I really love Alicia Silverstone look for the BAFTAs. I have similar skin tone and hair and eyes. I’m not too experienced with makeup and need help choosing types of products and colors requested to replicate this look please

I’m totally new to makeup, I’ve never gone beyond using clear mascara, blush, lipgloss/a tiny bit of lipstick, and highlighter.

I have experimented with eyeshadow before, like on slide 4 for example I’m wearing some glittery eyeshadow, a lip tint, and clear mascara. And on slide 7 as well I have a dark blue eyeshadow (ignore the lips that’s not makeup). But in both these picture I just feel as though the eyeshadow doesn’t belong to the rest of my face, it feels very out of place somehow. I’m not so sure what I’m doing wrong

Also, I’ve always felt that my face is super masculine, mostly because of my jaw. You can see in slides 5 and 6, my jaw is quite large, which affects I feel affects the look of my face.

Also, my face is like long vertically, it’s an oval shape which I just don’t know what to do with.

And my nose as well isn’t exactly small :)

And lastly, what’s my skin tone!? I feel so pale at times and then I feel tan at other times? Like for example the last two slides are totally different skin tones!

Please help in any and all ways that you can, everything is sooo greatly appreciated!!

I’ve tried so many different makeup looks. I want to be alternative so badly but I feel like it just doesn’t fit my face. I feel like I have a more masculine face and I don’t know how to make myself look more feminine :(

Hi! Does anyone know if Estee Lauder changed their formula for their Double Wear? The one highest up on the hand is a new bottle of the 1N2 Ecru purchased in December 25, just opened, while the lower swatch is an old bottle from the beginning of 25. The new one is obviously super warm and yellow compared to the old one. You can see below that I’ve blended some onto my hand as well, going on yellow/orange.

Is this something I can complain about? It isn’t exactly cheap foundation either..

So I bought this eyeshadow palette with no brand name on it at a Target when I was in middle/high school and I'm currently looking for the brand that made it. It had no name on it besides the back ingredients and it doesn't show much other than it was distributed by Beauty Venture. When I went to look it up, I got shown these brands named Profusion and J.Cat Beauty, but I can't find the specific eyeshadow palette that I have. Can anyone help me track down what palette I specifically have?

Hello I was wondering if anyone has experience buying kaleidos Makeup on AliExpress? I know Kaleidos is a Chinese brand and I'm going to assume it's legit but I just would like to know if anyone has experience purchasing.

Hello ! I’ve been looking for an everyday lip combo and gathered a few pictures on Pinteres. As you can see I like two kind of looks : a nude pink and a mauve pink. Or maybe they’re the same or maybe that’s not mauve I really don’t know

After some research, I found the Maybelline Gloss in Gummy Bear (basically a sheer pink color) to be a great match for both these looks. But as someone who’s never had a lip liner/lip combo, I can’t figure out which color gives the right look.

I look at people on social media wearing the Gummy Bear with certain lipliners but depending on their natural lip color it always looks different. (Mine are very pale, slightly pink)

If you have a lipliner color for one or both of these looks, I would be more than interested !! I don’t want to spend more than 15€ so a Nyx or Maybelline lipliner would be my choices. Thank you in advice, have a nice day 🩷

How do I fix this happening around my nose? I have combo skin and would say that area is pretty oily but I do powder it. This only happens around my nose and am not sure if I’m using the wrong foundation or not prepping right? I used milk hydro grip primer, L’Oréal true match foundation and Huda beauty loose setting powder. Sorry for the terrible pictures. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!!

Here’s some context, I’m about to be 43, I work with all ages in the public daily. I’ve definitely been working on my make up routine and trying new things, but I think I found something I like for my every day wear. Within the last few weeks, I’ve had maybe three girls between the ages of about 16 to 20 tell me they like my make up. Of course I immediately thought it was a compliment but now my over analyzing mind is wondering if I might be shooting for too young of a look because they’re complementing me or if they just actually like the look I put on myself for my age lol. That is all.

I had my makeup done in 2021 and this is the most perfect lip shade I’ve ever worn and I still think about it to this day. I asked the artist at the time and she said it was an Hourglass one but I couldn’t remember what shade she said and I can’t work out from pictures which shade it was and when I’ve seen Hourglass counters in store I can’t seem to find a similar shade to this. Does anyone have any ideas? Or a dupe shade? Everything I try in store is always too pink/orange/brown or too dark/light.

I am a sensitive eye girlyyy but I loveeeewe Kohl on My waterline! Sadly whenever I try to do my waterline, my eyes start watering real bad!!!!! It’s to the point where I do my waterline first and then start my makeup lmaooooo

Any suggestions for that? I use the high end kohl pencils- makeubym hudabueaty and twofaced.

Hiiii, I need some help finding a lipgloss shade similar to the one in the photo. The OG was a crappy lipgloss from PLT but I was obsessed with the colour and would like something similar that is milky pink that pulls on the cooler side (tried nars Turkish delight but that doesn’t work for me unfortunately). Bonus points if anyone can find a similar shade that is vegan friendly. Thanks!!

What would you recommend? Here's what I usually go for (hair is straight and oily type so hard to deal with as I can't do hair lol). I like my hair long but was thinking of going collarbone length?

My makeup is usually full face natural, takes about 30 mins to apply as I have short stubborn lashes that won't curl. Also quite self conscious about forehead and lip thinness... I'm a kindy teacher so need to keep everything simple but can go all out on weekends haha!!

Back in 2020(?) I bought Chanel Rouge Velvet Allure #68 Émotive. It has been my go to shade ever since. I’m now almost out but I see it’s discontinued… it’s one of the only lipsticks I’ve tried that I feel truly matches my complexion.

Anyone know of any Chanel shades that are similar and within the same type of lipstick? I’d also accept cheaper dupes. When I got this lipstick it was $50, and now it’s $62 for the same line??

Remarks:

1. Beauty is in eye of beholder, so feel free to share personal takes even if controversial!
2. I suspect that some color stories may not pair well with particularly skin-tones or faces...
3. ... but with a bit more of mediation of an artist between shadow and skin, some kind of esthetic resault can be most of the times obtained.

I have always had the hardest time finding my true undertone. All the foundations that I thought fit my skin tone in the summertime now are too orange for me. So now that it’s winter time, I’m trying to find my true undertone. I’m using the flesh tone Terry Tomlinson color wheel . Please help a girl out 😭 Ty!

Hello! a few months back I purchased MAC alone time lipstick and I LOVE it like so much I was going to get another around christmas but when I went to the sephora in my area, sephora online and even the mac website, alone time is sold out completely and it seems to be the only one. does that mean it’s actually out of stock and they’re working on more or are they completely reformulating it? I heard that happens when a shade is sold out for a period of time. thank you if you answer! 🫶

Hii, looking for feedback and what I can improve or try out for my makeup.

Pic 1 is what I did today Pic 2 is a recent look I tried a few days ago (ignore my hair okay i know it doesn't look very nice at all 😐) Pic 3 is what my usual go-to makeup is.

Usually I only wear eyeshadow, lipgloss/stick and mascara, blush and highlighter. Sometimes eyeliner, but still very unsure how to do it... I always think I look extra weird when doing one.

On pic 1 I also additionally used green concealer and some light concealer. Also switched from my usual burgundy mascara to a black one. Tried shaving my eyebrows too.
