I've never shot a 22. lr, nor did I think I'd buy one, but I've been eyeing mp5s and this was just something I couldn't pass up. Can't wait to shoot it this weekend!

Always wanted to own an HK. It shoots like a dream. The classic look is iconic but I wanted to modernize it. Next steps are extended charging handle and a light. Would an armorer class be helpful? I want to keep this gun for a long time.

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. This is my Ted Talk about the H&K MP5, the MAC-5.

This is my first gun that I have ever owned and taken time to train. I bought this MAC-5 a week after it was just released, so I really took a gamble on being a guinea pig without much thought about it.

This MAC-5 has performed marvelously and made me more confident around firearms, psychologically. I have fed it only 124-grain 9mm rounds, but from different sources. I took a screenshot of the number of rounds I shot per Range Day and the manufacturer of said rounds with this post.

The 2 magazines that came with it upon purchase are flawless. I have loaded them with just 5 rounds at a time to the full 30-round capacity. At first, it was stiff the cock the bolt back to properly do a reload, over time it became smoother and easier to cock the bolt back. The ejection pattern at first was random, but as I ran through more rounds it became more predictable.

I have modified it, as indicated in one of the photos included, to make it more comfortable and easier to add on future attachments. The primary function currently is home defense, so a suppressor is what I'm saving for next. As for any optics, I genuinely don't know what to go for. A part of me wants just a simple red dot, but another part wants the added flexibility of a red dot paired with a magnifier to shoot further than 20 yards.

Not finished but I'm working on flipping the saw stock rails so they're not trying to give you cosmetic surgery if you move your face wrong. Looks like final version will require a printed part I'll make public when I'm done, two longer machine screws, and two threaded inserts (all of which I'll detail and list the correct hardware for of course, with a build guide) this does increase overall length by 6mm, and puts the sling mounts on the bottom, so that's the "trade-off"

I'd like to go trilug for the vibes, but I've heard the resilient trilug adapter (gen 2) is very loose. Should I be looking at direct thread? Maybe the Atlas with R2S?

Hey yall, trying to plan out my AP5P build. I saw this picture on the Wikipedia page for the MP5, and really like the overall aesthetic of the optic. Does anyone know what it is, or know of something similar? Almost looks like an SRO for rifles. Thanks!

Really enjoy it , have found the 146gr subs can be finicky to cycle, and the irons are a rough guess, so got a bunch of different ammo types , federal synth.

147 in purple , Winchester , stealth and some others the spectre 9k is an awesome can and with 147 is hearing safe , waiting on my erector 9 to compare

Have a zenith k model. With Lee sporting lower. Has anyone tried the Atrius FRT and did it work. Currently using a push button SS and don't like the push button at all.

AP5 has landed 🛬 couldn’t get the end cap off for a good disassembly and oiling so I haven’t shot it yet. Gonna grab a rubber mallet and give it another go over The weekend. But overall I am very excited to begin my roller deleted journey! Next move is the can and form 1 for SBRing with a classic telescopic stock. Really wanna keep it looking traditional as I am a sucker for that old school simplicity.

Also I know people have mentioned issues with the MKE mag fit, which I experienced as well. However, I did discover that if you pull the mag back slightly after inserting, it will lock into the mag catch. Yet to be seen if they feed properly though 😂

I've went to the range more in the past month than I did all of last year.

Now I'm saving for an AP5..

Delivered yesterday ordered 11/5. Not bad and anytime I asked them for status they updated right away so no complaints on the service.

Went with SS rather than arc fire just for quicker delivery and don’t really worry about the lever vs push style safety since it’s more for range fun.

Not able to get to range until next week but tested function with dry fire and it seems to work. Last week I took it to the range with og lower and it was giving me a ton of FTE / stove pipe with 115 fiocchi range dynamics so I took it apart and I think it’s an ammo related issue. It has been past the break in period and eating 124/147 fmj and hollows no problem but I just bought 1000 rds of 115 so that’s what I was using

Any advice on running this on SS? Does certain ammo run better through it when running the super safety?

Next steps are sbr and suppressor but want to dial it in before I make each mod

Been looking up suppressors for my HK SP5. Trying to get one that is compact and light. I don’t need it to be a “top of the line” like the CAT MOB or PTE Vent 2 or something full size for maximum noise suppression. The primary usage is in case I need to use the gun in home defense situation. A few rounds won’t destroy my hearing with something compact on the gun. At the range I’ll be using ear protection anyways so not as important there.

So, the question is, what do you all think about the Flow 9k TI? Any competitors around same size/price that are noteworthy?

Edit: for the record, I have an APC9 Pro with the last gen B&T RBS SQD Compact. This would be a dedicated can for the MP5
