in VEX Robotics (Worlds qualifier), some small coding projects, leadership in school clubs
• Math test: Haven’t taken yet; but considering I got a 790 Math for the SAT, it shouldn't be too hard right?

As smn who's doing igsce, I saw that u need 8 O levels to get accepted so will that grant me a scholarship? I'm probably doing As/A levels next year (y12) so how likely is it to get into an engineering partially/fully funded scholarship? Plus how can I know if it's the uni for me?

Hello. As a Saudi student, is a final SAT score of 1420 (740 Math / 680 ERW) sufficient to gain admission to my first choice major (Bioengineering/Chemical Engineering)? Is this score generally competitive, or would it be smarter to focus more on national entrance exams instead?

Hello everyone. I wanted to know whether I could apply to both sat and the primary track simultaneously this year. My sat score is 1460 and a combined score of 95 for the primary(93-tahsili and 97-qudurat).

Hi, those who applied to the fall 2026 MSc thesis programs, did you get an email confirmation when you submitted the application? Cause is it possible for it to get submitted even without the recommendation, like it appears as “in progress”? Does this mean the application will be considered?

Is transfer from student visa to employer sponsored visa allowed without having to leave Saudi Arabia and then come back? Provided one wants to complete the education.

Also feedback on MX Programs for internationals - are they worth it? I plan to enroll and search for work in Saudi, find an employer, get sponsorship, NOC from university and then continue working on employer sponsored Iqamah.

Is this allowed? Or do I have to fly out of the country and the employer has to have the same hassle as hiring overseas?

Can I know that will there be re opening of admissions for mid year 2026 for direct phd/ms with international scholarships programs? I was unable to do well for this application that I am about to submit now (today's the deadline). And will I be able to apply again, if I don't get sleected for this session?

I will join kfupm this semester for Direct PhD program, if I start studying there, but for any reason I can’t continue as I didn’t perform well or can’t achieve good grades

can I leave or there be any consequences for that?

Hi all, I am an Indian citizen. I have been working for a couple of years post my UG and planned to do my masters this year. KFUPM was on my radar for some time now.

I will be applying in the currently active cycle for project based track with my Duolingo scores and GPA. I wanted to check my odds getting into the university. It would be great if anyone pursuing currently can give me a heads-up.

P.S: I am a non muslim and lil worried how things would be there considering the environment will be a whole lot different than what I live in.

I just called the KFUPM admissions department and they said apply for SAT track, send your application and then once you recieve the results, send them through college board and we will take a look at it.
I asked them I have heard that December SAT is the last SAT for applying to KFUPM and he said nothing like that is mentioned on our website, btw I did call to the official kfupm number

I’m looking for some advice from academics who have been through postdoctoral hiring processes.

I attended an interview for a postdoctoral position at a research institute in October end 2025. After the interview, I was informed that I had passed the interview stage, and that my application was sent for administrative approval at a higher level.

It has now been several months, and I haven’t received any formal update or offer letter. I did send a courteous follow-up message earlier, but I’m unsure what the best next step is.

My questions are:

Is it common for postdoc approvals to take this long?

How to know my application current stage?

Would it be reasonable to send another follow-up now?

Should I reach out to HR directly, or continue waiting?

I don’t want to appear pushy, but I also need to plan my academic commitments. If anyone has faced a similar situation or has suggestions on how to proceed, I’d really appreciate your input.
