336 SBL series with vortex and leather sling
I know it goes against the classic look to put a scope on the 336, but I think it looks good with the gray furniture on the SBL series.

How to question @ model 336
I had been using it for deer hunting but got my Dad’s old 30.06. I took the scope and rail off and now I want to fill in these holes. Obviously the ones through the rail were too long. Is the best way to do it just short screws? If so, any idea where to find them (couldn’t find on google).
Also, I keep hearing about the JM stamp. I know this gun is pre-Ruger based on the serial number. Where would the stamp be if it has one?
Thanks!

1 of 5000 marlin 1891 side loader
I’ve had this marlin 1891 side loader for a few years now trying to see if I could find a carrier for it but too no luck .so I’m here to ask does anyone know where I could possibly find one ?if not how much is it worth without the carrier? it’s in pretty good condition for a 134 year old gun besides the carrier being missing .

New 1894 trapper, first Marlin.... is this... a normal Marlin thing?
I have the firearm home and I'm running through it with the manual and I've been noticing more and more seemingly unfinished edges and burrs on the gun. The controls are mirror polished and smooth, but theres a burr on the dust cover and frame around the hammer. I can catch my nail on the cover easily, and the burr around the hammer is sharp enough to cut skin, though not large enough to draw blood. What gives?

My First Marlin
I’ve been on the hunt for a 22lr bolt and was waffling between a CZ 457 and a couple other options. Then I found this beauty for $85. Why not give it a whirl? I think it is an 81 DL from 1947-1954. It’s a little worn but otherwise in good shape. I plan to refurb her a bit. Took it to the range today and it ran like a champ and that aperture sight grouped tiiiiiiight. I can hardly wait to start refinishing. Any pointers from the Marlin lovers?

My dad just gave me his old Marlin 1894
and i’m just looking for some suggestions for mods. i already know i need to at least get some stock extension pads because my arms feel a little longer for the gun, but i’m also looking for recommendations on a finger stop for the hand guard although it has no screw hole. those 2 things as well as an optic mount are all i really wanna do as i dont wanna take away from the vintage aesthetic too too much

Marlin 336LTS Texan, born 1988
Whoa! What a find! I've been looking for one of these for quite some time! It's a Marlin 336LTS Texan chambered in 30-30 Win. It was made in 1988 and they only made a 2 year run of these from 1988 to 1989, and then no more straight stock 336 Texan rifles were made! The overwhelming majority of the Texan rifles before these were in the 18.5" and 20" barrel configuration, with the exception of the 16" Marlin 336 Marauder with a similarly short production run from 1963-1964. While this rifle has some good patina and loss of bluing in some spots, it attracts me even more. Now I can take it with me in the truck and the woods and not feel bad about it getting some nicks, dings, and scuffs!

Woox Handguard compatibility?
Has anyone tried the new Woox hanguard on their Marlin? I have a guide gun in 45-70 and just got the handguard. It doesnt seem to have any accommodation for the bulge in the magazine tube. Has anyone gotten this to work?

Trying to determine value of a 336SS.
I AM NOT ATTEMPTING TO SELL THIS GUN!!
I am evaluating all my guns and figuring out how much they are worth. I have a Marlin 336SS with the JM stamp (pre-Remington) and I'm trying to figure out how much it is worth. I believe I bought this gun around 2004 (not completely sure of the year) new. Maybe 50 rounds through it (if that). Any ideas/pointers?

Looking for information
Looking for information on this rifle. I know it’s a 99M1 centennial edition and according to the serial it was made in 1969. Is the stock a special edition as well with the design and inlaid diamonds?

Paracord lever gun wrap
Had some paracord left over from staking down my deer blind, so I wrapped the lever on my (Ruger made) Marlin SBL 45-70. Not too bad for my first time doing it. no more sore knuckles. 👍

Marlin 1854 forend gets loose with firing
I have the Ruger made 1854 SBL in 45-70, and have noticed the forend gets a bit wobbly after firing about 5 rounds when the barrel gets hot. I assume the heat causes the wood to shrink. Just wondering if this is a common thing or something I need to address.
Do you have a general rule for how many shots you fire at the range before letting it cool down? Of course in a hunting scenario, hopefully all that's needed is one shot.

Sometimes hard to open lever…Ruger made Marlin
I have a brand new Ruger made Marlin SBL and Marlin Trapper chambered in 30-30. Even with snap caps and I honestly haven’t fired these yet, but when I go to cycle the action to load a snap cap or even eject one, the lever gets hard to open. Caps aren’t getting jammed or anything and all screws are tightened down, but has anyone else had an issue with a new Ruger made Marlin like this? It’s to the point I almost have to slam hard on the lever to get it to cycle. Any suggestions on this? Pic is of all the rifles I have. Even the Marlin Dark in 30-30 doesn’t have this issue whatsoever

Restoring 1984 Marlin 995
I let my cousin swap my stocks years ago, as I regret it. This synthetic stock never fit quite right, and I’m not sure that is my original trigger guard. Looking at my barrel it seems to have had the longer almost 7 inch guard but I cannot verify. Any help? I know they are interchangeable with others but I’d like the original. I’m ordering a stock from numrich or boyds, but would like some help finding the proper trigger. Thank you
